I dont know what to do. Ive tried everything to get at life, but it wont work. Im completely incompatible with my generation and therefore cant find people to associate with. I am educated, and tried to apply at various companies in the branch, even to the point of getting private numbers, calling them... Now as of today, i did not got an internship. Its the minimum is ask for, just to get to know the company. But, again rejected just recently. I did go to the gym frequently, 3 times a week. Since a few weeks i stopped as i felt tired since months but still pushed it. I dont understand it. Or maybe i dont like it, but everything is vicious and vile. What am i supposed to do, im an absolute loner. I assume i dont differ much from some others here in this regard. As living in the city is more and more of a horror, ive tried to move to the countryside. But i dont know anyone there, therefore cant associate or get into its society. Its the only thing i would assume that could help me, as nothing binds me to living in the city, besides family, which is the only social contact i have. Maybe i just image its better somewhere else, leading to glorify the idea. I feel and see from my experience that most of gen z are braindead, decadent, hedonistic. Insofar, empty existence. Some people which i can account to the same generation - note that its a tiny minor amount - have helped me with linux or seemed generally like aware living beings. This is said in the sense of seeing, that they are not consume oriented or glorify the hedonist cancer of this generation. A tiny minority with various hobby's and socially isolated. I suppose i must account myself to this branch of people. Is gen Z simply lost ? What do you do as a youngster, it seems purposeless.

>>74555 don't let one rejection make you give up altogether keep applying it is like kicking dead whales down the beach it's a grind and it's inhumane but that's what you have to do to get a corpo job/internship going to the gym isn't as important as everyone online especially on imageboards and IRC makes it out to be. good on you for trying, you can always try again loneliness and not associating with your own generation is not unique to your generation, same with hating city/rural life (grass is greener). idk, life *is* purposeless you have to blaze your own path. don't give up, stop giving up. accept your situation in life right now and move on. one day you'll look back and realize these were the good old days. I'd do anything to be young and directionless again without responsibilities without knowing loss or pain or fear. Hang in there, it gets easier as soon as you start to let go.

>>74555 Country? We can help. >What am I supposed to do? No shame in asking, no shame in researching. Keep faith in yourself, your ideas. >I feel and see from my experience that most of gen z are braindead, decadent, hedonistic. Insofar, empty existence. >[bugmen etc.] I see this same trend toward judgement in myself. Consider that we are all connected. Noone will stay the same forever. Everything must change. From personal experience I don't believe in telling people what they should or must do. You must find your own path, for yourself. You have to reach your own conclusions of what must be done. Noone else can convince you of that. Don't believe the stories they tell you, the cultural ones, about the supremacy of man, how some are created above others. Look deeper, study the complex systems of the world, and understand how everything (including you!) plays a part in this system. Recognise the good in others. Love your fellow man, even as they yell at you from their trucks, deny the rights of others (food, healthcare etc.) in a world of abundance. Realise that there are countless others who wish for a better world. That the incentives (largely economic) are stacked against them. If nothing else, you have true friends and allies here :) I could go on and on about how being employed by others (having a job) does not give humans purpose - we have been robbed of our purpose, our very humanity by our economic system. Yet in our system you have to work to survive. Only the lucky are able to escape. Don't give up anon. I believe in you.
>flood detected · 2023-09-15 04:53
You have been brainwashed, psyopped, blackpilled, alienated, raped with nihilistic happiness denial. Every single 20 something years old guy I talked to parrots the same thing. >le gen z Every single one of you thinks that you have correct, objective view on the world based on the picture that layers of garbage heaps stacked upon on each other in the Internet portray to you. Your entire belief system is bullshit, you believe in bullshit, you think in bullshit, even the words you use are not real. >>74559 You think that you are stuck at one place for months and one day suddenly you notice you've gained a nice body. That's gym for you. This is one way to reaffirm that you are not a helpless sack of meat with no control over his own life. But this is useless without a proper diet.

>>74559 >one day you'll look back and realize these were the good old days. I'd do anything to be young and directionless again without responsibilities without knowing loss or pain or fear. In my 30s and cant comprehend this bullshit. Who the fuarrrk has a childhood without loss or pain or fear? I don't know anyone who had these allegedly existing youths. Walk outside and watch some children, theyll probably be screaming, crying or hitting each other within a few minutes.
Junichi Fujiwara · 2023-09-15 08:57
>>74572 >Walk outside and watch some children, theyll probably be screaming, crying or hitting each other within a few minutes. That's either because they're NPCs or they have brain damage and were raised by the television. I was never like this.
Wintermute · 2023-09-15 09:21
>>74572 >cant comprehend this bullshit It's depressing to see how few people lack the ability to empathize. "It didn't happen for me so I cannot conceive such a thing" must be a terrible existence, but you probably aren't aware of it, you just assume the other person is stupid, right? Well, I can comprehend it and I experience the desire to lay in my bed for hours on end and just reading without having to be concerned with usury and wasted time. >Who the fuarrrk has a childhood without loss or pain or fear? I had lots of loss and fear, I just didn't realize life could be any different. I thought it was normal. I was beaten by my father when he wasn't able to pick up a girl at the bar, I was put in the mental hospital and experimented on at 9, etc. Life kinda sucked. Not to mention we were incredibly poor, a can of baked beans and cut hot hotdogs between 5 people for dinner poor.

>>74570 Genz, as with any other generation, are a product of their - of the current - time. You complaining about current time being different (and thus breading new ideas) to what you're used to or what you believe to be 'right' is peak irony here. >>74555 >From personal experience I don't believe in telling people what they should or must do. You must find your own path, for yourself. Because, surely, trying the advices of others is not a part of 'finding your own thingy' thing. >>74559 >you'll look back and realise it was the good times Yeah, op, *just hang in there*, cuz it's bound to get even worse, lmao.
Molly Millions · 2023-09-15 10:34
>>74574 It's not empathy, it's something deeper. The internet exposed the NPC phenomena to me. In person I never bothered to try to discuss anything with anyone. When I went on the internet I found the vast majority are effectively incapable, and are operating with extreme cognitive deficits. You point them out and just get deflection. Sadly even my own mother does this, despite being redpilled on many matters.
Shogun · 2023-09-15 10:50
>>74555 >Im completely incompatible with my generation and therefore cant find people to associate with. Yeah, I feel the exact same thing. My CV is fuarrrked with holes because of bankrupt or temporary jobs and my own failed endeavors in-between, so I get ghosted 95% of the times. In the interviews when I explain that I tried to start my own business it takes them off-guard. In the trial days – if by chance I even make it there – I bother with things they apparently don't give a crap about. It's like they can feel that I'm not a braindead worker drone that just carries out instructions and they don't want to risk... something with that in mind.

I suppose i must account myself to this branch of people. I know this specific advice is going to go against the disaffected vibe of lainchan but the truth is the truth. your attitude is in the way. Why would anyone open up and be vulnerable with you about all their weird quirky hobbies and all the unique soykaf they do in their spare time and all of the things they really care about when they can already feel you prejudging them? Would you? I bet you also have really low self esteem and struggle to stay on the path of self improvement. I would be willing to bet my savings that the ways that you judge yourself are inextricably linked to the ways that you judge other people. kill the part of yourself that cringes and you will be free.
J.C. Denton OP · 2023-09-15 16:31
>>74559 I must mostly agree with you from my personal standpoint >>74579 >I bet you also have really low self esteem and struggle to stay on the path It depends, i dont have low or awful self esteem. When i look at what i pushed through all on my own, i do have to admit im proud. >Why would anyone open up and be vulnerable with you Because i dont share anything in common with them. I usually do quite well with elder people or Gen X, in conversation. You can discuss experiences, ask about politics from the 80s 70s... or ask for live advice. My grandfather had great influence on me growing up. Therefore cheap cognac makes me nostalgic, it seems to revoke a sense of a time i did not life in. I tend to rather associate with the past, i see this in young people being touched by soviet aesthetics or other unconventional concepts. To some youngsters, - the tiny internet minority - the modern would does not speak to them. >>74575 >Yeah, op, *just hang in there*, cuz it's bound to get even worse I believe the world has been shifting to the state of large entities, parenting its people, this is important in reference to struggles 200, or 100 years ago. Simply as you had massive margin of action. What gets worse is that this margin, threshold is tightening. You cant be independent of anything and are bound to fit in. Gen Z is the hyper turbo exaggeration of this concept. They are one chunk of mass that cant have any fluctuations, as that would lead to segregation. The modern maxim : Be parented or be segregated. This is what i see getting worse, you will be a loner of you dont stigmatize yourself. Which is again why i created this thread, what does a loner do in this modern world?
Aristóteles Amadópulus · 2023-09-15 18:15
>>74590 >what does a loner do in this modern world Having this sort of question arise in your head, I think it comes down to a single decision you're left with: the inner or the outer. Fit in, or fit out. Cut your core, break it apart and mold it anew. The 'normalcy' is unreachable, so you cope, cope once again. It gets daily. Watch the goodfella lains give goodfella type of advices and follow those, they ain't changing 'the norm', though. Breath the poison in, and let it fill you up until you is no longer you. Bee yourself a part of the hive. Or don't. Become insane, gone, disappear completely, it ain't getting better. What part of you is the type of you that the you is willing to sacrifice? Inner or the outer - just a simple choice. You're not surviving this regardless.
Incognito · 2023-09-15 18:45
>>74575 >You complaining about current time being different I'm not complaining, I've addressed that to OP who complained about the genz. That's why it was quoted.
Joey · 2023-09-15 22:20
Yeah. I mean, there's a lot to think about. Very common problem and no answers... Yeah... The world will inevitably seem empty when you're a loner, because you are deeply programmed to be social, so when high level interfaces break you into a hardcore introvert low level interfaces can't handle it properly and get caught in this loop of eternal misery. Nothing you can do about it.
Nell · 2023-09-16 22:49
MESSAGE FOR OP: Read the "black book" series by Dr Christopher Hyatt, preferably 3 times. You can access the series conveniently by searching up "black book dr christopher hyatt" on the online archive archive.org. GOOD LUCK? Or more likely, you will NOT perform the specified actions. The goal of this message (your choice if it is true): Give OP material that will allow them to evolve past their current misery and use the potential of their mutation to advance magick.

You probably have at least subclinical mental illness. Read Brain Energy by Chris Palmer.
J.C. Denton OP · 2023-09-17 06:03
>>74608 >>74609 I may look into it. I read some gnostic stuff before, but i am no one to fully agree with it. This goes for all of the like. May i ask what you mean by : >subclinical mental illness. And why you would expect it ? Still i value your answer, maybe it will be a good read. Thanks.
Switch · 2024-02-08 12:41
Lain, how can I contact you? I'm looking for friends and have always felt much the same. It's probably just autism, but I've lurked this place for years now and it's the population I most identify with that I've found, anywhere. I'm happy to shoot the soykaf.
Dozer · 2024-02-08 16:01
>>74568 based anon up here don't listen to what retarded edgelords have to say about your life, don't fall in judgement's trap, because being judged or judging are the same form of hating. You are you, choose what you know it's right, if you don't know then think more about yourself, about your traumas, about the moments you felt love. Take your time, because thinking about making someone or something happy, just to "fullfil a duty" (often imposed by cultural biases or folks with a fuarrrked up psychology), will ruin your time more than videogames and being a hikki Im a gen z too
Erik Johansson · 2024-02-08 21:30
I experience the same thing. But I see it happening even here. Im so sick of all these annoying ass people who want to find some big overarching diagnosis. Redpill bluepill whatever im so sick of this awful /polx/ soykaf. I don't give a soykaf if all this esoteric soykaf is true or not. I just want friends who I can talk and relate to.
H.R. Giger · 2024-02-09 05:32
>>77501 I feel pretty much the same way. I just want someone I could vent to and listen who could stand always with me. But when I try to talk to someone on the IRC or some Lain Discord server I always get frustrated since these people there do nothing but endlessly soykafpost. Fuarrrk all of this I don't know what to say now anymore. And ironically despite all of this I feel like not wanting to have someone I had to text every day when I'm so frustrated with my own life issues. I just can't understand, lain.

>>77528 You can't just pretend attentions while you aren't feeling to change the same attentions back. Imagine this: you feel really bad, you are searching some friend but this friend is absent the exact day and the exact hour because they had other to think about. What are you going to do? What are you leaving to other ppl? The thing I don't really understand is this: why complain about asociality all together if we can just make a community about that? The thing is limiting all of you is this: you are just trying to feel better by spitting soykaf online, and when someone's trying to share the same feelings you are only feeling a mirror, a validation, instead of another person struggling just like you
