>Be me >On work experience as a student math teacher >End of grade 9 ace class "I like your tux and lain stickers. What distro do you use?" >Kid running Arch/riced hyperland on school chromebook. *Lain OS* wallpaper >Hosts homework on a laptop at home and accesses over Tor >Cool soykaf >Later this week they were first to hand in classwork - compound probability and tree diagrams. >"Cool work on other assignments for the rest of class" >Pretty sure I saw them on lainchan. Glad they did their work. >Marking later - kid didn't do half the sheet and got questions wrong. >wrote 'REDUNDANT" on a subtree when they realized it had the same probabilities as it's parent - then multiplied the wrong numbers when compounding >>Numbers that the tree exercise was there to illustrate So good news lain the kids are alright. Aesthetically. And show potential. Your regular teacher is right - you're way smart enough to get the content but you try to do XYZ before doing ABC. Also, trees can get cooler. You won't regret the leg work. Tor is overkill for hosting your portfolio of work but it's great experience. Take care out here in The Wired. Glowies stealing your math homework isn't the only thing I mean.

>neurosuggesting he didn't just run into a contingent of Limp Bizkit posters and is trying to rationalize his tor usage with an overkill use-case That's a .ped file

>Tor overkill It's unironically easier and safer to host over Tor than clearnet. No NAT block, domain name rent seek, backdoored TLS root certs. No need to buy a VPS with an email, password, phone, credit card if you have a spare computer. >>>/Ω/81756 and done, you can now access the computer from anywhere, free NAT, TLS and anonymity. Web apps, SSH, VPN, file host, anything. Speaks volumes about the absolute state of clearnet.

>>85976 >It's unironically easier and safer to host over Tor than clearnet came here to post this with tor takes 2 minutes to setup a publicly accessible server behind any normal router/firewall/whatever. It works on all sorts of networks and behind all sorts of firewalls and routing spaghetti, and though you take a latency/bandwidth hit its really not that bad. It trivially dodges the dynamic IP problem and gives you confident authentication to boot.
