The World Ends With You

Have you played The World Ends With You? What did you think of it? I've played it and I think it was one of the most original games and best used the DS system's features.

I originally dismissed it as hip hop Kingdom Hearts but I played a part of the android version some time ago and I absolutely loved it. The setting is neat as hell and the soundtrack gave me a boner. Definitely waiting for the Switch version.

>>1151 It's one of my favorite games of my life and one of the most unique games that has the catalog of the DS. Yes it's not exactly perfect but it has so much good details like the battle system, a good OST, cool aesthetics, great characters and some important messages for your own personal growth. I love it and of course that i'm waiting the Switch version.

If you like this, you'll also like 9 hours, 9 persons, 9 doors

Perhaps i was missing something with this game. I did not really enjoy it too much i had to force myself to finish it. I intend on replaying it one day maybe my approach will differ. I really don't understand the love it gets each to their own.

It's the best game on DS, hands down. I got so into it when I first played, I ended up cataloging the entire debug menu. Lost my save data doing so, and it was worth it. Major faults would be in the linear stat scaling and how the best strategies for fights also involved taking any agency the enemies might have had away under a nonstop bombardment. Something fun if it wasn't fixed for later versions, or if you have the DS version available. Those tadpoles that latch onto you reduce your speed down to a lower limit, but that lower limit is still positive. Equip the red skull pin to get its flat movement speed reduction, get all the tadpoles on you, and watch as Neku starts running at about half full speed backwards and away from the cursor.

Having played the DS and Switch versions, I gotta say I prefer the DS one. Fighting on two screens using the control pad and the stylus was just too cool. I love the whole aesthetic, and Neku as a protagonist was more compelling than I thought he'd be. I liked seeing him open up and change slowly, as opposed to it happening all at once. Definitely a unique game, in any case. I recommend it to most people.

>Have you played The World Ends With You? I did, first game I played on my Ds >What did you think of it? Really liked it, the music, characters are aesthetic were great, the gameplay was alright but it get tiresome after a while. Luckily it's not a long game.

I thought it was a well put together game altogether. Great music, good story, unique and fun gameplay, you can even control how difficult it is and get rewarded for it which was really sweet. One of my fav DS titles

>>1151 I have it for DS, haven't played yet because I want to finish other games first.
