Empty platitudes have a horrible effect on society. I can't stress enough how this world has gotten soft from all the pats on the back, especially like OP where people trick you into giving them more money by these half assed "good job"s.
Honestly I wish companies were by law forced to not employ dark UX patterns.

the most heinous thing about all this is you getting taco bell. that soykaf hasn't been good for at least 5 years. neither has any other fast food chain, really, but taco bell in particular really took a dive.
