I am incredibly tired of the social games people play to the point that I am no longer comfortable around basically any demographic of people.
-I dislike other men my own age or younger because they're almost always self centered assholes who try to compete with you and drain you of energy.
-I dislike girls my own age because their standards are ridiculous in my eyes and I can't be bothered to fight off other men. I recently got a new girlfriend and genuinely every time I speak to/see her I can't help but think "when is she going to replace me?".
-Older people are nicer, but I don't have enough in common with them to sustain conversations that would genuinely interest them.
It's honestly kind of insane. Everyone has an agenda they're pushing. Every agenda is some perversely justified series of rationalisations that just so happen to benefit the holder. Everyone is an asshole, outwardly or subtly. And worst of all, I can't just sit in my room and avoid it all - that is also depressing. The best idea I've had so far is to still go outside but just avoid speaking to anyone. People treat you best when they don't know you. But then I am a graduate at the end of this year! My best hope is finding an SME to work for that is full of people with a genuine passion for cybersecurity instead of the clueless normal person idiots that fill my course.
It's not even that I can't socialise. When I try, people like me. But it's all based on complete bullshit - pointless jokes, vain and vapid interests, needlessly poking fun at each other. And they only like the superficial things: how you look, how popular you are, whether you put in effort to make them laugh. All complete, pointless bullshit.
And the worst part? The more you analyse this bullshit system, the more you realise just how simple and, worst of all, quantifiable it is. I did a good deed for you? You'll return it tomorrow. You did something nice? Now I need to pay you back or you'll think I'm a bad friend. You subconsciously think you're better than me but are consciously in denial? The return ratio won't quite be 1:1.
Am I insane?

You also have your own agenda that you are pushing.
>My best hope is finding an SME to work for that is full of people with a genuine passion for cybersecurity instead of the clueless normal person idiots that fill my course.
Oh boy...
>Am I insane?
No. Buddhists noticed that thousands of years ago. Just give up on everything and go sit quietly at the nearest dharma center in your region. Samsara is impossible to solve, impossible, abandon all your hope.

I know most of the time i am trying to talk to anyone who isnt in my usual group im usually not gonna get anywhere, usually i get further by being an a s s than being genuine trying to have a decent talk
which country is treating u this way, lainon?
>My best hope is finding an SME to work for that is full of people with a genuine passion for cybersecurity instead of the clueless normal person idiots that fill my course.

Where do you meet such people? Have you considered seeking companionship elsewhere?
>I dislike girls my own age because their standards are ridiculous
What helped me a lot is not to think about girls as potentially dateable/fuarrrkable people. It makes the interaction much more pleasant, when you don't expect nothing from it.
>Everyone has an agenda they're pushing.
Yeah, like if you are girl, everyone want's to get into your pants.
>Every agenda is some perversely justified series of rationalisations that just so happen to benefit the holder.
And you don't have any such beliefs?
>My best hope is finding an SME to work for that is full of people with a genuine passion for cybersecurity instead of the clueless normal person idiots that fill my course.
I think this approach is honestly the best. Instead of trying to find people in random places, look in places that already preselects people for you. School is like kicking dead whales down the beach for socializing, because few people want to be there ( => everyone is annoyed) and it mixes too much people from various backgrounds ( => not enough selection to easily find people on the same wave).
>It's not even that I can't socialise. ... But it's all based on complete bullshit - pointless jokes, vain and vapid interests, needlessly poking fun at each other.
What would you consider as worthy way to socialize?
School and workplace aren't generally places conductive to some deep discussions about the natures of the infinity (unless you're in math course, I guess) and whether there is God.

>pissing on the floors
I do this as well. Sometimes when I feel "ballsy" I'll even poop in the floor and if no one is in the bathroom and if it's solid enough sometimes I'll pick it up with paper towels and start to smear or throw it around. I absolutely hate the general population. I fantasize a lot over anarchist scenarios where people are running all around killing each other and raping each other.

Go drop acid with a bunch of hippies at a music festival or something. Have some fun in an environment that is explicitly against the quid pro quo exchanges you complain about. And I don't mean this in a "it will expand your mind, maaaan" way. I mean it just in a "get out of your routine and have some genuine fun with people for once" way.
>SME to work for that is full of people with a genuine passion for cybersecurity instead of the clueless normal person idiots that fill my course.
If you expect to find passion in the workplace, you're in for a bad time. There are passionate people working, but that passion is overshadowed by writing boring reports for management, meetings, and the monotony of it all. You want passionate individuals who aren't worn down by business bullshit? Unironically, go into academia. Go to grad school, join a post doc program, take a research position. You'll end up teaching for a portion of your time but that will be less soul sucking than office work.
>The more you analyse this bullshit system, the more you realise just how simple and, worst of all, quantifiable it is. I did a good deed for you? You'll return it tomorrow. You did something nice? Just don't hang out with people like this and don't be a person like this. Most people are not looking for this weird quid pro quo pseudo-friendship you're hung up on.
>Everyone has an agenda they're pushing.
Like what? Most of my friends are cool people who just want to have fun with other cool people. Not agents of an agenda machine

Congratulations op you have seen trough the human game, welcome to the real world.
Indeed most people are npcs and have nothing at all to offer.
Basically you can put people into 3 categories when it comes to social relationships, theyre either boring clueless morons, greed sociopathic selfish assholes or just crazy with bits of funny, creative and/or intelligent, but too weird to be around for too long.

I like your style man.
I tend to be highly avoidant, not to a super degree where i go to lengths to avoid to the max, but i minimize all exposure and hold maximum distance as is convient.
Since the rona thing i see everyone as a potential pathogenic vector and also everyone might be an agent or an asset of some sort, otherwise an asshole i guess.
Even if they are not agents for the state the probablity is high they are igonrant and engage in stupid behavior that somehow supports the actions of babylon.
Not to mention i couldnt even begin to interact on a normal level, the everday farce is so tiresome and stupid there is no point in engaging with anyone who has not seen past it.

>I recently got a new girlfriend and genuinely every time I speak to/see her I can't help but think "when is she going to replace me?".
You have very low self-confidence. You're probably also not with the right person.
>Older people are nicer, but I don't have enough in common with them to sustain conversations that would genuinely interest them.
There is a trick to talking with older people (as in, 60+). They often have some wisdom they want to impart. Sometimes it's actually wise too. You simply have to ask them questions. People in the age range 40-60 are usually still 'in the game' though, or at least they feel they should be.
I'm guessing you are pretty young and roughly middle class. In the west, most people aren't really adults until somewhere between ages 20 and 25. Some people never really become adults at all. Until then, they are essentially children, or at least adults with the mindset of children. The fact you've gotten tired of them might mean you are starting to mature.
Adults still play a game though, it's just a more advanced game with much more real stakes. Many people don't even realize they're playing. Don't look for emotional satisfaction there, at best you'll get some fun times and maybe make a real friend or even a lover out of it. Those are the people that are really worth investing energy into. Everyone else is just acquaintances, people you play the game with.

>Am I insane?
You are if you ask this around in society. Fortunately you asked to lainons so no, you aren't for me.
Humans are pushed by interior forces, always seeking power, always seeking dominance. Yes, everyone does something for something in return. It has always been this way, it's how human thrived. But, the only thing that changed in all these millennia is that people are not conscious of this anymore. The current human now wants himself to be seen as an altruist and someone that has "morals". But every altruist action has an egoist gain, every moral principle has an unconscious not-so-moral background.
Just think this for a bit and you will notice patterns of this every time, as you already did. Why a fellow human helps a neighbor? Because he is altruist, someone would say. But really, if he had a little more introspection he would see that he did that to have a new debtor (something potentially useful) and above all to be seen as a respectable member of society, because we are instinctively scared to be outcasts. And why we feel "guilty" when someone helps us or does us a favor? Because we know that now we are in debt with the fellow samaritan, and we feel even more guilty when this is done in public, because now the whole of society is testament to our debt. There are countless more examples of this, try to think up some yourself.
Now, you have to ask yourself: is this really a bad thing? Because "bad" is defined by the same morals that you are denouncing. What is really "bad" after all? The very same workings that enabled us to thrive? This is nothing else than an usurpation of values, the egoism and individuality that was once normal is now seen as something to despise for "the greater good" and for the "well being of everyone". But why? That's a mystery, you can call this social justice, or Christianity, it does not make a difference. But you know very well that if you don't appeal to these customs and morals, people will get VERY angry at you. And suddenly, the customs and morals don't even matter anymore, the only focus is that they MUST get revenge over your breach of the morals. Again, see it for yourself in how the legal system works, how we used to hang people publicly and how people now react to other people opinions, for example in political matters. Online, It always ends in a matter of "we are better than you", offline it always ends in a surge of violence and red screaming faces. Notice that when a group wins over another (no matter the group) it often ends in people screaming of joy like in trance, without even remembering why / what they won.
It's all because we actually don't fuarrrking care about the reasons, we only care about dominating and / or maintaining the status quo of the "group". Everything else, an excuse.
But like it or not, dominance and power are the reasons why everything is creating and dying. This is something that is not unique to humans, it affects every living thing, even the protons and electrons are moved by opposition. It has enabled us to create complex systems of societies, and everything we did is a testament to this will to power (even the fuarrrking device you are using now). It's the reason why everything in nature is constantly created and it's the reason why everything must die. Without this will to power everything would be a barren, grey wasteland (figuratively, probably not even the universe would exist without something that put it in motion but this soykaf is too philosophical)
We should embrace this will and stop pretending we are not a part of it. The power dynamic of everything is like magic, and we should let it do the thing.
Well as for myself realized that i have trouble making friends and i ditch friendships and social events whenever possible, not really because I have social anxiety (although i do) but mostly because i subconsciously don't want to deal with the stuff that comes after. (needing to ask people out, having to text people periodically etc...) It's like my dumbass brain looks at friends as a weakness, a dependency. I do this with girls too, whenever i see someone that has an interest on me i just avoid it with all my forces. I know it's dumb, but i can't help but to already imagine the life with said girl and just hating the fact that i would renounce some of my freedom. Or maybe i just don't want to hurt myself. I really need to solve this because sometimes the loneliness is unbearable

I too have read Beyond Good and Evil. Perhaps you should ask more from your interpersonal relationships? I found myself faced with a lack of interest in my last relationship and thought they just weren't for me. Now I ask for more when I associate with people, I find it makes it more 'meaningful' and makes me actually keen to maintain the relationship. Worst case: you're left alone, but that seems hardly a change from your current circumstances.

I've actually taken a lot of LSD 2 years ago and had the typical derealisation experience that comes with it. Probably one of the best things to ever happen to me. As for academia, I rather dislike it and honestly can't wait to leave. I don't think I could subject any further research I do to the guidelines and processes that something like a post-doc has to satisfy.
>Just don't hang out with people like this and don't be a person like this. Most people are not looking for this weird quid pro quo pseudo-friendship you're hung up on.
As others have stated, they may not consciously operate like this but it doesn't change the fundamental nature of how social interaction works. I do agree, people like that are usually far more pleasant to be around. What I ultimately want, is someone who understands this thoroughly and chooses not to exploit it for personal gain at every opportunity. Somebody to actively deny the system its intended way to function while still fully acknowledging it exists.

>As others have stated, they may not consciously operate like this but it doesn't change the fundamental nature of how social interaction works.
The difference is in how the game is played, not in the game itself. There are cooperative strategies and competitive strategies. You dislike people who play competitively, but there are plenty of people who at least try to play cooperatively.
You want somebody who will go out of their way to not gain anything from you? Why would they be your friend then? There is nothing wrong from being around people because you gain something from them, that is why people bother interacting at all. But there is a difference between stabbing people in the back to get ahead and watching peoples' backs to get ahead.
Agent Richard Gill · 2023-01-11 10:06
I stalk people.
But not just any, I exclusively go after the most fun targets - the ones wearing milslurp. A 'normal' person doesn't wear milslurp, as he fears of appearing to be a dweeb, regardless of how cheap it is. People wearing it have a mindset that, unlike most people's, does not entirely exclude the possibility of armed struggle or collapse. As a result, they develop at least a mild sense of paranoia.
But if you stalk a regular person, they would most likely confront you and possibly call the police, regardless of the sparsity of the patrols. The people that I followed often confronted me, but never called the police. They became cautious, looking around their backs and quickening their pace once they notice me looking around the corner. I like to play with them - take a fork that would eventually end up feeding into the same road, making them think they lost me, only to walk past them a few minutes later.
I don't do it much out of a lack of time anymore, but I'm thinking of getting back on track, maybe going to a nearby town to do it. It's exciting - like a hunt. I have no intention of hurting them, it just makes me giggle like a girl.

If you see me in public I might look at you while listing to music. I am not gonna talk to you. I just wanna go where I am going.
If you do however get to know me, I will probably be one of the weirdest people ever. I literally say whatever. People always hate me. The only people who stuck are the ones that find me funny. I am very annoying too. You can literally be half-asleep and I will annoy you with the most random soykaf ever. I might actually be a psychopath. But I do love myself full on. I am also very far ahead of everyone. Most people never thought what I thought. Most people are still stuck in their boundaries of thought. Maybe this is just me showing off my edgyness, but that proofs my point even more.
I do actually think that I am not that bad when getting to know people. I am really honest and some people like that. I would also say that I am not bad looking. But going past any "getting to know" is impossible. I will start talking about the most random stuff.
I actually don't care. I wanna find people that get me, but there are few.
I do not follow the classic christian morality. I disagree with all of the ten commandments.
