Sex-coding regarding social roles left Aaron Swartz unprotected. Finally, a rape culture destroyed Jacob Appelbaum's every relationship. Nocturnal emissions give male-bodied people involuntary sexual experiences. Due to that, without good education on sexual health, male-bodied people very likely can end up believe that only unhealthy sexuality exists. Rather than explain the difference to Appelbaum and characterize Appelbaum as a rape victim, much in the way people like Emma Sulkowicz only learned what rape meant long after experiencing rape. Appelbaum created censorship-resistant tools which help enable xenofeminist publications. Appelbaum had a social and technical leadership role, helping to build both internet society and internet infrastructure. Those three tragedies felt like betrayals. Both Julian Assange and Aaron Swartz received criticism for having romantic partners that they seemed to overshadow, recalling Zelda Fitzgerald. Julian responded by claiming that having a renown reputation, made the fellow more difficult to assassinate. People speculated that Julian tried to deceive a partner into having a child, because having a child might also make Assange more difficult to assassinate. the reality that the first lesbian world leader had not used military force to protect the journalist who brought them to power, served the validate the public perception that lesbians want all men to die. how will you remember ^ these ^ tragedies ? what morals will you take from them ?

Why are you both clueless? gamergate started with a indie gamedev whore who slept with journos for positive reviews which would be fine and kinda natural given poor indie status on its own (no $ to bribe regularly) but she managed to catch a STD and give it to her BF who raged about it online which exposed the whole situation to a lot of unwanted attention. But did that warrant such a massive backlash? No, it was because the neckbeards got too greedy and dug too deep which awoke a much bigger enemy. Who didn't know already about jornos getting bribed? That was no reason for such a massive storm. What they found was larger institutions engaging in research on behaviour modification using games. That was the real story and thats something that unlike a indie nobody has sufficient resources to create and bury the real story behind a media outrage. ========================= As for aaron - he got smacked by feds for copying public information straight from the physical server illegally. They prepped a cam in the server room and slammed him when he did it again. His argument was simple - everything on said server was already paid by our taxes, why should we pay again for access? Of course it was incredible naive to think he would get away with it.

The Gamergate retards would have won if they were any good at covert ops and sabotage. But instead they just decided to SEND MOAR EMAILS which... what, accelerated the death of a couple gaming sites by a month or two? All they had to do was beat their opponents at their false-flagging game. Which I guess they had a disadvantage at, seeing as making a good sockpuppet on social media takes time and effort, whereas the anonymity of imageboards makes infiltration a piece of cake. But that doesn't mean I don't hate the anti-GG side more. They were the ones who created this nazi boogeyman that the media uses to this day. It's funny, because when they talk about how Gamergate was the root of (far-right scapegoat here), they're half-correct. What they don't mention is that it's because of their own actions, or that of their buddies.
