Hello Lain. Would you say that you're ignorant and egocentric? On a scale from 1 to 10, if necessary. And if so, what is the broader ontological, psychosocial framework you operate within which supports and functionalizes your chosen, default, or preferred state? Or is it the inverse, the default supports structures that exist to facilitate you? Pics tangentially related. Somehow, probably.

>Would you say that you're ignorant and egocentric? i don't think so, I'm very impatient but not to make others feel small or because i don't think they're worth of my time, i just have always been very impatient. Especially if I'm not rested, or had long streaks of social interactions. Or if i have debt. Or if it's really hot outside and i don't have AC. I try to be kind and explain that I'm stressed and need some time alone as opposed to just treating people harshly because of my impatience. >And if so, what is the broader ontological, psychosocial framework you operate within which supports and functionalizes your chosen, default, or preferred state? Or is it the inverse, the default supports structures that exist to facilitate you? I'm not sure i got that part, but my work supports me on a practical level. As for a philosophy, dunno, i don't like contracts and really value honest people. Not in the politician sense of honest, honest as in, people who are honest with themselves and understand what they want and who they are. They can lie to me and remain honest in my eyes for example, as long as they aren't lying to themselves. I highly value truth and i really like complexity, this is roughly everything i believe in but I'm not sure there is a philosophical movement about that.

>Would you say that you're ignorant and egocentric? Yes, probably a 7/10 maybe 8 >what is the broader ontological, psychosocial framework you operate within which supports and functionalizes your chosen, default, or preferred state? Or is it the inverse, the default supports structures that exist to facilitate you? Yeah sure

>>74376 >Would you say that you're ignorant and egocentric? I would be so bold as to say I'm not, at least relative to others that I know. I think that, in terms of "frameworks", there exists in and around me a clear drive that creates who I am. The same thing that makes animals breed gets me researching and working. Although, this is something that I've had to come to accept. I used to deny my own individuality and drives. An adult child of an alcoholic. But this was a bad idea because it led me to idleness. Pursuing myself can be exhausting, but is infinitely more rewarding.

90% ignorance, 20% ego. I would like to be better than I am, but I’ve grown so much from where I was. O and life taught me to always grow. >>74395 Your honest is noble. “I know that I know nothing” >>74396 This isn’t a contest. Being “less of a liar than that other guy” still makes you a liar. Don’t compare yourself to others, grow against yourself!

>Would you say that you're ignorant and egocentric? I would consider myself less ignorant but very egocentric. If I had to quantify it, maybe 80% ignorant, and 100% egocentric. >And if so, what is the broader ontological, psychosocial framework you operate within which supports and functionalizes your chosen, default, or preferred state? Or is it the inverse, the default supports structures that exist to facilitate you? I operate from a place of fear and shame, as was developed in my upbringing. I think that there are many structures in place that are designed to make me feel this way in my country. I consider myself to be ignorant on most topics worth caring about, and highly egocentric in that I protect very carefully my sense of self by being overtly kind to everyone around me so that they don't perceive me as a threat. Basically "if they don't fear you they won't pay attention to you, and if they don't pay attention to you, they are less likely to attack you."

I feel like I could be on either end similtaneously. I put most of my efforts towards caring for others and considering them, and most of my values and larger goals involve caring for others. Im always trying to push to be a better person, and trying to strike a compromise between the kind of selfish child like wishes i have and of the responsibilities to the world and those around me. Of which I do feel I have responsibilities and I have already thoruoughly explored thinking I dont and decided it wasnt for me. I always listen to advice without interruption even if its something i thoroughly understand or have already considered, even if I think I can tell its actually the other person not knowing or considering something. I accept when others are right, and as long as I have some respect for someone il often default to kind of assuming they could be right at first and trying to work in their framework before making my own decisions. But in some ways im intensely egotistical, and I cant tell if its always been this way and im just noticing or if its something I have developed. I take almost no pride in anything I do or have accomplished yet simultaneously whenever someone is doing anything there is a sense of anxiety or dread for not being able to do it too. If someone shows me a drawing, il say only good things, but if I notice anything about it I dont think I could also do it will bother me immensely and il secretly be highly envious. This happens even with things I have no fuarrrking clue about, simply because I could imagine a path of my life where I would have. I used to be a STEM kid a long, long time ago, and when any of my old friends show me something regarding electrical engineering or computer science that they are just doing in their own time as a passion project I get in this train of thought of I should have stuck with the STEM stuff id love doing something like this, im just as smart as they are. Thats kind of the vibe of the thought and why I consider it selfish, its like a "Im just as good as you are". Even though in any particular area I could admit they are better than me. I have friends id consider and openly admit are smarter than me, better at x or y than me, more caring or more responsible or more driven. All these things I could admit to, but its like its always followed with some kind of vaguely defensive thought about how in the end of it all il come out on top. Even though I know life is not a competition, and in some ways I dislike competitive things. In a similar vein im highly sensitive to perceived disrespects or slights against me. If someone takes on any tone of like "looking down on me" il remember it pretty much forever and avoid them. I wont say anything and il still be nice but il actively dislike them. It can be as simple as someone at work telling me I should take a break and let someone else step in, especially depending on who they are saying should step in. Il oblige but il secretly think they must think this other person can handle it or do it better than me and were trying to placate me. If I call something in to the front desk and they dont respond and then I hear them respond to someone else il assume they must not think whatever I had to call in was important and must think im someone who just clutters up the communication channels and go radio silent the rest of the day out of spite, often in spite of being told to actually talk more. In new social settings I will very quickly think even something like not smiling back when I smile or not responding to something I say is a sign they dont have any respect for me (which they shouldnt, we just met). Because I keep these tallies and scores in my head of ways ive been slighted but never speak on them cause I know they are paranoid and unreasonable, it often leads to me just one day like leveraging myself against them. Ignoring them, or choosing not to show up to something I normally would, or suddenly not helping them with anything where I might have before. Almost all of my friends, really the only special reason we are friends, is they simply dont allow me to do this. They will recognize im going silent on them and demand to know whats wrong at which point im forced to confront im being unreasonable. Its often hard for me to reconcile these two aspects of myself. I often simultaneously want to care for someone, resent they cant do more for themselves, realize theres a lot I cant do for myself yet either, want to be alone all the time but want people around all the time, feel inferior to others while feeling im somehow better, refuse to accept any congratulations or compliments on what I do or even acknowledge it yet still be hurt if no one else acknowledges it. Overall at the moment id say im moderately egocentric and in a little war to be less so in a reasonable way where im not bending over backwards and hurting myself, which is its own kind of ignorance and egocentrism. If I had to guess why I am this way or why its my preferred state its that I was often told since I was little that im "too smart for my own good" or that im "not as smart as I think I am" or that I wasnt a hard worker or team player, or that eventually id hit a wall with the way I was gliding through life early on, or "how can you do x complex thing but not y basic thing", a lot of "i used to be like you"s from adults. I really had no idea what any of them were talking about; but it made me feel like while I had something unique to me I could use, taking pride in it or trying to develop it at all was somehow bad. So maybe this puts me where I am now where I clearly have this inferiority complex that day to day makes me want to lift others up I think need it and to care for others and listen to others and learn from others and do the right thing but in moments is vicious and quick to revoke everything I just mentioned in a moments notice.

>>74376 >Would you say that you're ignorant and egocentric? While I believe I am not "Egocentric" or "Ignorant", I have had people describe to me, including shrinks, that I have a very "selfish, aelf-centered and narcissistic" attitude which, frankly, is complete horseshit. Anywho, onto the next question. >the default supports structures that exist to facilitate you? I do not need anything to sustain me, nor do I need anything to sustain. I am my own being, free of the shackles of everyday work or the struggles of the average man. I am beyond the need of "I MUST DO THIS, OR BUY THAT," the system crumbles when it deals with people like me for we do not fall nor faulter under the constant barrage of Demoralization used in our current media or on other imageboards. Anywho, like I was saying before my tangent, and to also answer you r question if I had not been clear enough-- there is no "preferred state" nor "psychosocial framework" I operate on. I live and decide on my on choices, sometimes on a whim and other times planned.
