Do you know any 1-player card games? (standard 52 and 4 jokers).

>>9180 No, no, no I don't mean that solitaire freecell klondike accordion crap. I'm looking for like something like yugioh-without-the-art, chess with cards, snap, something exciting I've never heard of. Maybe even a book that shows you how to invent card games.

>>9181 Look into Solo RPGs, there is a huge selection on the "Physical Games" tag on itch.io and on r/Solo_roleplaying. If you find one you like and can't be arsed to pay for it, you can get it from Anna's archive or Z-lib. Some may require a digital or physical paper notebook to track your progress, but you can simply remember the events that transpired yourself. Usually the games will ask you for D&D dice but you can tweak the rules so only a D6 is needed. Discord has dice roller bots you can add to your server or you could simply download an app that rolls dice for you. A good beginner game is Ironsworn, there are others depending on your favorite genre and mechanics. If you like making maps, there's Cartographer. You can turn D&D, Cyberpunk or Call of Cthulhu (check out the Solo Investigator's Handbook) into solo RPGs. As for mechanics, if you don't want lots of hassle and want to start with something quick you can easily memorize, check out r/onepagerpgs. Otherwise I use The Solo Adventurer's Toolbox https://dn721906.ca.archive.org/0/items/solo-adventurer-tool-box-p-2/Solo%20adventurer%20%20ToolBox%20P2.pdf

At one point I lost my dice set and I was using cards until the new set arrived. To simulate a d3, assign joker as 1, queen as 2, king as 3. To simulate a d4 use only suits. Assign spades as 1, hearts as 2, clubs as 3, diamonds as 4. To simulate d6 or d8, draw 1 card, if its value is bigger than 6 or 8, redraw. To simulate d10... you get the drill. To simulate d12, assign jack as 11 and queen as 12. If you draw joker or king, redraw. To simulate d20, all spades from ace to 10 are the values 1-10 and all jearts from ace to 10 are values 11-20 for d20. I never used the d10s.

https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Building_a_House_of_Cards >It can be difficult, but persevere and you can do it! >The house of cards relies on nothing more than balance to stay upright. >There's no glue, and no damage or alterations are made to the cards themselves. >The larger your house, the more likely it is to fall. https://www.wikihow.com/Build-a-House-of-Cards >Choose your surface carefully. Pick a safe, sturdy space that will not shift while you're stacking cards. >Stay calm. A shaky hand or a sudden twitch can make your house crumble.
