It has been 6 years now, how much could the world have been improved if he wasn't schizo. Terry Davis truly was a troubles genius.(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)

he was highly intelligent but the world wouldnt have changed one bit with him alive lol

If he'd been alive now it would not have changed the world massively. Besides, I don't think him developing TempleOS was a waste of a genius. If he'd done something "normal", like worked for Microsoft, his potential would be severely limited, and he would've only ended up as a completely replaceable programmer, doing work that others could do. TempleOS was something only he could do, and it is basically a work of art. Very few programs are as incredible and important as TempleOS. Imo, saying his life's work was a waste is like saying Picasso shouldn't have wasted his life on art when he could've been doing something more "useful".

>>83434 This: >>83438. >>83442 Macroshit would never let Terry have any serious influence on the product, because that's inconsistent with their assertion that the consoomer is a nothing more than dumb fuarrrking animal that abhors change. How could it appreciate real beauty? It's just a click-click fool, obviously incapable. The extra effort would be wasted on it. According to Big Daddy Gates anyway. It's a damn shame that industry only caters to cash cows. Money talks, but at the cost of widespread conceptual elegance. I fear that any future advancements would be left incomplete, shackled by the dollar. Any advancement would have to be done by those whose sole motivation is the advancement itself. But that's incompatible with capitalism. Maybe it could've been Terry, but the stars just didn't align. Maybe it's just hopeless. Or maybe there's a sliver of hope, but I'm just not seeing it.
