Millennia ago, the wisest men on earth from the first civilisation of the earth( basically the Hindus) figured it all out. That life has absolutely no meaning or it is beyond their comprehension, so they made religion which is the longest roleplay ever. Just so people don't go into an existential crisis and humanity collapses. Humans should reproduce, survive and biologically evolve to a point where they can comprehend the meaning of life but it is probably be nothing and when that is realised we will cease to exist.

My opinion that trying to dissasociate yourself from current life and its hardships will not get you anywhere good

"I need someone to tell me what to do with my time" is the disease in itself.

I found out recently that I'm strongly inline with the concept of the Amor Fati Nietzsche created. It gives me all the meaning of life that I need. I won't spoone feed you more so if your interested you can read about it.

>>51761 "Good" is intrinsically linked to your association to current life and it's hardships. Is what they'd say anyway.

>>51834 >OP has figured it all out based on the elders who figured it all out, and now he is trying to help us figure it all out, hence the only serious discussions here >>51761 Highly relative. Good and evil are vastly western terms. I would prefer the terms detrimental to the self, or beneficial to the self. Disassociation is not inherently detrimental. It can be an enlightening and introspective process. It can also induce extreme existential anguish. Being a neet fuarrrk who spends all his time consooming escapism is not the same as introspection if that is what you mean. >>51827 Meh, Ive felt for a long time that Jung > Nietsche I think that humans give life meaning. For all other entities, there is merely existence or nonexistence. Humans define morality in context of their current status and society. Violence is seen as wrong because society calls it wrong. Violence is a part of life (birds of prey must kill rodents to survive).Modern Humans see necessary death as wrong, and as a consequence, see the use of tools of violence as wrong. Thus guns are evil. This is a result of society. Anybody can tell you what you NEED to do, but you have the freedom of choice to decide what you WANT to do. Morality also changes from self interest to altruism. Maturity factors heavily into morality. Children obey to avoid punishment, adults work together to support a larger system. Religion is the opioid of the masses and whatnot... Thats like just your opinion maaaaan

If they figured out life has no meaning then why did they try to keep the house of cards from falling down? Why didn't they just become like the ascetics and reject material reality altogether? Implicit in intentionally striving towards something is that there is a purpose to it. Generally when people act without any purpose it is also without intention. Even zazen monks act with a purpose, although clearly not one easy to describe to outsiders.
