So I'm trying to play some video files on a homebrewed Wii. While it works fine if I use a non partitioned USB, it works fine, but I use Ventoy, so the Wii only detects the Ventoy partition, but I want it to detect the other one. Does anyone have a fix for this?

>>6272 As far as I know, Wii only supports FAT32 partitions and the max capacity is 32GB. And I think having multiple partitions isn't supported. You need to repartition the USB drive and make sure you have only 1 FAT32 partition. You can use gparted GUI on Linux (SystemRescueCD includes gparted: https://www.system-rescue.org/).

did you tried to use WiiBackup Manager anon? i have problem with this when i unlocked mine too, but was because of the format and location of the games on usb, try to use Backup Manager, imo is better than ventoy in that situation.

>>6278 Well, that's soykaf. I guess I'll just plug my external HDD directly then, since the media players support NTFS.

>>6280 I don't think you know what Ventoy is for. It installs a system into external storage that enables one to boot several OSs. Hence why it makes another partition and the Wii picks up the Ventoy partition instead of the free storage partition, and I haven't found a solution for this. Wii Backup Manager is used to handle Wii games.

>>6272 hello anon, this will never work without custom code. The Ventoy partition is a hit or miss also with old computers (say pre 2012) and architectures. If you could manually put the wii partition to be the first logical partition then your wii will detect it all fine. However your Ventoy will not work.
