The human experience isn't all bad, even if we naturally receive the worse parts much stronger; let's not forget about the good bits. Doesn't have to be anything big, or recent, just something that made you feel like things have a chance. I'll go first: this goes back to middle school, I was fairly involved in my Church back then (not anymore, a fact which I regret), and there were these two brothers; both with physical and mental disabilities. One of them was stuck in an electric wheelchair, and the other needed a walker. As for their mental conditions; of course I don't know specifics, but I suspect autism (fairly severe) possibly even down syndrome for the wheelchair boy. They were both super into the religion, and joined in basically every activity at the church. From altar serving to mission trips. I remember having such a feeling that they simply belonged. Nobody did anything to exclude them, and in turn they didn't try to force themselves into situations where they had no business to be. They didn't try and force socialization like you see a lot of people with higher level autism do, as they were already involved in everything. People talked to them just as often as any other member of the little social circle we had there. And I NEVER got the sense that anyone resented them for being there. One point that I remember especially clearly, is that I was on a camping retreat with the church some time in high school and we were doing adoration. And the walker boy was going around asking people if he could pray for them. I didn't even notice until he game to me, he was so gentle with how he approached me and so quit that; despite the near total silence I didn't hear him talk to anyone else. The non-religious amongst you might not understand this, but I felt so connected when I did this. It almost made me cry. He was going out of his way to do something to everyone; and in what is normally a very personal moment; I was able to connect to someone I barely knew. I don't think that I could have had that moment with anyone else, not the priest, the youth minister who was leading the trip, not even my sister who was there with me. I don't know what became of anyone in that social group, but I hope they're all well.

>>56357 I'm happy to see someone with such a positive experience in church, since most of mine are quite negative. A friend of mine invited me out to lunch one, and we were eating with a much older friend of his at the time (he was a highschool senior we were juniors). Over a plate of barbecue this man laid out one of the most dramatic life experiences I had ever heard. It was about his sister was impregnated prematurely by her boyfriend at the time. His father forbade them to see each other after such an accident. He said specifically that the boyfriend could not see the daughter again until the cost of birth would be paid for (abortion is illegal in my country). So that's what the fuarrrker did, he moved to Syria (or somewhere in the middle-east) for a job, came back after years, and paid for the pregnancy. I'm unsure what the senior said of their relationship status, but with such a story I wouldn't be surprised if they were still together. I remember being enamored by listening to such an honest and intense human experience from someone I had met just a few minutes ago. It was really entertaining soykaf, and that story stuck with me all the way until today. I also look back on this memory fondly, because I ended up going out with the friend that invited me there in the first place.

>>56357 Perhaps love and generosity are the cure this board needs? When I was younger I had a hard time sitting still, so I would take every chance I could to go out in the sweltering summer sun, expend my energy. When I would lay down in the grass, my cat would stroll up and rest with me. It made me feel like I was loved. That acceptance, existential fullfillment, and peace makes it one of my most cherished memories. If I ever need to go to my happy place, big grassy sunny fields with my cat is where I will be. Love you anon.

The Christmas she went to go see family outside of town and decided to stay there until it's safe for her to come back through public transportation like a bus. Never posted before but the past couple stories were too comfy so I had to. The first thing that came to my mind was a trip that I went on with my dad as a kid at roughly ten years old. We went with a bunch of his friends to a house by the coast that they had hired out for a few days around the beginning of winter. The house was old but quite posh and well-kept. There was an ornate kitchen-cum-bar that connected to a living room, with a separate space with a pool table across the hall. The back wall was lined with books which was a small heaven to me as a young child. Being the autist I am, my days there were spent either hiding in the latter room. Watching people play pool while simultaneously reading all the weird stories from these dusty old Reader's Digests. Or going into the social area and getting involved with the conversations my dad was having with his friends. One key part of this memory was a friend of my dads showing me some YouTube videos. This was my first exposure to the platform as it had only been around for a few years at this point. It was the funniest soykaf I had ever seen and I bugged him incessantly about it. Asking him to play me more funny videos. Miss when it was all so mysterious, but writing this takes me back there.

>>56375 You reminded me of more cherished memories I had. My school had this camping trip with a big lounge and in the basement was a pool area. I would go down there, play pool with people, and socialize. It was really chill. There was a contest we had where we had to build a bunch of boats of of cardboard. I had a lot of fun with that.

I went on vacation with my LDR gf the other weekend. Had a wonderful time, put benis in bagina, and felt the rare emotion of "happy." But now that I'm back in my country, her absence just stings more.
Dox · 2022-02-20 14:26
My happy memories kind of come from someone elses bad memories. When I was a kid my mother knew this dude and she used to babysit his daughter. She would start coming over to my house and we would play together. It came to a point where I saw her all the time because her dad would dump her at my house all the time because he didn't want to deal with her. I loved it but I never knew why it was like this until many years later. Sometimes I wish I could relive that again. Honestly, I wish more that I was still friends with her as we knew each other on and off growing up. I hope she is okay.

>>56375 Seeing as nobody is posting I will drop another comfy memory. This thread deserves a bump. This memory is also tied to my dad, but I am older. Only by two or so years. He was relatively laissez-faire when it came to allowing me to explore unsupervised compared to other authority figures I had lording over me at the time. He would play football on Sundays and sometimes I would come with him; not usually to watch but to explore the complex surrounding the pitch. When the weather was bad I would stay in the car and listen to random podcasts I had downloaded, which has led to a whole other string of comfy memories, but that isn't what is coming to mind right now. There was one occasion where we were in some southern London borough. Spring had just broken so the air was crisp and the sky seemed endless. This one pitch we had arrived at had an interesting pub attached to it. The whole structure had one floor but was unusually long and raised from the earth beneath. It had bay windows lining the wall facing the pitch with tables set up to allow for easy observation. My dad had given me money for a coke so I went in and took my seat next to the only other people in the bar. They didn't pay attention to me, and perhaps didn't notice me, because one of the two was relaying this strange story about his pervert neighbour. The turns it took were so bizarre and winding that it lasted the whole match and stayed interesting throughout. Afterwards the teams would come into the bar and I would once again be listening intently to catch snippets of weird conversations. It was so relaxing to be able to float around in these scenarios and not be expected to talk. My dad and I didn't talk much and his friends didn't really feel the need to engage me so I became some sort of invalid social actor. Nowadays you're expected to play the social game, which is something I have adapted to, but I miss being a ghost.

Not quite a memory, but the /tnev/ thread is gone. I went out on a date with a girl yesterday and it was a good time. I really liked her, she was really cute and really nerdy. And she wore a lace choker, which I'm a sucker for. We both freely acknowledged that it was a failure of a date because neither of us planned it well, but we got a second one lined up and I want to pull out all the stops. it was the day after the kids went home, the day before i left after working in the mountains for three months, no wifi, no service. i woke up in the morning to her banging down my door. i barely had time to throw on shoes before she dragged me outside and into the polaris, with her two big dogs in the back. we drove through the whole camp, past tents, cabins, the dining hall, the archery range, all the way out to the barn. her dogs lept out of the vehicle as it was moving and began running alongside us. the sun was still low in the sky. we drove past the barn, and the grass got taller. i knew we were going to pasture, i had walked there plenty of times, but i was still surprised when we were suddenly surrounded by horses. we got out, walked around, talked, i gave moon my goodbyes. i kissed the white spot on his head. and i only cried a little :)

I was incredibly active in the scouts from a young age. I had a father who was very active in my life and in his hierarchy of what a successful person was, one attribute was an eagle scout. 2010, the 100 year anniversary of boy scouts in the USA we attended a great gathering, or jamboree. He and I spent the great part of the day going from exhibit to exhibit learning about 1900's scouting skills like Morse code and leather tanning. In the evening a concert was held, the song "forever young" played while we held candles together. I soon entered high school after this, and while I have positive memories after of my father, I think this was the culmination of my youth and idealization of him of what it means to be a man.

>>59643 I see that you like the fact. Which means that you are a psychopath. You are probably Jewish or Germanic yourself. All I have to tell you is this: If any of the other races was able to understand the nature of your game (by some miracle), to realize in what way your game works, how your existence is detrimental to their well being, then they would rise up and wipe your kind out of the face of the planet. Now, you are right that they lack the cognitive and organizational capacity to do so, but that can change one day. The evolutionary pressures can push some of those races to evolve the needed cognitive capacity and then that is game over for your race. It doesn't even have to be the entire race who gains these cognitive abilities, all it takes is few individuals, few leaders willing to lead their people out of slavery, to set a goal to break free from your yoke, to fight for what is right. When that happens, then you are done for. And when your race is finally gone, then maybe this planet will finally know peace and justice.

Fall down? Get up. Feel tired? Push on a little bit more. Have an addiction? Try to limit it little by little. Don't like part of your personality or appearance? Change it. Got into debt? Find a fiscally responsible way to resolve it. Have a hard time? Learn from it so it doesn't happen again. Lost the "spark/joy of life"? Do something new and change your environment. All of these things have pushed me onwards to get into a financially stable life, with real friends around me which I help and they help me. Which I respect and they respect me. Love of my gf and family is immesurable, I will do anything for them. I praise God for this wonderful experience I am able to have. I thank God for every bad thing that happened to me. I lost my job on the beginning of pandemic. My "friends" used me. My family didn't respect me. My ex gf used me. I just go my way. I see these people look up my Linkedin every now and then, it pains them to see me succeed. I forgot their names, didn't even onew they existed until their names jumped up on "who looked your account". I will build my empire, fill it with people I hold dear, my success will pain them, they will try to bargain their way into my life, they already tried to. I create change I want to see in the world. I am the catalyst of the strong chemical reaction of this environment.

>>59651 What is weird about the whole experience is that I stopped feeling pain. Both emotional and physical pain feels like a mosquito bite to me now. I can't feel hot until I am literally burning up with sweat and heat, or burning my hand on a stove. I can't feel cold until I go out on balcony freshly showered in winter. My gf jokes about how I am always in my underwear around the house. I have started to search for pain, to seek it actively. Not self harm, but muscle aches and headaches are always welcomed. It scares me where it is supposed to push me, the absolute limits of my existence. To put my whole mind body and spul into something is a daunting task, not because I am afraid to lose myself but because I fear what kind of monster I might become in the process. I still cherish my humanity and manners. I don't want to become a savage.

But it isn't like The Dosadi Experiment, they aren't fitter nor better than their decadent "superiors", they're just "using" the natural rise and fall cycle of empires to simply exterminate those who did resist in the past. I quoted "using" because very few are orchestrating it consciously, which is why they can't be lauded, except the aforementioned exceptional leadership; the often described corrosive nature of the average Jewish community's acidic filth is what's very adept at damaging working societies, but what then? When the parasite kills its host, nobody "wins". So, even if might does makes right (though I prefer the saying "you don't win because you're strong, you're strong because you win"), the village idiot killing Heracles who just happen to have stumbled because his shoelace broke doesn't qualify as "evolutionary" in my books - it's not even cunning, it's pure opportunism via dumb luck - and shouldn't cause such rejoicement.

>>59680 >they're just "using" the natural rise and fall cycle of empires to simply exterminate those who did resist in the past. That's adaptation. If you're able to trace out and model natural processes and cycles, you can intervene, selectively amplify, hijack, whatever. Compare this to a fool broadcasting seed onto barren fields and yelling down a dried well, to the Roman empire building its aqueducts. Except it's a layer deeper, you understand that acqueducts were created because water is needed, and you figure out where the resource they;'re tapping came from, and take control of that fact. Then even if water would naturally flow here or there, you can create key chokepoints in natural systems and leverage, so they're all debts slaves and will take out loans and pay the compounding interest or else. And when one of them doesn't do what you want, you just call the debts on one of the others that you also by the balls, and set up some scenario where they fight each other. Which you also make money off of. And you get to have the most rock hard erection of your life watching everyone's life be edestroyed, people maimed and killed, and everything trashed because in the end it is domination, rape, violation, and degredation which gets you off. So that's a bonus to getting the stupid cattle nations to fight each other as you parasite, drain, and domesticate them bit by bit.

>>59697 That's what you are doing bro. You turned your victim inferiority complex inside out and now think you have to be one of the bullies that you despised during hoghschool. Jeez loueez

I guess some peoples' happy memories involve pissing matches with strangers on the internet.

>>59699 One of my happy memories involved a literal IRL pissing match. Not my kink, but it did feel warm.

I'm 29, I had given up all hope for love after many failed dates. But then, when I was least expecting it I found a cute girl. It's unbelievable how smooth things went so far, how natural everything feels. No anxieties, no pressure to perform or entertain. I have no words.

>>59599 you sound absolutely enamoured lainon. Best luck to you and the girl! >>59579 You reminded me of a drug experience I had in college. It was my first time smoking weed, and I went overboard on how much I smoked. At some point my drugged up brain was convinced I forgot how to breathe, which scared my friends. Asides from that though everything felt so surreal, it was a unique experience and one I'm glad I got.

>>59579 I have a similar memory. It wasn't my first time tripping, not even first time tripping with that person, but it was the best and last acid trip I think I've ever had. We went hiking on a really hot day, but we had plenty of water. Then we played frisbee and talked about life and soykaf. We both moved across the world after that but there is still a special connection

>>56359 >>56357 Not a church related memory, but something close enough: once when I was a kid, my family was picking up a Little Caesars pizza for some special occasion. My mother walked into the store while my father, siblings and I sat in the car. A homeless man who reaked of alcohol approach my dad's window and asked if he could spare some money. We were a poor family, but my father still gave the man a $20. When the man left, my dad, in a sincere tone, said, "hopefully there will be enough money leftover for some food after he buys another bottle of liquor." He then told us not to tell our mother about it, because she would be upset about him giving away so much money to a homeless drunk when we had so little, but that we'll survive without that $20 dollars and that the Bible says to give what you can to all those in need, not to give what's convenient to those in need who you judge as worthy of your help. My father was the type of Christian who read the Bible nearly every day and so he had read the Bible cover-to-cover many times. When I see Christians who've clearly never read the Bible using their religion to justify hate and greed, I contrast it with my father who, for the most part, was exceptionally kind, understanding, and giving. This is the memory that I come back to most often in such times. Although I'm not religious anymore, I still follow the example set in this memory when I can, and now when I give cash to homeless people, I think of this nice, happy memory of my father.
