I'm really disappointed by this. I don't understand why they'd decide to be a limited sandbox engine instead of a proper-featured Minecraft clone. I would love a proper progression system and its own version of The End or Nether but no one's working on these. I get it, they don't owe me anything. I have no ill will towards the developers. I just wish there was a proper Free Minecraft alternative alternative.

-progression in minecraft is stupid, the game was fun because it was open-ended -you need mods for minetest to be playable. The "base game" is really a really basic mod over the game engine -minetest is better than minecraft in every way

Kill a chicken, get an egg. Get seeds, plant wheat. Eventually it all culminates in a satisfying ending and there's always something to work towards. For me, the goal is always The End. Mineclone 2. Please do the minimum amount of research before criticizing a project for not supporting what already exists. You can have your unfun monsters and 64 block depth limit if you really want to.

I love survival mode way more than creative. AND, the default block depth is 256, way more than 64. Plus you can increase it, it's unlimited. Why would you play minecraft if all you care about is the rpg element? There are tons of rpg games. The only thing this game has going for it is the building aspect.
