What are your thoughts on Ultima Online? I wouldn't be lying if i said I wasted half of my life playing this. Do any of you share the same obsession?

Oh, I loved this game. I didn't get to play it a whole lot, but what little I did play back in like '04 or so... I adored.
pic related. My grandparents took me up to the local mall and we grabbed this box. Too bad it was a monthly fee and I had no money. I spent most of my time obsessing about Runescape and (Asheron's Call 2, which became World of Warcraft since everyone in my Alliance quit for WoW)

Never played it, RuneScape was more the thing when I was a kid. Was aware of UO quite a long time but never really looked at it until a few months ago. Looks really neat, something about the style of the visuals seems comfy.

You could always give it a go again for nostalgia, there's free tier accounts now apparently. I'm considering giving it a try.

played it on a rpg freeshard 2001-2004. fond memories of a great community that - in parts - still is in touch with each other (server is long gone tho).
