This is one of the best websites ever created and I want to be friends with the amazing people who use it. VRChat is a social game that lets you do things with people in virtual worlds. If you don't have a VR headset you can still play with a keyboard and mouse. A microphone is recommended so that it's easy for you to communicate. Also, I tried to make an account. You must fill out a google captcha. It doesn't allow any protonmail or disposable mail- seems like it only allows clients from gmail or yahoo. They also ask to verify it so I would be grateful if the person at argo@gmail.com could verify for me

Also I'd rather try to convince someone they're wrong and have a friendly discussion that benefits us both. You're only allowed to change your name every three months and I have 39 days left. But when I do change it again I'm going to leave it mostly unchanged because all of my friends know me as Report Hate and I don't want to confuse them. (Btw the name I'm going to switch to is a link that encourages people to use software that protects their freedom: u.nu/reporthate) I heard from two of the guys I reported getting a 1 day ban and a 10 day ban. So even if I end up putting the effort into reporting you (which is extremely unlikely and which involves me recording everything and editing a video) worst case scenario you go back to not playing VRChat for a short time which is what you were doing before you ever tried the game.

I was always an introvert and had problems talking to people and vrchat really made me confident speaking english online, but thats about it. The friends i made were temporary, the ones i played games with stayed a bit longer, but time moves on. There are legitimatly awesome and interesting people there and an evening there can be way funnier than anything ive done drunk. The thing is that there are actual pedophiles goin around, but those are pretty easy to notice if you ask me. Leaving this place made me feel free again and gave me my sleeping schedule back. Enjoy some nice evenings there, but please keep it occasional and dont prioritize people there, aslong as your real life interaction isn't complete soykaf.

I don't see what are you getting in return, you're basically giving away all of your information to google for what exactly? A gamified mumble experience? How can someone go through the TOS/privacy policy and think that it's a good idea to register an account for this "game"?

This thread could be considered poor and akin to an advertisement, moreso than a genuine discussion, but I'm going to leave it for the valuable purpose of continuing to criticize VRChat.

Its like inviting parents to your party, aint nobody insane enough to do that nor will many be enthusiastic to join a party hosted by their friends parents. You rather go where you can go wild. Now on to the main topic: Vrchat is for people fishing for approval with custom avatars, there is not much else to get. It has no real content. You can talk on any voicecom without all the hassle and do something else. Playing league while talking with friends on disc beats sitting in vrchat easy for example cause the bar is so low. Just look at second life, they apparently had much more freedom than vrchat and it still just turned into a place known for cybersex. Expect the same for vrchat. I already saw people using it for shooting vrporn on commission.

First of all it needs steam and as you said it offers nothing and what does vr actually add to socialize? VR is great for fantastic worlds, i dont see the point of doing chatting on a vr platform, might well just use irc or whatever. As you said secondlife had that already, there are plenty of foss clients and even servers for sl clones too, i see no reason to wage slave steam if there are free alternatives out there that actually let you modify the world.
