I have paranoid personality disorder. I belive that most things in media are lies. I believe that I am under constant video and audio surveillance, that my life patterns and biometric data are stored by the deep state and its corporate contractors. I believe that at least half the people I know, including relatives are employed by the deep state as spies and propagandists to further a global authoritarian/depopulation agenda by a small group of evil billionaires who all meet to talk about it in Switzerland. I'm fuarrrking nuts.

At the age of 15, I lost the ability to feel 95% of emotions or pleasure, and they only temporarily come back to a small degree after huge amounts of cardio + stimulants like sugar and caffeine. My memory is also ruined, my sleep quality is terrible, I have chronic stomach issues and think slower than I used to. A mysterious chronic stress on my body appears to be aging me prematurely. My mom's side of the family is normal, but my dad's side is a cocktail of "holy soykaf these are the craziest genes on the planet". They live in Las Vegas, and each member of that family is either a gambling addict, a drug addict, a crossdresser, or a sociopath, or bipolar. My dad is diagnosed type 2 bipolar and he's addicted to opioids, currently lives on the street and has delusions. In most ways, I lost the genetic lottery -- I will probably live a brief, unhealthy, unhappy life. But on occasion I sense a huge potential deep within, to do things that lie beyond the reach of virtually everyone else. Which is weird because I'm a walking genetic accident with 0 achievements, but the feeling is still there. I'm hoping to get on disability and explore this feeling, because it's kinda all I have left.

Diagnosed aspie.
I really don't know how to feel about it.
Being social doesn't actually feel like a "skilll" and it feels very much like a deterministic chaos where you have no real control over who you will or won't feel comfortable around.

They diagnosed me with the tism as a kid, but I'm pretty sure that either I don't have it, or I do and it's just the least of my problems.
Most of my issues stem less from this and more from how I was treated because of the diagnosis. Before, I was just seen as a kid who was bright if not weird (being sheltered, fatherless, and dealing with an abusive sitter didn't help that). Afterwards I was suddenly subhuman. Mom thought I was hopeless. That sitter and her son saw this as an excuse to be even bigger pieces of soykaf toward me. Even the other kids stopped talking to me once the school got involved and started giving me accommodations I didn't need. Now instead of being weird yet interesting, I was shunned as one of the retards.
From there my self-esteem disappeared, my grades started plummeting, and things just got worse with each year. I missed all the social milestones from childhood and young adulthood, stuff that even genuine autists got to have. I'm lucky I even have a degree and live on my own.
I bet my real problem is PTSD or something from all this. Not sure if it's worth seeing a shrink over, seeing as I'm a week from being 32 and what few things I want out of life (close friends, better job, a relationship) are far out of reach now.

I don't trust shrinks, so I've never gone to get a proper diagnosis. However, I suspect that I've got some kind of disorder, maybe multiple. I know that I'm depressed, a misanthrope, full of self-loathing and suicidal ideation, easily angered over the slightest of things (sometimes to the point of violence), highly suspicious of both my surroundings and other people, sometimes given to bouts of extreme sadness and despair, constantly fidgeting and fretting, holding entire conversations with myself (that sometimes devolve into arguments) and given to the odd visual and/or auditory hallucination.

People in group chats used to call me a schizoid because sometimes when they'd mention my name or insult me jokingly I would feverishly whip up a wall of text to hurl at them within a few minutes of receiving their message, usually designed to jokingly insult them in some way, but eventually I thought it'd be funnier to just write random nonsense at length, and post that in response. I decided to look into schizoid personality disorder, I checked the symptoms and general signs, behaviors, age of manifestation, etc, across numerous credible websites alongside shi.ttier sources of information like Wikipedia, and I have every single indication of schizoid personality disorder everywhere I've seen online.
Additionally, I have been experiencing a growing disdain for people. A couple months ago I eliminated my desire/"need" for companionship, and broke contact with all of my acquaintances both online and in real life. I also really am starting to hate the internet as well, the only purpose I see in using it is to research random subjects I think of, look up words I don't know, or topics mentioned in books I'm unfamiliar with. I just returned to the internet after a couple weeks of being in solitude reading books all day, and I think I'll probably go back to doing that soon because there's absolutely nothing redeeming about the internet to me. Even in solitude I'm not happy. I don't think I'll ever kill myself though.

kek, I always pick up on these quasi-religious language patterns. And I imagine a guy in a dress short and tie, body posture rigid, putting his hands on his hips. "From credible sources!" He states firmly, making sure to emphasize the hypersocialized conception of an amorphous and opaque entity's reputation and relative positioning to others within his little monkey tree.
Not to make fun of you, but really now. Credible? Schizoid personality disorder is based on the DSM, which itself is not a credible document.... so.... Now you could refer to the ICD and it's a bit better, but not by much. Most people who work in psychology are braindead overgrown children riding on thewaves created by a few giants in their field. They are mass produced golem who have no conception of the conditions they intend to diagnose and treat, and zero insight into the underlying machinery, macrostates, and genesis of these states.

The utter insolence of a layperson who is not in touch with Psychological research as a field (people like you) is so over-saturated. Everyone has an opinion on the field while having the credentials of a snake oil salesman. From the white girl on instagram about positivity and coaching, to the Andrew Tates of the "self-improvement" market to the average anon in an image-board on a tangeon of copy pasted LSD behavioral effects papers around the net.
let us deconstruct your brainrott.
>Schizoid personality disorder is based on the DSM, which itself is not a credible document.... so.... Now you could refer to the ICD and it's a bit better, but not by much.
Ok. Why isn't it credible ? I agree the ICD is better (it would be really fun if you actual gave me the reason why), but why isn't scizoid personality disorder accepted? What are your evidence that the specific DSM-V diagnosis has not went through the same procedures of control and testing that most mainstream research goes through when testing the construct of said personality disorder ? Do you just parrot some silly medium article?
>Most people who work in psychology are braindead overgrown children riding on the waves created by a few giants in their field.
Lol , this is simply hilarious. First of all Psychology is not limited to a single field. There are a plethora of sub-disciplines and their research-only counterparts. You're telling me a person trained to critically examine series of statistics, experimentation designs, standardize and create measurements, and is under complete continuous scrutiny in all of their career about the work they produce is no better than you ? Basement dwelling, off his meds, google-search-extraordinaire anon. Which giants are you reffering to ? Most of them are discredited by implementing certain statistical models, ethics, an an actual step-by-step scientific approach of examining each construct at a time to check its validity and then its relation to the rest of the model/theory/hypothesis. Cause pure research isn't flashy wall of text-theory while high, it is a sober, painfully slow, critical examination of earlier literature, social setting, enviroment, how the construct in itself has evolved etc. and then the actual numbers work to produce the validity of it or not. So yeah previous research is very important to continue building upon and that methodology is not restricted to just Psychology.
>They are mass produced golem who have no conception of the conditions they intend to diagnose and treat, and zero insight into the underlying machinery, macrostates, and genesis of these states.
There are a lot of soykafty therapists out there, doctors, clinical psychologists, lawyers, electricians , programmers. What does that mean ? You're talking about zero insight to how these affects where produced or their origination when in fact there's a huge divide still on how internal psychological mechanisms, brain physiology, behavior , perception, intelligence all of those interact. There are many theories others more valid than some, there many lenses in which you can approach the subject and that's why we need professionals to conduct research. What we do know for certain is that psychological states, affects, sensory perception even is so heavily fluid that important and standardized findings may turn obsolete in each decade, that brain physiology cannot explain very abstract-consciousness based phenomena (yet) but simpy suggest offset of conditions and cleary define "interface" like functions that are very basic when we interact with the world. Can we find origins and insights that work as an over-arching model of everything brain related? Sure if we poke in our asses deep enough. But you're gonna pull out soykaf. Bro read a paper on Macrostates and thinks he has a PhD now.
There are MANY issues with modern Psychology, we're better than we used to be but we have a swarm of bad publication and bias, there are many issues with diagnosis that i myself have and we should totally check out new ways to conduct diagnosis, and we currently do. But this is not the same of discrediting the career and effort of a lot of workers and researchers. Cause discrediting them will make anyone credible to speak, such as you, when it shows that you are not.

Save it buddy. You failed to hook me, your problem.
>There are MANY issues with modern Psychology, we're better
Modern psychology doesn't have problems, it IS the problem. You have every type of myopic tunnel vision braindead moron projecting themselves onto data because science is the meme right now and they can't accept that the top down nature of their endeavor renders it an abstracted narrative field. Then they want to try to bridge it with underlying functional, structural, genetic, and neurochemical or electrophysiological correlates, and they come up with all manner of retardation on top of the infantile soykaf they already produced.
Psychology either needs to be dismantled and rebuilt as a sort of "syncretism", or as an inherently interdisciplinary field,, or it needs to be done away with. Most of the fundamental work and insights were completed decades ago, with modern researchers (retards and academicians, with the occasional cliinician who has some insight). They come up with categories and boxes, then they get stuck in it, then they weaponize it. Really straightforward. For example is it NPD? Is it BPD? Is it cPTSD? Is it schizotypal personality disorder? Or is it all structural dissociation? Okay so it's muh BPD, so that means we do muh fuggin DBT. Then they try to systematize it (and fail, because they fail at everything they do, because they're retarded and the manner of retardation stems from something systemic). Then you get the other modalities. Some stupid ape notices that when you stim and bounce your eyes around, it strips emotional context and selectively suppresses memory recall before it reaches the conscious mind (but they're too retarded to explain it that way), and then they take this ancient phenomena and name it "EMDR". Then the reatrds fight over "EMDR". Then this one makes another modality, it calls it "Gestalt therapy". And then the retards compile critiques and again, they try to systematize.
It's braindead. The average person is stupid, oversocialized and adapted to a sick society, and has no business tampering around in another person's inner world. The most basic observation to be made for schizoid PD is its relation to NPD and schizotypal. Why? Probably because the empty schizoid core constitutes shared underlying machinery between them, just constellated differently, in different macrostates. That's why stimuli patterns can be contrived to wear them down and force different clusters of trait manifestation. eg collapsing a narcissist into something resembling BPD (or inverted) behavior, or it taking on schizotypal traits until it can stablize. There a reason for this. Ah! Ah! But it's controversial. It's very controversial.
There's nothing I've ever read in the primary or secondary sources that wasn't littered with all kinds of stupid little things. And it certainly never translated into anything useful in the DSM. Two people can have zero trait overlap, yet still fit the criteria for a given personality disorder. A lot of entires are just retarded and clearly political. Failure to bridge things like malnutrition, environmental toxicity, vaccine damage, etc. They're just running cover, because they're weak. People who go into psychology are weak, broken, scared of standing out, submissive, and dependent "wounded healer" types. They're neotenous useful idiots and their work shows it.

I gave the same treatment you gave my response, skipped over stuff, one of them was Ancient Phenomena , I am so glad i didn't read it cause i'd catch brain aids if i did read it. ohhhh you didn't read "for real" this time, how far is your head up your ass anon ? go outside on a walk and talk to someone, or is this a bigger intellectual feat than doing exactly what your "inferior, neotenous and oversocialized" opponents do ? You accuse of systematizing yet you used a system to reach on your own conclusion, you reject data conviniently enough with some bullshit pseudo-philosophical critique based on a couple of theoretical pointers. you know what macro states are ? wow buddy you solved psychology, here a nobel prize . Then you simply lie about what trait overlap really is and that it is zero, there is a plethora of studies showing symptom / trait overlap when it comes to PDs even if you combine it with other non-related tools as the infamous big five (i hate it) you still get some results or even discover cases of comorbidity, so in the imaginative word that bio, data, stats and experimentation is irrelevant you might have had a say. Because now there are even genome related traits between the PDs. Not only personality wise-traits. Now you're simply a bafoon with an ego issue trying to call everyone dumb cause he cannot go outside and socialize.

You're jumbling things together and then trying to hang the whole thing on a few nodes you plucked out.
Refer to my image. That's NPD (the most meme'd right now) as of the DSM V. There are 9 traits. For a diagnosis, a person must have at least 5. That means you can can two different people with "NPD" which of 9 traits, only overlap in 1. To my recollection in the DSM IV there were more traits and it was possible to overlap in zero, or a person only needed to have 4 traits, I don't recall. It's simply ridiculous, to reify this vaguery into a clinical entity, and go about "diagnosing" with such a crude instrument.
> Because now there are even genome related traits between the PDs.
Great. Now that they have this in their little heads they can fight over genetic determinism and nature vs nurture for the next 30 years. All because they want to be a science and they want to bridge the low level bottom up approach, with the top down approach. Cute. They are so desperate for this, need this, this substantiation, this validation, this "hard science" reification. Need. Need need need. Like little kids. Can't just do their own thing. Need to imitate, want a place at the perceived big boy table. It's pathetic and so transparent.

The article you cited was interesting, surely doesn't back up anything you just said though , also clinical diagnosis isn't just a checklist idk why people keep thinking that, the author in your screenshot even also says how important it is to investigate enviromental factors in the context of development, since most PDs are there for life. What is this obssession of NPD , with this amount of glorious self jerking about how you're smarter than the normal people and that a whole discipline is bellow you seems as if you have personal beef with this diagnosis.
On another note like i said there are many obvious issues with current trends in diagnosis. That doesn't prove all the other soykaf you're spilling

While I agree wth you overall about the concept of mental illness, I think something like major depression (can be extreme emotion or no emotion, caused by anything or nothing, for a period ranging from two weeks to forever - it's a garrbage grab bag) may have been a better example.
While these are divided into individual traits, these are interconnected - a person who lacks empathy is likely to be exploitative, an entitled, a person who believes they are special almost by definition is self-important, etc. There could be people who only overlap on one trait, but that's relatively unlikely.
Drawing arbitrary lines as to what is and isn't diseased (or *this* disease versus *that* disease) and treating people based on label instead of behavior and history is stupid (I HATE when I hear someone claim they have "depression and anxiety and PTSD and ADHD and..." What you are is fuarrrked up, likely stemming from the same source or two, which is what actually needs addressing), but let's not through out the entire concept of a personality type.

It is very hard to live when you are not only unable to understand other people, but also to be understood. There is nothing you want to take from this life, and there is nothing other people want to take from you.
Still, you only live once. Even if it's something you don't get all excited about at first glance, it is wise to choose one among the thousands of gifts that life has to offer. Giving in to pointless self destruction is probably the worst choice.

Maybe just try to avoid the discussions that trigger your pain? I hope you feel better soon.

Thought I have ADHD, went to psychiatrist, he said I should do MMPI test and got a referral to psychologist (pretty good) it came out it's just my short attention span and besides that I have textbook case of aspergers. It explained all misunderstanding I had with peers in school and why I got no friends.

I bet if you studied for the test a little you could get an ADHD diagnosis easy peasy.

I don't really see why you need to know about my "mental illnesses", I don't even think those labels actually hold any weight on their own. They all overlap so often that it doesn't actually make any sense to label yourself with them. Half of the time you see people on the internet talk about their list of disorders it is because they feel the need to make it a part of their identity or some other soykaf. It's heavily romanticized by people who seem to be obsessed with the "aesthetic" of mental illness, with a shallow understanding of the detriment it actually causes for the people who deal with the collection of symptoms that make up the label they were given. Judging by the OP picture and typing style I imagine they are one of these younger people that do this.

Agree with some of this. It's not an aesthetic and people should definitively not romanticize disorders/illnesses. There is nothing beautiful about breaking down at 3 am and realizing you've had your life derailed by how your brain works and how people around you responded to how your brain works. Not fun. Labels do help to some extent, as long as the person doesn't make it their whole identity. We are more than ASD/ADHD/[XYZ]. We should address problems and talk about them in a way that helps people by keeping them informed and showing them ways to cope better. ;]

I was officially diagnosed with ADHD and Autism over a decade ago. I've learned how to manage and live with it, but I can't be open about either, especially my Autism, to anyone. I'm often exposed to people who constantly make statements that demean and/or infantilize Autistic people, because apparently it must be hard for Autistic people to do mundane things everyone else can. No it isn't, stop treating Autistic people like children for noticing if someone was being sarcastic. I'm forced to always be masking in public because of my fear of being infantilized.
Perhaps, this is Hell.

You are not healed until learning how to properly shame back those normal people.
