So Visage (behind Layers of Fear) released a cyberpunk horror game. The cyberpunk elements are awesome, it has a really interesting world and story which I won't spoil much of. Codex released it so you can get it for free already, I really recommend checking it out. Although don't play it too late into the night unless you decompress after, I think its mind-bending elements made it hard to fall asleep long after I stopped. Lemme know if you've played it or ask me questions about it, hoping to discuss it with people who've played

I'll download it as soon as I get to my home today, thanks for reminding me about it.

Looks really promising, although I doubt it will run on well on my dated hardware. It's really appealing that this game is set in Poland because every cyberpunk game ever is either set in US or Japan or imaginary country. Reminds me that I wanted to write a short story set in technologically advanced Soviet Union, since it's totalitarian plus I know the details of both social life and computers of that era. Eastern Block is one of the most underused locations for dark sci-fi/cyberpunk.

I was close to liking this game but then it started doing the whole "Hide from the monster" amnesia thing and throwing random puzzles in. It's an awesome environment and the characters are fantastic but I couldn't finish it because it felt like it was trying to be a game via random puzzles and soykaf, and that put me off.

Is it any good? Layers of Fear was fuarrrking soykaf.

I don't have the hardware to play the game but watched a let's play and enjoyed it a lot. The atmosphere is excellent and enjoyed the plot. Reminded me of Oryx and Crake mixed with some PKD.
