Can you elaborate, OP?
Why do you find these games interesting?
I've seen too many soykafty spam threads today and I'm not sure whether your was made by a bot or not.

>Silent Hill 2
Genuinely scary game. Amazing atmosphere and story.
>MGS3
For the time this game was amazing. Large semi-open world and great story. Kojima added things in this game that was not in any game before this. The fact that you had to mend to Snakes wounds, cuts and broken bones was brilliant.
>San Andreas
The map was huge and the possibilities seemed endless. No other game in the series gave you this much control over the characters looks and physique. Of course it's a very small world compared to modern games.
Mostly I like these games out of pure nostalgia though.
What are your favourite games of all time?

Okay, thanks for confirming you're not a bot.

For me it's SOMA - great atmosphere, scary, gives but at the same time kills hope.
I played it 3 times already and want to play more.
It only looks scary and dull on trailers but is actually a beautiful adventure.
Sorry for the simple explanation but I'm not a poet or a great English speaker.

I think I have it for the PS4, but some bug got me stuck behind a pipe and couldn't get out so I quittet the game and just never tried it again. Might give it a go again

Just use a PC or something.
What pipe? The metro or...?
Armitage · 2021-09-06 11:27

I don't remember where it was. It was less than 10 minutes into the game. I don't even remember if the game was SOMA at all. This was 5-6 years ago

I don't recall a pipe you could encounter and easily get stuck behind that is 10 minutes into the game. You don't even leave the apartment in Toronto 10 minutes into the game unless you're doing a speed run.

Then I must have remembered it incorrectly. I did get stuck behind a pipe though. Where and when is irrelevant.
Unspecified · 2021-09-06 16:47
Cinemaplay slop and sandbox junk? Really OP, you can't think of anything better?
Anonymous · 2021-09-06 16:52

To add: what separates truly exceptional games from the chaff is depth and replayability. It's having a high skill ceiling and a reason to test that skill, and not wasting the player's time with superfluous junk.
Armitage · 2021-10-27 11:16

Low skill floor but high skill ceiling are desirable but hard to achieve....
Tomohisa "Tom" Kanezaki · 2021-10-27 11:45
that would be heroes of might and magic 3 that has endless content, best community, is free to play online and in lan, is still updated and developed and has growing player base after 3 decades in

I remember watching markiplier play this as a kid and how fuarrrking dumb the protag was because he didn't understand how copying his consciousness worked. A shame making custom maps for it never caught off like it did with amnesia. Weird because wouldn't a newer engine + game be easier to mod?

I only play fighting games because I like looking at big titty women in my vidya. I don't know anyone who doesn't play them for this reason.

Simon was a total n0rmie, a flat neurograph and probably was confused because of feeling detached from his body and suddenly popping into hell on the bottom of the sea.
But most importantly, he had severe brain damage because of the car accident.
So I think it's totally understandable why he was dumb.
>Weird because wouldn't a newer engine + game be easier to mod?
The API of HPL3 is probably more complicated and less documented, that's my guess.
