Corona-virus Thread

Trinity · 2024-06-20 08:12
In the wake of the closure of the thread about the Corona-virus, this is the new thread and your go-to to talk about this subject on Lainchan. If you’ve been living under a rock, here’s the summary so far: In 2019, the world was introduced to a variant of the SARS-CoV2 virus, more commonly known as COVID-19 and even more commonly known as the ’Corona-virus’. The impact of this virus have been paramount: in 2020, many deaths were reported which were, according to the reports, caused by the COVID-19 virus. As a results, all governments worldwide introduced a string of measures to deal with the situation: ‘lockdowns’ were implemented; ‘social distancing’ was introduced; working from home became the norm and, last but not least, vaccinations – mandatory or not – were given to many. The ‘pandemic’ is one of the greatest happenings of our times and because of it, the lives we’ve had are forever in the past. Many of us all still coming to terms with a great, many things related to this: where did the virus come from? Was what happened in our societies because of the virus in proportion to what the COVID-19 virus was? What are we experiencing now, four-and-a-half-years since the virus emerged in this world? Just some questions from the top of my head which I am certain some of you share. Global rules naturally apply. Since the topic causes much upheaval, I urge everyone to follow these rules. Don’t respond to trolls or flamebaiting.

I believe it's stupid to dismiss the virus as fake/never existing, same to the vax, including it being some chemical mind control or whatever. I think what's more important is discerning the origins of this virus, the implications of it's existence, and how it relates to the modern human condition. This is not to say let's dismiss the possibilities of the above not being true, but that it's extremely unlikely and unimportant to hyper focus on.
Acid Burn · 2024-06-20 10:18
labmade problem -> sell fake solution =3.4 trillion revenue and they prepping for a even worse play with pandemic contract currently. Basically tldrs to countries give up their rights to who under a pandemy.

>>82110 before anyone gets triggered: should have worded "fake solution" as "forced solution" They suppressed competing products to monopolize the market and failed to deliver on their promises. So its fake as in artificially forced upon the people by removing better options.

>>82107 Earth is probably a billion years old, humanity a million, modern human about a few thousand years and it's only this one TIPPING POINT where people were required to take the jab or no job/no grocery/no passport. It's fuarrrking dumb, the dumbest kind. Adtech and News/TV/Web all were exploited for this money-grubbing scheme and it worked really well. I don't think they won't "do it again" because it simply worked ALL TOO WELL and now they're coming after the deniers and anti-vax people. We've finally lost our humanity. Ipad kids everywhere, retards taking mrna soykaf (to be honest I'd rather take hrt than the cytokine storm cancer accelerator!) I also don't want to lose my hearing and taste again. And even worst part is the vaccinated are viral shedding (what did you expect when you took a spike printer hijacker that does the exact same thing as a virus but with prior "patented design").
Ishikura "Tatsu" Tatsuhiko · 2024-06-20 13:04
>>82111 What competing products do you mean? Were there better vaccines? I'm still very wary about going anywhere, I think long covid is real and it is very worrying that they have been shutting down means of monitoring how prevalent the virus is, presumably for political and economic reasons at the expense of public health. Have avoided catching it so far but it's still out there and seems likely it will be a threat indefinitely.
Unspecified · 2024-06-20 13:14
>>82113 There were many smaller corps who tried to compete and got shut down with "you have to do trial phase its unsafe ;D" They needed to shutdown all alternatives because legally they couldn't put rna injection on market if a conventional alternative existed. It passed under "special permit due lack of alternatives".
William Holtzer · 2024-06-20 14:00
>What are we experiencing now, four-and-a-half-years since the virus emerged in this world? Barely anything. A bunch of old signs that nobody took down and hand sanitizing stations that nobody refills any more. A weirdly bureaucratic vaccination process that makes them uniquely inaccessible. A generation of kids with no real education. Everyone with mental scars that are starting to heal over. Pharma corps are even more profitable now. Basic facts about the world are now regularly turned into political opinions, and people are more likely than ever to trust their propaganda skinner box over their own senses and their own mind. >>82113 Long covid is real but very rare and you do eventually come back. Literally everyone I know has gotten covid at some point, most people multiple times; I know one person who had brain fog for about a month and lost his sense of taste for about 1 year. It's very likely you have already been infected and didn't realize it, no matter how careful you've been. >>82115 The main reason people were researching mRNA vaccines in the first place is because they are so much faster to produce. There are several conventional vaccines on the market, they just took longer to get to the point where they could actually be tested.
Meddler · 2024-06-20 14:16
>>82116 >vaccines in the first place is because they are so much faster to produce. Cheaper is more important. They are dirt cheap to produce compared to conventional vaccines that require incubating cultures so the profit margin is 10x higher. That's precisely why they forced it through by making it the only possible solution - greed. Regular vaccines are already extremely profitable but its not enough. Always gotta go higher. > they just took longer to get to the point where they could actually be tested. rna was only faster cause they ignored procedure with their special permit while delaying it for the competition. The most important part is that they made trillions and in face of such money nothing will matter.
Molly Millions · 2024-06-20 14:36
>>82117 >Cheaper is more important time = money >rna was only faster cause they ignored procedure with their special permit while delaying it for the competition. Johnson&Johnson got Emergency Use Authorization within a month of Pfizer. None of the vaccines were even available to the general public at the time because production hadn't ramped up yet. Not saying these corporations aren't motivated by greed or that it was good they got those permits. Just stating facts.
Lady 3Jane.. · 2024-06-20 14:49
>>82118 >time = money The og was about development time. You dont pass trials faster from cheaper manufacturing. >Johnson&Johnson jonson & astra got to play but There were a bunch of smaller companies that dint get on the market. >>82122 I drink alcohol, so I've already made that decision. Also, I am a little dubious about the idea that the sickness is worse each time you get it. Not been my personal experience at all. In how many cases is it actually observed? Keep in mind lab-confirmed covid-19 is extremely rare now.

>>82123 >lab-confirmed covid-19 is extremely rare now ...Because they stopped testing for it. >Also, I am a little dubious about the idea that the sickness is worse each time you get it. I might have been too confident about that, can't find clear confirmation and some info that contradicts what I said, here's some related sources though: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-risky-are-repeat-covid-infections-what-we-know-so-far/ >“Every time you get infected [with COVID], it does harm to the body in some way,” says Avindra Nath, a neurologist at the National Institutes of Health who has led research on long COVID and other postviral conditions. For example, a pulmonary infection can leave scars in the lungs or trigger blood clots. COVID may also interfere with the immune system itself, he says. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-023-01371-9 >The latest data (go.nature.com/3h6vl67) from the UK Office of National Statistics, however, suggest that the risk of long COVID diminishes with subsequent infections. Adults had a 4% risk of developing long COVID after a first infection, and that declined to 2.4% after reinfection. For children and young people, the long-COVID risk after a first infection was 1% and didn’t decline much.

>>82125 >...Because they stopped testing for it. Yes, that's what I meant. So if you're basing it off of the observation "lab-confirned covid-19 is worse the more often you get it", that's a heavily skewed sample. Seems like a situation where the science truly is out.
Batou · 2024-06-20 17:05
>>82121 >I don't understand what about this makes mRNA so much more nefarious. The mrna injection was the functional part of the disease minus replication code. It caused the same harm because it was a custom virus that produced the exact same protein that caused health issues. Traditional vaccines never give you functional diseases. Traditionally you cultivate a disease and trash it so what you inject is completely harmless to you. They injected knowingly what was already researched as harmful.
Pulse · 2024-06-20 17:38
Nice bread, OP. Though I'm still just sitting here in disbelief that we closed entire nations down over a "scientific model" with worse code quality than what I've seen at game jams and literally the flu since the cases of the common cold during that time somehow went to zero while having been shamed by normoids for not injecting myself with something that as it turned out gave them the clots, vaids and turbo cancer. We just couldn't swipe it under the rug and carry on like we did during Sars 1, could we? The worst effect I had from the kung flu was to realize how most people truly are and I will never recover from that.

I don't know whether that observation was made and I don't know what methodologies were used, though it sounds like neither do you. Again, I've retracted my specific claim because I can't convincingly back it up, though it seems like there is still reason for concern about accumulated long term damage. If you want to look into it more I think there's some studies linked in the articles I linked, if you can get around all the paywalls.

>>82127 >traditional vaccines never give you functional diseases actually they do. You have to be isolated when you take the smallpox vaccine because you actually become contagious for a few days. The main problem with viruses is how they replicate themselves. A little bit of mrna doing a one-shot is nothing at all like actually being infected.

>>82169 in theory there you're taking the bullet to avoid the five inch cannon shot. Most bullet wounds are survivable (most five inch canon shots are at least disabling), some bullet wounds don't really even need much tending to, but no one really should want to get shot. Sometimes it probably works, you suffer a little but avoid the real problem. Sometimes there is no real problem and you suffer for nothing. Sometimes the bullet you took happens to go straight through your heart and there's nothing you can do about it. Of course maybe the canon would have thrown your heart across three hundred yards behind you. Its all about playing risks, but both options are risks. If the vaccine is effective, if the disease is dangerous, then its worth it. In the thick of things it can be hard to tell. And sometimes of course, the bullet is actually not the bullet you signed up for https://edition.cnn.com/2019/09/30/health/16-students-accident-indiana/index.html

>>82109 There's a lot of things that were told to be the truth that turned out to be a lie, and a lot of things that were dismissed as a lie, that turned out to be the truth. There was definitely *something* going around in 2019 and 2020. My working hypothesis was that it was that that years flu strain which was genetically altered with something made in a laboratory. This ended up being what has been generally referred to as the Corona-virus. This is based on the primary fact that the flu was practically non-existent in the season 2019/2020 and 2020/2021. The secondary fact is that those who did properly investigate the virus, noticed there were things added to the strain that do not naturally occur, meaning there was an interference other as nature. Most of these people got silenced or got rid off.. For the genesis of the virus there was another thing noteworthy: the first case was reported somewhere in October 2019 in Wuhan. The timing of it was auspicious, since the "Military Games" of the Chinese army was held in Wuhan .. in October 2019. So this results for me in the conclusion that the virus was engineered, subsequently released, that this was known beforehand and that people in the know anticipated on this. There's many more indicators to this: the COVID-19 test kit already patented in 2015 by the Rothschild dynasty is the most striking one; test-runs being done the year before by vaccine-pusher Gates; financial elite pumping all their money in Biogenetics months prior to the virus. Does this mean the virus is not real? No, there was something. But it wasn't as deadly as they made it out to be. However, with the media and other authorities constantly saying it was, most people believed it was the case. People voluntarily went into solitary isolation for whatever reason, and when a vaccine was ready so that people could get out of this confinement, the people hastily took it. The vaccines were mostly untested for its long-term effects (if we're to believe Big Pharma ((which i don't)), and what's in store for those who took it, is something I can only guess on. The manufacturers of the vaccines did test some of the adverse effects in the trial runs, and Pfizer alone noted close to 1300 (!) adverse effects to the vaccine, ranging from AIDS to ZIKA, and everything in between. This wasn't reported, and instead they said it was 'safe and effective'. That's now being disclosed to the public. There's a whole lot more shenanigans surrounding the vaccines, which I can expand on if people are interested. "Is nobody doing anything?" is often lamented. People are: the DELTA and OMICRON (anagram for MEDIA CONTROL) variants were also engineered in a lab, with the attempt of thwarting many of the adverse effects by COVID-19. If it also tackles those who took the vaccines? Don't know and can't tell. There's a lot more that I can engage, but there's other work to do.

That's what mostly ticked me off: the fact that these followers of the bogus covid-science were pressuring me into taking something that was harmful. And when you gave them the argument of "you believe that if you're vaccinated, you'll be protected from the virus. That includes me. Why would you want to force it on me?" they just shut down and repeated "get the vaccine!". With these people, it was never about feeling safe because of the vaccination; it was about feeling safe because you caved into social pressure, got to be in the bigger group and got support from the authorities. Now who's eating their words? >We just couldn't swipe it under the rug and carry on like we did during Sars 1, could we? >>82400 >That some psychopathic pharmaceutical corporation is shaming me is one thing: that friends, family and strangers started to pressure and shame me was another dimension completely. Not him but I think we all share the same story. My father in particular is a brilliant mind, he is more intelligent than me and I always looked up to him as a reasonable man, yet when an untested medicine cause people to fall, to go in the coma, to have paralysis to need amputation and in some case to die, he say it's safe. That was Orwelian. Yuri Bezmenov was right and I had to face the reality of it. Doublevaxxed people give the virus to doublevaxxed and he don't compute. Gilbraltar, boats with 100% vaxxed people get outbreaks and he insist it work. He was one of the people who do not ask themselves if something is true but only ask if others will be fine with them thinking that it is. And that was not the worse. I can understand and forgive a moment of weakness against social pressure but I know if I had died from the vax my two parents would have hidden the cause of my death to not encourage other to doubt the vaccine. Understand this Anon: they love me more than anything and yet they would have walked over my dead body without a tear for an ideal they had been told to have. That I can not forgive. And still today they insist: normal vaccines aren't perfect either, so it was fine. >The worst effect I had from the kung flu was to realize how most people truly are and I will never recover from tha If there is only one thing Covid must teach us, it is that the vast majority of the people only have a problem with the notion of state police when the voice of authority ask them to have one. Something else is going to happen one day. Another WMD found in Iraq maybe, social peace becoming too expensive in Europe maybe. Those people will fight for the things they have told you to fight against their entire life. They will sincerely enjoy any form of oppression only to please a feeling of moral superiority that have been crafted by propagandist one week earlier. I sometime loose faith in humanity but then I remember how many of us there was. Despite everything we stood.

People around me are heavily affected by coincidences, not long ago 12yo. son of a relative of a friend collapsed out of nowhere and died. Now a 34yo. workmate collapsed out of nowhere and died. Cemeteries are getting overflown with graves of children and young adults with heart coincidence as the death cause. Even cemetery workers talk about this that they never would have imagined they will ever have to bury this many children and young people.

I personally am of the opinion that covid was a test run for some future event. Few people passed the test. I would say that I failed the test, maybe not miserably, most people failed miserably. I never took the vaccine, in fact I risked it all just so that I couldn't be forced into taking it, and there were severe consequences for that. Some people took the vaccine. These people failed miserably, they could only fail even harder if they put other people down for not taking it, and pressured others into taking it. Some people got swabbed for covid. I was one of those people that got the giant lobotomizing stick shoved up their nose. Ironically, I got swabbed by trying to avoid the vaccine. I developed a fever after I was swabbed iirc, and I wonder if it was related to the covid test or mere coincidence, hopefully the latter. Anyway, this is why I believe that I failed the 'test' of covid. Soon after getting swabbed I heard conspiracies about the swab being some kind of mRNA technology or containing a nanomachine that would enter the brain. Those theories never come from an actual source so they're probably bullshit, but seeing them made me realize what I had risked by getting swabbed like that, it was reckless. It's shameful that people want to forget about covid, although it doesn't surprise me. Obviously the whole ordeal was traumatic for a lot of people. But the response that was generated to covid was absolutely not organic whatsoever as other lainons have already mentioned, and clearly indicated that the situation was prefabricated. It would behoove people to re-examine the manifestations of the covid timeline and try to think rationally about them, "Was this necessary?", the answer would almost always be no. People's continuing denial sickens me in ways. They justify their actions to me, things they did to me, and the actions of others, and of institutions and governments saying that "It was a crazy time, nobody knew what was going on." That is precisely the problem. This is the quintessential lesson of covid, in times like covid, in the midst of sudden disasters, it is _imperative_ that people stay level-headed, and methodically and rationally analyze the situation they are in, and the responses they are going to make to it, because when they don't, tyranny takes root. Do people think that tyrannical governments come out of nowhere? That they do not come out of crises? People do not understand that a tyrannical government cannot simply form out of nothingness, and that its formation has to be justified by crisis, by hardship. I think I know why people 'do not understand' this, I think they understand, but cannot accept. To acknowledge that, one must soon thereafter think of how they would respond to crises, or how they have responded, how they believe the government should respond, and contrast this against their supposed long-standing values that do not suddenly morph to fit a narrative. Inevitably, the fact that deep down inside, they believe in far less than they think they do, will be revealed to them. They can't let that happen. Most people like to think they believe in the freedoms they possess, but when the preservation of their freedoms matters most, they relinquish their belief in them, and ostracize anyone who tries to preserve them. During covid, I saw people do things that they swore to me they would never do. Well, when it mattered most, when the time to preserve one's own morality came, what happened? Speaking historically of what has been done by governments in recent decades in response to sudden crises, their responses have never been rational, they've been swift, with caution thrown to the wind, with the voices of reason spat upon and portrayed as "traitors", and there have been disastrous consequences as a result of it. Take 9/11 as an example. A sudden terrorist attack (that was actually predictable and preventable) occurs, and all of a sudden the US Government is operating off of hearsay, of Saddam Hussein funding Osama bin Laden. Operating off of this hearsay, the US Government chooses to invade the entire country of Iraq. With a further justification that they have weapons of mass destruction, which turns out to be a complete fabrication. The country's critical infrastructure is razed to the ground as part of a widespread, ruthless bombing campaign, countless civilians die. Then they put soldiers on the ground, the government collapses, the leader is executed, there's total anarchy, insurgencies pop up (this was also predictable and many warned of this), and now an even longer war is needed to put them down, and by the end of it all millions of civilians and thousands of Americans are dead, and for nothing but the profit of the elites. Simultaneously were the reports of bin Laden being in Afghanistan. So what do they do? Invade the whole country, of course, and the same situation is repeated. And of course the Patriot Act is instated, the War on Terror begins, hundreds of people who are probably innocent get locked forever up as terrorists, its consequences are alive and well to this day. At the end of situations like this, the average person isn't better off, the best they can say is that they've been unaffected, while the people in power have made billions off of the bloodshed. The same can be said in the wake of covid. There is this habitual response by the government and major institutions like banks, the media, corporations, universities, to take the most drastic actions possible in response to major crises like these, and establish gratuitous, persistent changes to society, that do nothing to benefit the average person, and people just let them get away with it every time. I don't think people will ever learn, this is a problem that is everpresent throughout history. My life is still fuarrrked up as a result of covid, and a lot happened that I will never forget, I can't forget, my willingness to predict the actions of some people whom-were-once-close-to-me made ended up saving my life at one point. I can never forget that. My closest relationships were destroyed by how people responded to me, and most of my relationships simply withered away into nothingness as a result of the years of lockdown separating me from my peers. My financial situation dove for the ground like a dead bird, and I'm still paying the price for that to this day. My whole life's trajectory was completely thrown askew, and I am still trying to get back on target, I have a lot of work to do.

>>82107 I have a better idea, why don't we just not talk about anything related to this event on comfy imageboards instead of going in circles forever like mo-rons?

>>82565 Name a more cyberpunk event than this.

>>82571 Panic over a disease isn't /cyb/, it's literally one of the most ancient types of events.

>>82572 the discussion transcends the pathogen itself and has revolved more around the unnatural response to it which i'm sure you're aware of. why do you think people should not discuss a disease that spread across the globe, supposedly killed _millions_, and temporarily resulted in worldwide authoritarianism, while world leaders that did not abide by lockdown orders died mysteriously?

>>82572 labmade isnt ancient event, its cyb af

>>82495 Was the black plague fabricated too? Do plagues even exist in your mind? What's an example of a real pandemic, according to you? Was swine flu a trial run too?
Mitnick · 2024-07-05 13:03
>>82579 Again, not unusual. Faked plagues and authoritarian responses to plagues are ancient, as is the idea of biological weapons.
Motoko Kusanagi · 2024-07-05 15:58
>>82582 pretty sure the person you're arguing with is saying its cyb because it is in a lot of cyberpunk media, biological horror as an art form basically has its roots in the early 20th century and was drawn upon increasingly by science fiction at the time.
