First I'm sorry if an other Lainon made a thread about this or if it is a recurrent subject here, I'm not familliar with the board and despite some search I didn't find recent thread.
That beeing said I hope you can maybe help me or give me tips ?
So I was reading (or playing) Serial Experiment Brain (the Lain game on Playstation One , that work kinda like a visual novel but in a more complex way) but I have some trouble with some "Data" I can't find.
I'm currently on the 2nd part of the game (2nd Disc required), more precisely on "Site B : Level 07"
I have "Application Version 7.0"
However some Data are still un-reachable, I was expecting to find them with the Upgrade during the walkthrough but I still can't, so I was wondering of one of you can actually tell me if it is normal to still not have them unlocked, or if I'm missing something somewhere ?
Maybe you have some tips about "unlocking" data in general ?
Here's a little list of what I'm missing for the most part:
Touko's Diary
>Every Tda before 026
I suppose maybe these one are unlocked near the end of the game since every other dairy start at 001 but just in case I post it here.
Lain's Diary
>Lda066 to Lda074 ; Lda078 to Lda085 ; Lda087 to Lda089 ; Lda094 to Lda097
>Lda 121 to Lda 133 ; Lda135 to Lda139
>Several other smaller gap in Lda that I don't mention to not make this unbearable to read
As you can see the rythm are quite odd... I thought at the begening that I will unlock them, but looking at my check list now it really seems odd. I tried to access to each "link-word" on these data to see if it unlock something (like the 3 keyword in Lda065 to unlock Lda066) but it doesn't seems to work...
Research "Ky"
>Ere003 to Ere006
It's a recent unlock but still there is this gab despite trying each link-word the same way than the Lain's Diary, maybe I will soon unlock them but I'm not sure and since I'm asking for help, better post it too I guess ?
Movies
>Severals movies there and there, including a big gap between Dc1029 and Dc1040.
I know for sure you often unlock previous movie several level after, but I still find odd that some movie (Dc files) of Site A (first Disc) are still not unlocked at mid-depth of Site B (second Disc).
Also if it could be of any help, I can tell that the following Level of site A seems quite empty compared to the rest of them.
Site A: Level 15, 16, 17, 18 and 20.
So here it is, I hope it isn't too long or harsh to read, and mostly not a useless post because all these Data are meant to be unlock near the end of the "game".
At any rate, I hope some of you can help me and/or give me tips about this.
I appreciate any help and looking forward your replies.
Also I doubt they will read this but if the translators are here, big big THANKS YOU for that. It is clearly a blessing to be able to read this story because of your dedicated work.
