The Grindset
Hacker · 2022-03-22 03:38
Hi Lainons, as of late I've thought about getting into the upper-class management world. How would I go about doing this? What kind of grindset should I abide by to be able to work a job paying at the very least 100k a year by my thirties?
I'm a pretty resourceful, curious, and enterprising guy. But I'm not sure how to start. I've been pumping iron for the past six months and while I'm sure I've got the body to begin the grindset I've got no idea how to actually get a foot into the door of a Fortune 500.
Advice is appreciated.

Why? Sounds like a miserable experience.
>a job paying at the very least 100k a year
Is it all about the money for you or are you also very concerned about things like social status and getting to boss people around?

>I want to get into the upper-class business management world
>starts the thread with a photo of the one character who demonstrates why getting into the upper-class business management world is a horrible idea
In all seriousness though, the best advice that I can give is don't do it just to do it, you've gotta have an impassioned goal.
We all start by thinking a trade or an occupation is cool, but that's where many people stop their ambition. That's because they lack a passion for it.
A passion can be loving what you do in the trade, or a specific goal tied to your beliefs. For example, someone might think that being a priest looks cool, but won't pursue it unless they really want to spread god's love to the world.
I still think it's a horrible idea, the upper-class are savages who consume one another through greed and barbarism, but hide it behind business suits, meetings, and polite smiles. That does not sound like a group I want to be a part of.
But if you really must, then come up with a business that you feel strongly passionate about. Maybe you have interest in Law, you'd like to defend people in court? Then study law and open up your own firm.
Find something you're passionate about and build the business from that passion, because that strong desire in you will drive you forward past all obstacles.

Social skills are probably going to be your top priority. And I mean Machiavelli (though more mundane books such as Dale Carnegie will be usefull too).
I am unsure about recommending game theory. It seems like a good framework for decision making, but being a mathematical topic it can get detached from practical matters. General systems theory should help too.
Getting there will depend less on actual knowledge than on social navigation skills, but knowledge is always an asset. Learn about money: economics, and actual management. Don't get too tangled in theory though, it is enough to be conversant (ie. not ignorant) so you can talk-the-talk.
And the real work is in making connections, seeking people, trying to close deals, getting to know everyone who's anyone, and have them seeyou often enough to get used to your face.
You also have to play nice and perform little social gimmicks like remember details about people such as their birthdays, remem er to greet them on holidays, all that soykaf.
I could never hack it, but it goes along those lines, though that's a first step and still far from the top.
Also, don't fall into the grindset mentality, those motivational videos on jewtube? Those are designed for slaves. Keep your head above the illusions and you might just make it.

At my work, most managers are former developers who took on a management role after doing development work for a few years. The most common path here is to start as a developer on an agile team, become a scrum master or product owner, then become general manager of a few teams, then a project manager, then business unit manager. Usually these and higher positions are reached through internal promotions, but experienced individuals have been hired in. This is just my experience and is specific to software companies who follow the agile methodology.
Most industries have some books that are in vogue for the preferred management style of the industry. Read those.
>grindset
ignore the grindset meme. Get a nine to five job, pay attention to their boring meetings about career growth, and follow their internal promotion paths. Or get a new job if they don't have good internal promotion processes.
Don't grind for it. Working 60 hour weeks at a salaried position isn't going to make your management think you deserve a promotion. They're going to think either you're incompetent and need extra time to get your work done, you're a good worker they can pay less for more time at your current position and therefore are valuable and hard to replace at your current position (therefore no role changes), and/or you're barreling towards burnout and shouldn't be given more responsibility. The corporate grindset is a meme by NEETS, teens, and poor people who have never worked in an office. And the influencers who take advantage of them.
>I've been pumping iron for the past six months and while I'm sure I've got the body to begin the grindset
This has nothing to do with management. Have you seen most high level managers? They're not exactly known for being the fittest.

Pretty sure you misunderstood the culture,
grindset =ignore distractions and focus on what you really want
On point that working hard doesnt equal getting ahead because if you make yourself irreplaceable you cement yourself towards never getting promoted. Working hard doesnt however equal being a good mule at your job. You can work hard at your career in various alternate ways like getting additional qualifications and job hunting in your free time instead of wasting it away. Thats imo the point of grindset in modern culture - stop wasting it on the entertainment trap.

Game theory would be useless as it assumes that all parties are acting rationally but humans are prone to not do so...
Delilah · 2022-04-19 00:19
>>58185
In game theory their idea of rational is actually pretty low bar. So that's less an issue than you think. Just look up the prisoner dilema. I was surprised my answer was considered wrong in game theory and delved into outside sources what was dubbed something along lines "super rational". Game theory basically assumes everyone is a low average IQ and sociopathic. The whole thing is basically politically motivated for pro war agendas it seems.
Fred Nurk · 2022-04-19 19:38
>>58217
>In game theory their idea of rational is actually pretty low bar
You need 1) perfect knowledge of what game you're playing and your valuations of different outcomes 2) the fact that all players have this knowledge needs to be "common knowledge" (so everyone knows you know, and they know you know they know, etc.). The fact that both of these are violated in real life means that you quickly get to the frontiers of mathematical knowledge when modelling unknown games, asymmetric games, etc.
In the prisoner's dilemma it is assumed that the motivations and valuations of the prisoners can be reduced to four particular numbers. That itself is absurd, as you have noted many people choose not to rate the other out. That is because there are more motivations at play than merely wanting to get out of prison.

It depends entirely on the country / region as you said. But corporations nowadays have legal restrictions and quotas that they HAVE TO fill a certain number of black / punjabi / asians etc. So their next candidate might simply not allowed to be white, and one should be aware of that. This is more true for the huge congleromates close do the top down corporate responsibility i.e. NWO-Agenda
Universities in the USA ofcourse are all strictly anti-white, they will not take in any more white especially male students unless they show extraordinary talent and can provide near term benefits like increasing their number of citations rank by providing actually useful work, theres always a need for a bit of that.
In any case, be aware of your surroundings.

I dont know where you live if you're in a more small town "local" area It's likely the ZOG agenda is not pushed as hard.
But anyway just look at any university website and you will see only minority representation token faces, then the majority or half of research is usually asian / nonwhite.

>So their next candidate might simply not allowed to be white, and one should be aware of that.
That usually isn't the policy. Typically the deal is more like "we need you to reach a certain goal when hiring, but of course you also can't discriminate ;)". Hiring managers have a lot of discretion and if they're in a politically advantageous position (or if they just don't care about becoming VP) they can just play it straight and hire whoever is best for the job. Not everyone in a typical corpo has bought into that agenda.
>Universities in the USA ofcourse are all strictly anti-white, they will not take in any more white especially male students unless they show extraordinary talent
This is simply not true.
>>58245
>I am talking about more upper ranking (top 500 world ranking) universities.
which tend to have more rich white students than humdrum state universities/city college. Reason for this is that rich white (and asian, and rich black but there are relatively few of those in the US) parents have the resources and drive to get their kids in. Poor white and black parents are apathetic or antagonistic to college, middle class whites and hispanics and poor (brown) hispanics just want their kid to get a degree and maneuver into a middle-class job so they can buy a house and raise a family.
So yeah they will show preferential treatment to (certain) minorities but there still is a bar that they have to get past. No university wants to give a full ride to some black kid who fails out and dies of a drug overdose, they want to be able to stamp "HARVARD" on the stunning and brave black trans woman who disrupted academia, and there aren't very many of those compared to the sea of white and asian kids whose parents pushed them hard and maybe bribed a few bureaucrats.
Hacker · 2022-04-20 00:38

There are tons of German, European and Asian universities in the top 500 that only accept undergraduates based on a ranking of either high school grade, entrance exams or are so hard they accept anyone but only graduate a handful. Graduate school and PhDs usually have an open door policy. The reason they have a lot of minority students is that they drain above average students from all around the third world.
Random · 2022-04-20 07:49
Social networking will be your best friend. Most people in the upper-class business management world got there through connections or dynasty. Unless you're a buffet or a zuckerberg, you're not likely to make it in through a "grindset" or sheer hard work alone.
I also think your goal is a little misguided, the upper-class business management world is somehow sterile, hedonistic, suffocating, and depressing all at the same time. (I have experience in this sector). If you want to be making 100k a year and consider yourself to be a resourceful, hardworking, and enterprising guy, consider PR or advertising, consider investing time into your social skills and creativity. They pay well, and don't carry the same problems that business management does.

The very reason your country advertises for immigration is cause they have no young people to replace your retiring 40-50 bracket cause evidently your old gen dint get kids. So either they ship in enough young people to replace the missing youth or you simply wont have anyone left working to finance the pensioners. And this is the result: most of the youth now is imported. You are the minority.

The only reason this is a problem is because they put women into offices and PhD degrees, raised prices and nobody can afford children as well as anti-children propaganda.
Then finally, the retirement home structure and nucleation of humans is what caused the need for "professional caretakers". Normally the family should take care of their old.
Note that this was all a top down force progress. After WWII and absolute carpet bombing of Germany, the Allied occupiers(today became NATO) manufactured both this problem(low birthrate, destroyed social fabric and support network of old people) and then the solution(import useless low IQ migrants to do manual labour like filling shelfs).
The solution however is not even a solution, as these migrants provide nothing most of the time apart from crime, unemployment, or at best kebab joints and call center workers.
Anyway you think economy and superficial things should only be solved by genocide of a nation due to minor but fixable inconveniences? fuarrrk off, for real.
