Now that the major ROM sites aren't serving downloads anymore, where is the best place to find ROMs for recent consoles (PS2/PS3 era)? Vimm's lair is unbearably slow and the big torrent sites only really have torrent packs for older consoles? Are there any good private trackers?

i just look for the individual roms inside the big packs.

I've been mostly getting my stuff from Coolrom but their servers are awful

archive.org actually has a huge amount of older ROMs iirc. failing that, the-eye.eu is always a great place to check.

This is from reddit:
• Vimm's Lair has never done me wrong. In fact, I don't think they even have ads, let alone viruses, and they have a collection of manual scans as well! Unfortunately, they only have US releases (EDIT: And some fan-translations of Japanese games, thanks /u/Beza74 for pointing that out).
• NicoBlog and its sister-site CDRomance have incomplete collections, but seem to have a lot of stuff I can't find elsewhere. Apparently NicoBlog even offers full ROM sets rather than having to download things individually, if you want.
• The Eye has games from many obscure systems as well as the more well-known ones, and seems to have pretty fast download speeds.
• The ROM Depot offers both individual games and full sets for many different systems, as well as quite a few scans of different game manuals.
• Portal Roms, like nicoblog and cdromance, has quite a few games that I can't find in other places (though there's also a lot they don't have).
• Edge Emulation seems pretty good, but I haven't used it much, and they're completely missing PlayStation games.
• EmuParadise's file servers aren't actually offline yet; the games can still be downloaded by using the greasemonkey script offered here.
I've used ROM Depot and Vimm's Lair myself and can confirm that these are legit and have a broad variety of ROMs to choose from.
