Hey, so I've played Doki Doki Literature Club and I loved it. Not because of cute art style at the beginnig of the gameor later horror elements, but because of things that are going on when the 4th wall is broken and you're browsing game files and try to get as much information about what's going on as possible. I'm talking about second attempt to the game after Monika incident and (on the next level) project Libitina and so on. It was really great experience for me to play the game that knows it's a game. Now I'm looking for something similar, where you have to solve computer-based (I know it sounds stupid) puzzles (if you can incorporate programming into this, it would be great) to find some hidden information. It doesn't have to be a game per se but I don't know exacly how to find such puzzles. I hope I made myself clear with spoiler info and hope for some good recommendations. Any help is appreciated.

i tried to recall games that contain breaking 4th wall, as i like this theme myself aaand it seems that although some do contain more of less of what you're talking about, not many are based entirely on the concept of breaking 4th wall etc. (or it's just me that doesn't know them) so, there are some titles that might interest you: - pony island (a lot of 4th walls broken here) - oneshot (i only played older, non-steam version so i'm not sure if it still has that 4th wall theme but i hope it does) - off - undertale - earthbound - sword&sworcery - any metal gear solid (i think? unfortunately i never played it but heard some stuff) - the stanley parable also you may want to read about lose/lose game but you probably don't want to download it

Thanks for the list. I'll definitely check these games. Played Undertale and heard of Stanley Parable. So this kinds of puzzles occur only in games as a additional content for interested players or are there prepared sets of challenges that require you to find some hidden info to pass the challenge. I think it would be nice to play with these things, where you go from one point to another within one challenge and unveil some clues about final solution. Like where you need to do some web searching and programming to get through traps and so on. Like Indiana Jones movies but with computers instead of mummies.

notpron: http://notpron.org/notpron/ A fully web-based puzzle game. There is no plot, characters or 4th wall breaking, but it is entirely about the out-of-the-box kind of thinking that you seem to want. I found the puzzles very satisfying back when I played it.

Thanks, will look into it. May be the thing I was looking for. Does it have jumpscares or similar things?

I don't think it did? I played it 10 years ago though.

I immediately stated notpron and so far it's great but passwords are somewhat creepy as well as ambience sounds of levels...

,,tears under john's mad notes of pain did he answer demon's call now" Guys, it gets creepier. Is it just for crazy aesthetic purposes or what?
