What is the meaning of yellow eyes? And white haired mirror or orb carrying children.
Nobody important · 2023-12-15 10:03
pretext: i didnt watch these shows but i do know history and symbolism
inu = dog, yasha=demon
animal people get animal eyes, yellow eyes dont exist with people so they get used for nonhuman people
egg(orb) can be the symbol of a ruler. Mirror perhaps a reference to one of japans magic artifacts which is a mirror.

Also haven't watched those but I feel like both yellow eyes and white hair are used to imply inhumanity be it from being above, beneath or sideways from the human race

i think it always helps to think that most things are archetypes engrained in our unconscious and artists are no different. so not everything was made on purpose and it's even more beautiful to think that, because things like these are seen not only in modern media but also in ancient works so it's like it's all connected.
anyway, some "source: made it up" ramblings:
what >>76390 said is on point because in texhnolyze, she is a seer and she is associated with cats, she is a spirit and not really human
white hair, all my favorite stuff has it. griffith from berserk, gwyndolin from dark souls, the man and the girl from angel's egg, they are all associated with angels and gods. i would say most of all with transhumanist themes. but i can't help to feel like i have only seen this in eastern media.
the orb carrying children is probably associated with the child in us (ultimate state of ascension which is also the original one, third and last state of being for nieztsche and others...) carrying the (supposed) truth. also in angel's egg, though there is a subversion there and you could say they are the same soul splitted in two or that she is the Anima and he is the Animus

My immediate thought went to this I've been reading in a book about the meaning of our perception of energy colours.
>Each frequency or vibrational density is associated by the Taoists with specific kinds of subtle energy: the earth’s water and plant energy emits a blue-green color, spinal/bone marrow energy is white. Higher Self (Cosmic Force) energy is golden, and Universal energy is violet as it is stepped down through the polestar. The generative force of the earth (reflected in the seven stars of the Big Dipper) is red, and sexual energy in humans is pink, the mixing of blood and semen. Black is the color of the unborn Tao, the absolute void of the Wu Chi from which all spirit emanates. It is important to note that some people are not at all visually oriented and may never see any colors with their inner eye. They are more apt to “feel” the quality of these different frequencies, with the same end effect.
Gold, the closest thing to yellow, is associated with the 'heavens'. Are the characters with golden eyes perhaps in some way divine?

It's somewhat the same as you've perceived!~

There usually is more meaning placed on character hair colour than eye colour. But in Japanese colour theory white represents purity(i assume this may be related to the harvesting of salt which is used in some shinto ceremonies), yellow is a sacred colour representing the element of Earth and sunlight while gold represents royalty and the heavens. Mirrors represent truth, wisdom, and beauty.

Isn't white in Japan most commonly associated with death? So by proxy it comes to signify otherworldliness and spirituality.

I'm not big into Taoism or "vibrations" or enyadat, but your post reminded me of something I learned in sophomore year. According to Albert Einstein and Louis de Broglie, particles and waves are one and the same, and this equivalency is described by the photoelectric effect and Schrodinger's equation. Each EM wave has a corresponding particle (the photon), and likewise, each particle has a corresponding wave (the quantum mechanical matter wave). Matter waves are sinusoidal and the solution to Schrodinger's equation represents a harmonic oscillator of some sort - i.e. something that vibrates. You can't actually measure matter waves in real life since Schrodinger's equation only _works_ because it features negative square roots, but you can mathematically analyse them and extract information about a given particle and its corresponding matter wave.
The reason I brought up matter waves is because some particles emit matter waves that happen to fall within the visible light spectrum. We know that E = mc^2, and E = hf, and also λ = h/mv, so using this info, we can determine exactly what colour a particle or a substance will be.
If a particle has a small amount of energy, its corresponding matter wave will have a low frequency. If a particle has an large amount of energy, its matter wave will have a very high frequency. Oddly enough, this sounds like the Taoist/Buddhist that people with lots of "spiritual energy", or "vigour", or "vril", operate on a "higher frequency". I genuinely don't know whether this belief was developed independently or if it's just a corrupted misinterpretation of actual physics, but it's neat as hell that both scientists and religious monks believe in the concept of "energy = vibrations".

The book the image is from is book that teaches the foundational practices to learn to cultivate Chi, which is name given to the lifeforce in Taoism. The information is mostly given to give some knowledge on what this certain branch of Taoism believes, with this one specifically being about frequencies and vibrational densities being associated with an object/concept and colour.
I myself try to remain a healthy skeptic mind when learning things and try not to base my entire worldview on the teachings of one book. Having said that, I must admit that there's lot of wisdom in this one particular book, which verifies knowledge that I've been able to learn from other books and my experiences in life. What I find most illuminating is that all those different views on the metaphysical reality in the end all boil down to same principals, in this case that everything has its own vibrational frequency. insert dildo joke here
Indeed it is wonderful that modern physics is discovering and verifying what monks and ascetics have acknowledged as the truth for millennia: that everything in the Universe is operating on a vibrational frequency; that nothing rests; everything moves. It reminds me of that one quote from Werner Heisenberg
>The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you
Anyway, the reason I shared it, is because Taoism has had a lot of influence on Eastern Religions, and just felt compelled to share what I've stumbled upon. Still wondering if those characters with golden eyes are in some way divine!

So apparently that deep and insightful quote was never said by Werner Heisenberg: it's fake and made up!
>vibrational frequency level: still half-full

in anime and manga, unusual eyes imply that there is something supernatural about the character.

Yes white has a death association but im not sure which came first the association with death or something to do with salt. Im thinking salt because it preserves meat aka dead animals.

is taoism reletable
been seeing it all around for quite a while but still am filled with a lot of skepticism about it, mainly because of how this word is abused by certain subhumans like the author of the tao sex or whatever that utterly disappointing book is called. is it worth it or is it another religion for masses

Taoism is literally Vibing: The philosophy. If you approach spirituality intuitively it's worth looking into, if you need a more structured path probably not.

oh, if you are answering me anyway, could you please be the lain who'd finally explain me what spirituality is. the first line on wikipedia says
>The meaning of spirituality has developed and expanded over time, and various meanings can be found alongside each other.
and it already just turns my brain off. i've read the lines again and again for several times now and still struggle to understand any of it. am i just mentally deficit or why is it so obvious for others while for me it's just a blank word with (so far) no meaning?

Taoist sex practices are an actual thing. Anyway taoism is more about just being in tune with a sort of natural way of being so it has some similarities to buddhism but more loose.
>>76605
Supernatural beliefs and practices not necessarily involving religion.

It comes off empty because it is, it's an extremely loose catch-all term. I personally like "investigation outside of that which can be done by science, by practices that create unusual modes of thought/ psychological states" but you do you man.

sorry if i am being mean or not understanding but do you mean taking lsd and enjoying fractals carry you away into ghostly realms?
Dozer · 2023-12-25 07:26

This is my personal definition, it may not work for you (although I do like LSD and fractals).
Practices vary, if we're just talking about the thing humans have done. Tends to be things like meditation, fasting, faith, self-flagellation, and self-discipline on one end and things like drugs, sex, dancing etc on the other.
I don't think you're understanding, on a pretty fundamental level, though. Is there something specific you're looking for?

>"Tao Sex book"
What did you expect of the it? The practices are real, but not to be practiced without the practitioner having a solid physical and psychic base.
>is Taoism worth it?
That's not for me to answer but for you to find out. Ask yourself what you are looking for: is it religion? Faith? And what are you looking for in either of those?
