What does /inter/ think about homebrewing?
I find it so interesting because of all the twists and turns the developers must go to get their game on the machine but for the life of my I can't see a good reason to do it. Everything an old console can do can be replicated in a modern PC: For example the Gameboy, the LCD screen and its quirks can be imitated with code and art direction, There is also cool stuff like the accelerometers in Kirby Tilt 'n Tumble but your homebrew game will not be able to replicate that anyway but on PC a special input device could be used. The only thing that can't be replicated is the feeling that the original machine gives.
