eating is a fundamental aspect of the human condition. and i cant post on psy for some reason so i'll ask over here. what do i eat to make myself less depressed, more focused, less anxious. my diet is terrible and im noticing it's affecting my brain so any vitamins or minerals to get the neurotransmitters firing would be v appreciated.(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)

My baseline has always been a stack of vitamins B and C, magnesium, and zinc. The brands I've seen widely reccomended and had the best experience with are NOW foods and solgar. Check /drug/ for a nootropics thread for more. Diet wise if you can't make a big change all at once keep a list and cut out something once a week starting with seed oils and fast food (at least down to once a day at first)

> eating is a fundamental aspect of the human condition I HATE feeling hungry. Can't think, can't do anything when I'm hungry. Why did Zeus make me this way?

generally one needs lots of fats and various proteins to be healthy. It is much easier to get these nutrients from meat than any other source, especially when the meat is mixed with herbs and vegetables to give you fiber and various micronutrients. Additionally, food with water in it is better for you than dry food + water. Lately my household has been making lots of stews, soups, etc. it's very cheap and the meals are hearty. If you're really poor bulk it with rice or potatoes, starches are not exactly healthy but they give lots of energy and are very filling.

meat, eggs, and milk, are good staples. Anything else is just to make it go down easier. That being said diet is weird and people seem to sometimes find peculiar niches where they personally do well. Don't cook your meat too much or you'll loose some vitamins.

I hate eating. I only have one meal every other day. I'm tired and exhausted all the time and weak but since I'm a NEET it doesn't really matter. I just conserve energy by doing nothing. I'm fuarrrking up my body but I just avoid eating as much as possible. >>76037 He's Zeus. He made this way so he could torment you. If male humans are incapacitated by hunger then their women are easier to raep. That's literally the only reason. If you ask a Christian they'll tell you its because wants you to enjoy the pleasure of eating wholesome and delicious food. Who's right? I have no idea.

>>76031 A clean (no processed foods) ketogenic diet. Drink only water and unsweetened tea or coffee. Eat meat, fish, and eggs. Bonus points for wild caught salmon and sardines. Eat fresh cruciferous vegetables. No "vegetable" seed oils at all. Use only olive oil and animal fats. Eat pumpkin seeds and walnuts. Eat dark chocolate. Do not be afraid of full fat dairy products. Eat some spinach. Throw an avocado in there once in a while. Make yourself go for a walk for at least 30 minutes every day. Try to sleep at least six hours every day. No refined sugars or flours whatsoever.

I've ate pretty poorly most of my life and now that I'm getting older it's really starting to affect me in a lot of negative ways. I have decided to start out doing as >>76035 mentioned with cutting something out and then refocus on replacing meals/drinks. I've already cut out fast food and soda. I also have been trying to limit how much I snack. I definitely need to cut out seed oils but it's hard consider those I live with cook with them and my cooking skills are extremely bad. Which is another thing I need to really work on. I need to improve in my cooking skills. I'm just for some reason really bad at following directions in the real world yet can do pretty well digitally.

>>76061 You can always just replace veg oils with ghee or coconut oil. I never really changed my habits of snacking though, just tried replacing all of that "ground up corn" filth with things like trail mix and dates.
Frank Garza · 2023-11-27 20:25
>>76061 Just get olive oil. It's clean and good for you.
Unnamed · 2023-11-27 20:40
>>76071 Olive oil is often adulterated with cheaper oil though.
Sabo Engle · 2023-11-27 22:29
>>76061 What is the challenge with following directions? Are you trying to cut things up at the same time as cooking and running out of time? Not being able to hold yourself back from making dumb substitutions, skipping steps, adding things to the pan in the wrong order? Attempting unnecessary challenges like fancy egg dishes/baking? Mistakes resulting from unclear directions or directions that assume you already know things?

Use coconut oil. It is a food from the heaven.
