Lolbercritical et ECONO/POL/ General

Love em or hate em, lolbertarians, commies, anarchbros and other econo/pol/ factions are a perennial favourite topic in this here community. Citing recent outbreaks, most specifically in the beloved linux distro thread, I have made the unilateral and unofficial decision to commence this thread, now that the previous lolbercritical thread[1] got too fat for its own good. So tell me lain, Real Communism. Has it ever been tried ? 1 - https://lainchan.org/hum/res/55068.html(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST , This is a soykaf thread and a Rule 4 violation. Just like the linked thread before it. Lainons please save this thread by making decent replies or it will be deleted. In future please don't make bland soykaf generals without an actual qualified topic or decent first post.)

>>58211 >So tell me lain, Real Communism. Has it ever been tried ? Yes. It overall failed. The attempts were either ethical, but too small-scale to have any significant impact (a few anarchist experiences being good examples of this), or powerful and influential, but contradicted themselves and failed to be more ethical than capitalism (most marxist-leninist experiences). As long as capitalism exists, it'll always be the right time to try socialism again.

Many would argue Lenin totally misunderstood Marx or if he didn't Marx never actually wrote about anything like Lenin's state capitalist transition method so nothing should have been assumed. Plus he outright defied Marx where Marx said you had to wait till everything advances from capitalist systems first before any comminism is possible but Lenin thought things needed pushed along and thus a near serfdom Russia skipped the capitalist stage Marx spoke of. Stalin against Lenin's wishes and warnings that never made it due to his death really screwed up the course of history. While Stalin's strong man leadership may (or may not) have been necessary for the Soviet Union to protect the slavs from genocide by Nazi Germany he corrupted Lenin's ideas by perverting state capitalism into the end stage of communism for him to remain in power and to try and appease the people when it never was meant to be that. Other countries followed Stalin's example and that's where things went wrong. Of course though not every state was like this. Yugoslavia was lead by a still today much loved Tito who was considered a benevolent dictator but the CIA made sure to try and stop people from being prosperous and happy. Not saying everyone was happy and well off under Tito but general consensus was positive. I could go on but I dont want to get into a whole world history lesson. Of course Marx isn't some deity though, he easily could be wrong about what steps are necessary. Communism has been tried but it was never achieved but that doesn't mean it's not possible it just means external forces ei glowies and bureaucrats are at play. If you look at all history you will see all major government changes and major technological advancments have initial periods of instability regardless of their ideology or how they handle things. The industrial revolution for example leas to many deaths but does that mean it never should have happened and that things like engines never should have existed? Of course not it just is something one always needs to be cautious of. The USSR did quite well surprising despite this outside of the major drawback of over farming helping contribute to creation of a famine however the same occured in the US in what's called the Dust Bowl which proves it has nothing to do with ideology. Personally I don't think a completely stateless society can perpetually exist after the concept is already out there but it's even more irrational to think the current governments and capitalism will exist forever in human history. History has proven otherwise. Capitalist businesses already use all the tools a socialist governing system of citizens can use to improve distribution of goods and services for the better of all instead of for profit. I'd say closest to communism is the autonomous zone in Chiapas Mexico ran by the Zapatistas for several decades now. They are mostly self reliant outside of needing to participate in the capitalist market to obtain money to buy medicine they cant make themselves due to the knowledge being blocked off outside the private sphere.

>>58215 >buy medicine they cant make themselves due to the knowledge being blocked off outside the private sphere. intellectual property should be abolished

>>58219 >intellectual property should be abolished Ehh, in cases like this it sounds like likely as much a lack of skill, and resources to pursue it, as anything. Its not intellectual property's fault if I can make arbitrary molecules in my nice chemical lab after reading some paper and you can't in your kitchen/garage after reading the same. >>58215 >all major government changes and major technological advancments have initial periods of instability regardless of their ideology or how they handle things its frustrating how many people seem to overlook this. >still today much loved Tito Ive certainly met an archetypal person from former communist countries who are very keen on the ousted government, be it Tito/mihailovic, Ceausescu, or whomever else. Its clear that these places had problems, but its clear that they're also exagerated by anticom propogandists. At the end of the day though, sure. Everyone had a job, a place to live, there weren't all the homeless beggers and paint sniffers you have nowadays. Sure doesn't sound bad, and I guess it sounds kinda like communism. Maybe its real, ehh.
