I just want to drop a line here saying that i can recommend jeffs vehicle server, its mad fun if you go on in the right time.
Chani · 2017-05-04 13:25
yeah what do you guys think of 8.2? i reckon it was overall gud soykaf except maybe the devastator model >>100 haven't tried it but i have actually heard a number of other players mention that server
Otto Normalverbraucher · 2017-05-04 23:26
Don't forget about the servers. Unofficial EU lainchan.org Xonotic 0.8.2 Server http://stats.xonotic.org/server/10833 /v/ Pacific [Xon/XPM/XDF | Voteable | 0.8.2] http://stats.xonotic.org/server/6459 This one is closer associated with 8/v/ and I host it, lainons are very welcome.
Anamika · 2017-05-05 00:27
>>110 >Unofficial EU lainchan.org Xonotic 0.8.2 Server Often times this server is empty, but worry not. I've found that if you join at evening time and wait for some 10 minutes, usually you get some stragglers joining, whether from lainchan or just people finding it on the server list.
Nell · 2017-05-05 00:40
>>112 A server being empty is nothing new, it's much to expect players being present at all times. But I think its ideal to support other lainon's servers. 2 players online at a common time is generally what it takes to kickstart bigger matches.
Hiro Protagonist · 2017-05-05 01:02
>>113 >nothing new Absolutely. I'm just saying this for people who might be used to more active multiplayer games. If new people look at the server list and see the mostly empty servers, they might (mistakenly) form the thought that the game is dead or highly inactive, which is totally wrong.
Erik Johansson · 2017-05-06 02:07
>>113 Yeah this. It's a huge snowball effect sometimes. And all it takes is for one person to be willing to jump around on a server at the right time. As soon as there's 2, there's 4, then there's 16 (if you're lucky)
Gyula Kovacs · 2017-05-12 09:07
I tried to sign up for league of quake just now what an effort it was, oh I wish simple games like this were more popular
Erik Johansson · 2017-05-14 09:19
>>112 to add to what >>113 and >>124 already said, you can usually hop on irc and ask people there to join. oftentimes someone will be willing to join, and once you have two players more will come

A month ago before the site went down and the threads purged, we tried to get a lainchan vs 8chan thing going, considering both imageboards have their own servers and playing communities, as friendly competition. Then a week later, 8chan got its scheduled game night event, and largely, the idea fell out of consciousness for a while. Are you guys still up for that?
Batou · 2017-05-19 16:20
>>192 Sure. Does 4chan have a team?
Splicer · 2017-05-19 17:48
>>194 As far as I know 4chan doesn't even play the game.
Lain Iwakura · 2017-05-23 17:24
What happened to the lainchan server? I'm not seeing it anymore
Cutter · 2017-06-03 03:02
Any aussies up for a game tonight (~8pm AEST)? There are gonna be a couple of us on the SMB servers. I'll try hang around on mumble if my internet isn't too soykaf. Regardless, I'll be on #xonotic.au (QuakeNet) with everyone else. >>192 I think this is a good idea but I'm not sure how we'd do it. Email me if you want to try and organise it. >>227 It's up for me. Try connecting to the server directly through 188.165.212.152:2600

>>242 Cross posting should be enough for organization. This is their Xonotic thread that is usually up. https://8ch.net/v/res/12414363.html I've assumed that picking a map pool, set of players, and a server would be enough for a modest event. 8chan's /v/ players are majority Americans while I think judging on lainchan's server it is majority European. Additionally [HUB] New York, supports competitive Team Deathmatch.
