So, with the dawn of Zizek into his reactionary dementia, closing up of Vausch, liberalism of Destiny, loss of faith in the left of Hasan, popular absence of badiou and retirement of Chomsky, i was looking into people who could potentially take place for the "new leftist intellectual" TM what are your opinions on the aforementioned figures? Other ones? Do you think Ana Kasparian is legit? I see her pandering to JP's apprentices with "privileged belief" being that of leftists (who are, according to her, non-consequentialist and polarized). Imo feels weird because most rich people are still right-wing I think what happened is that she is beautiful and rich and the left hated her for that, so now she's harnessing the fruit of the actually marginalized hate Obviously, we all want to better society, but just understand that betterment in different ways But yeah those bourgeois rebels who say "defend the police" and make their whole identity about being marginalized are hilarious i get that Also, as a leftist, she is completely correct on the left being very polarized But i completely understand the radical attitude after living with workers for whom inequality was everyday hell, the ressentiment just might not be correctly sublimated What do you think? Also, thoughts on modern liberalism in the metrics of privilege? I only ever meet privileged liberals now, theoretical classical liberalism seems to have been completely turned on its head. Or are they mostly just genuine genetic autists? Can classical liberalism still be treated as fully naive considering the benefits that it gave us? Given the irresponsibility of unbound growth

miles w mathis I know he's getting older, maybe his best days are behind him, but he's pretty healthy and still sharp. only risk is that he just burns out on the whole thing, I think he's already showing some signs of doing so.

The future of the left is disturbing. Negri is gone, Chomsky won't be around long, neither will Zizek. Who are the future leaders of the left? He's level headed, not a maniac, and a good spokesman for his cause, but I don't see him getting too much attention. Who knows? As for Ana, she's a political commentator. She's not a reporter or an intellectual of any real note. She's just reading the news and giving your her opinion. One of the reasons the culture wars and online life is so bad is because people rely on pundits and commentators to digest the information for them and we're only ever receiving third hand info that's always presented in a heavily biased way or designed to push a partisan narrative. >Also, thoughts on modern liberalism in the metrics of privilege? Liberals created their own definitions of "hate speech" or whatever and use it to bludgeon people who disagree with them or wield paternalistic powers over the lower classes or control their employees.
