How to get money?

Junichi Fujiwara · 2024-01-11 12:15
In this thread i would like to discuss ways to make money. Situation: Applying for jobs for months now, nobody wants to hire me, i have a degree in engineering and several proofs of courses i did. (useful ones for the industry) I applied to all kinds of companies, from 3 people tiny companies to international megacorps. I tried half a dozen types of CV templates, two of them were successfully used by people i know, who work at good companies for good money. My English is not perfect but i can communicate with foreigners and perfectly understand them and make myself understood in English (i'm not a native speaker of it). Besides my major field, i know a lot about electronics, i'm programming for 10 years now on a hobby level and use linux on a semi-power-user level, also 10 years of experience in that, not only home environment but i also have some experience with servers and embedded environment. I make one or two non-autistic people check my communications including the CV, to detect and eliminate autism giveaways. The result: NOT A fuarrrkING SOUL even gives me a chance for an interview. I have no physical properties to sell, all the people i ask if they know any job for me say no. So the question is: How to make money (starting from scratch). At this point i don't give a fuarrrk if it's legal or not, just make the probability of getting caught fairly low. My ideas so far: Rob a motherfucker. Break into the house of a motherfucker and steal soykaf. Steal the fuarrrking copper wires from the electric poles. Steal the fuarrrking lamps from the lamp poles. Break into cars and steal soykaf from the glove compartment. Break into a pharmacy, steal downers, painkillers and roids, and sell them. As you can see, these are not exactly genius ideas. Policemen saw 9001 cases like these and know how to catch me. They look for tiny details average people look over and catch me. Plus the city is STUFFED with surveillance cameras, some of them already included in the AI crime-detection and person-recognizing system (it isn't public which one of them are). Please share your ideas of making some money in a big city, so i can get started with some business. Please remember: from scratch. I don't have 100 bucks to invest.

Safe for you're drug dealing ambitions don't : drug dealing is nigger tier, none of the things you've suggested as solutions of acquiring money take into account one important thing: how do you liquidize the acquired stuff?

>>76913 They were meant to show how short i am on actual ideas. They are stupid ideas, that's the point. I hope somebody has some ideas that doesn't involve doing lowlife junkie-tier soykaf.

What country are you in? How much money do you need? How much money do you want? How quickly do you need it? >engineering degree If the job prospects are really so poor, apply to grad school and use grants/graduate assistantship/student loans (if USA) to live for another 1-7 years (1 or 2 years for a masters degree, then another 3-5 for a phd). Apply for more engineering jobs during that time. You'll find something by then, especially if you complete grad school

>>76915 >What country are you in? One of the Eastern Europe ones. >How much money do you need? About 1000 USD worth of money would fix my situation >How much money do you want? The maximum possible without it collapsing into a black-hole. Jk, actually i want about 1000 USD worth of money. >How quickly do you need it? Very quickly, like in a week or two maximum. >use grants/graduate assistantship/student loans [...] to live I chuckled at this. I'm jealous of you first worlders. The maximum amount of student loan here is about just enough for the tuition, and even if wouldn't have to pay tuition, the maximum student loan sent in a semester would be enough to live for two months maximum. Anyway thanks for your help, this was an idea worth to think through.

>>76916 Freelance for westerners. That could be signing up yourself as a freelancer or joining an agency which will connect you for a cut. I dont know how it is for engineers but its common in IT&Art, for engineers its probably gonna be remote CAD monkey jobs. At least its the only thing i briefly saw mentioned.

>>76917 I've talked about freelancing with people who freelance, and they all said, the correct tactics is: start working for pennies (almost literally, well below Indian wages), and build up reputation, and when you have a few dozen perfectly finished jobs, then you start asking for real money. Your advice is something i'm thinking about for years now, and plan to do, but unfortunately the time window is too tight for this now. On the other hand, the agency thing sounds more viable. Do you know any good, trustful agencies that i could join?
John Titor · 2024-01-12 16:00
>>76918 As said i have no clue about your field and the other aspect is agencies should exist local in your country. Would just ask your freelancer friends. Good chance they already considered agencies before. Reason agencies tend to be local is that they take on the role of going into an employment contract with you which requires knowledge of local law.

>>76906 Illegalism is a valid way to get out of poverty but it comes with risk and the more crime you commit the more likely you'll get caught. Stealing scrap metal is probably the least risky thing mentioned here as you could target rural or out of the way infrastructure at night with low risk. Two things to consider if you go this route, make sure you understand how to not get shocked by the wires so you don't fry yourself. Make sure to sell the metal at some scrapyard outside of your community, at least over 50 miles away ideally over 100. The less likely people will recognize you and the more likely you can pass the metal off as normal scrap the better. If wire starts vanishing in your town your local scrap yards will know about it and turn you in probably.

>>76906 literally go work at a minimum wage retail store job 0. look up retail jobs in area (walmart, aldi, grocery stores, warehouse work) 1. apply for and get the job easy 2. work for money not great but it pays fine, will easily make you ~1k/2wks if you live someplace with decent minimum wage also if you work warehouse you will get FIT which is good for your soul

I've been making my wages on rideshare apps the past few months. If you know what times of day and places in your area are busy, you can make a decent living off of just 30 hours a week. It's not exactly glamorous, and it entails some human contact plus the ability to drive and navigate decently, but otherwise, you don't need credentials, education, or training of any kind. I just do my driving on weekday mornings (yes I wake up early, soykaf is like kicking dead whales down the beach but money is good), and spend the rest of my days living like a neet.
