>due to ahem - country closing down for my safety - prices here are driven up about 40% in less than a year and wages went up about 1.5%
Burgers are printing money to "save" (purge) their sinking economy and because the dollar is a global standard, everything worldwide gets more expensive as well.
Stonks also have been sinking recently so we're likely heading towards a global crisis and inflation.
>so now that we are getting more and more onto the green energy - read - buying chink soykaf panels and batteries that are not worth soykaf, how much will energy cost in 10 years? 10x amount? to save the planet? for my safety right?
There's energy crisis in China and UK right now because the prices of fossil fuels are surging. China had to ban bitcoin mining and they're also turning off some of their factories to save energy.
You can either invest in renewables now or die later.
You're also underestimating the scale of the changes human activity induced in the climate, something needs to be done or else we're all dying.
>you glitterboys
Who exactly are you calling a glitterboy? People reading your post or your government?
Also https://lainchan.org/rules.html
>government unironically ruined 2 years of my life and youth, for my safety
They surely did. Governments don't care for people or the climate change or anything. Switching to "green energy" is just a pretext to mask their incompetence.
What governments do right now is waiting till the very end and when the ecosystem actually collapses, they will blame someone else, e.g. "It was all China's fault".
Hououin Kyouma · 2021-10-06 14:44
>how much will energy cost in 10 years? 10x amount?
No. I don't know where you live but generally most of what you pay for energy in the developed world is tax. Fuel (oil/natural gas/coal) maintenance, transmission costs and so on are a fraction of the energy price. Energy prices will never get to the point where they diminish the economic growth or tax revenue much less cause civil unrest - the taxes on energy will be lowered long before that. The source of energy is in reality completely irrelevant to you, the price of energy is driven by taxation first and foremost.
Faye Valentine · 2021-10-06 15:20
France is currently capping energy cost by using tax money to stall inflation. China has power outtages but supposedly only cause they stopped buying aussie coal.

> it is literally impossible to run out of it within our lifetimes, anyone believing this nonsense is illiterate idiot
No one believes that. The issue is once you use lot of fossil fuels you get warming of the globe, which melts ice that reflects the sun, so it'll warm faster and faster, so you'll end up with cities being flooded and ecosystems dying. And I can tell you, you prefer paying a bit more than not being able to pay at all cause everything in your town is flooded and there's not even enough animals to hunt if you want to larp as an anprim to feed people.
If you actually worry about that though, instead of just being mad that "boo hoo, I can't pay for my newest iphone", go think up a plan that actually works and how to get wheels moving to get something done about the energy crisis globally. I can say thought that starting to think and write unlike a complete schizo is a good starting point.

>what you are writing is literal nonsense, do you not comprehend how much coal and oil and gas in this world?
There's coal for 150 years and gas for much more, but oil is estimated to last only for 40 more years.
Oil is going to get more and more expensive to the point it isn't affordable to use and is going to be replaced.
Also I haven't said fossil fuels are running out, I said the prices are surging.
>it is literally impossible to run out of it within our lifetimes
Yeah, we will die faster if the ecosystem collapses first.
The good thing is that biodiversity will fully recover 10 million years after the mass extinction we're about to cause.

This is not the behavior of a world order that has another hundred years left on the odometer. But don't expect some kind of Ted Kaczynski/Mad Max collapse where we return to survival of the fittest. The reason the kleptocrats are hoarding hundreds of billions of dollars more than they could ever spend right now is because they intend to buy the only thing that costs that much money—the future.
They want to get in at the ground level for the next world order, which is obviously coming. None of this stuff is gonna work much longer, something's got to give. People who think that's hyperbolic have a conception of history from nothing but their own lifespans. You say all that in a quite cryptic manner.
If the climate change is as bad as scientists declare (and it is quite bad judging by the changes I see outside of my window), then I'm not sure governments and civilization will last much longer.
Humans are going to survive, maybe civilization, but the world is going to change drastically and 90% of the world population will likely perish.
B**mers ruling over the USA and other major countries are going to be long dead while I and future generations will struggle to survive.

Scientists are part of the power structure. Academy is a major part of the cathedral, along with media and finance. They do as they are told, and indeed there is institutional decline for decades now and no truly groundbreaking science has been done for a generation. If they are freaking out about climate, then be sure that it is because the elites are freaking out about climate. And not because of their good-natured hearts. Because of their interests.
It would be a good thing if all the coastal cities flooded (again). That's how David beats Goliath. You and I will have to struggle either way
You say the disaster is not their problem, but they would not be blaring klaxons in their media 24/7 if it was merely our problem. It is their problem. And that should mean something to us.
USA is overdue for a collapse, but the same people will be at the center of the next big thing. Make no mistake, this is still Rome. We live in Babylon. Always have.

Nuclear requires vast amounts of rare earth minerals to build, costs a fuarrrk ton to construct the facilities, and then has to be decommissioned every so and so years and new one built and it cant be built on same spot. It's not possible for nuclear power to be used for all power. Solar uses plastic which is made from petroleum which is likely why it's pushed is because it doesn't impact the fossil fuel industry.
Ishikura "Tatsu" Tatsuhiko · 2021-10-06 22:07

Don't look up what's in those panels (other than plastic) or the fancy rotors in wind farms. Or what's necessary for the vast battery banks needed to make it reliable. Or the permanent magnets. List goes on.
Nuclear is the answer, we aren't using the same first gen reactors anymore. It could do just fine for thousands of years, and solar/wind is a straight-up con. Can't work without pumping more cobalt and other awful things out of the ground than we have.

Is this some kind of a Ted Kaczynski way to decline all evidence supporting a claim? Maybe that's how burger science works but here at my institute scientists work for 1000$ per month and do it because they value truth and knowledge, not money.
>They do as they are told, and indeed there is institutional decline for decades now and no truly groundbreaking science has been done for a generation. If they are freaking out about climate, then be sure that it is because the elites are freaking out about climate.
Biodiversity decline, urbanisation, deforestation, invasive species, mass extinction, desertification, forest fires, droughts, oil spills and ozone hole to name just a few.
You can't see them only if you close your eyes or lack the knowledge to comprehend what you see.
Human activity is destructive, yet every politician cares only about money and "economic growth".
Politicians are so greedy, they will even try to profit from a global catastrophe - "climate tax" or rich climate change denialists such as Trump are examples of the same thing but different execution.

Science is a sacred cow right now. But that's a bunch of horse manure. Science is real good for tuning a carburetor, but it's absolutely terrible for predicting the future of an entire planet or forming decisions for public policy. Fair enough. Know that in one world, the people who have it good and are thus attached to this mode of society—they are greatly concerned about this coming environmental shift. The corporate and state elites are part of that, which is why they constantly fund NGOs and media blitzes about it. You're wrong when you say they trivialize it. They see that this threatens hegemony.
For most people, this moment represents a once-in-a-thousand-year opportunity to finally shove a knife between their ribs. Most of the world will be fine, climate has shifted before and the people who ignore this stuff know how to farm and hunt and build a cabin. It'll be hard and most will die on all sides, but one faction is currently at the end of their rope anyway with nothing to lose. People who sit around in big, energy-hungry cities scolding about the environment are fed by the former group. Understand that the goals are not the same for everyone—we are not all in this together. The climate situation is real and a lot of people think it's a common cause, but the people who are under a boot and willing to pull down the pillars of this whole temple disagree. It's not quite everyone's survivability at stake, or at least it's not evenly distributed. The urban people are in real trouble, while the rest of us will fall back on a system that has been durable for 200,000 years. It's our only chance to finally get rid of those fuсkers—including, of course, this problem that they themselves caused through industrialization.

>Trivializes and mocks real and accelerating material austerity, talks about affording iphones when people are being mass evicted and food prices have doubled
The thing is that has nothing to do with climate change. These things happened for decades by now to groups around the world. And the inflation you see has nothing to do with climate change (or printing of money for that matter). After all, if someone influencial decided for some union/country wide green transition in EU or US, you could create countless jobs with a snap of a finger since nuclear reactors have to be build, solar farms have to be layed down, and dams to hold the rising water have to be build. You don't have inflations in economies that operate on full capacity and need people from different backgrounds. Maybe the inflation really is from the fact that the economy stands still for 2 years while select few speculate on the stock market about it.
>Tells random people to figure out how to solve the global energy problem, basically an NGO strategy that shifts responsibility from the powerful to the powerless
Their strategy is to make you buy green products. I'm not saying you should do that. I'm saying that the so called powerful get their power from the belief of the powerless. And as someone who is powerless I have no clue why would I even care about doing something about it with people who go on a maniac incoherent rage about this. This isn't stable grounds on which you build some real meaningful change. This is just a vent post, close to being noise without signal, which only thing it accomplishes is just spread the noise further. You don't impress girls with bad breath in the same way you don't convey your thoughts in a incoherent ramble.
>Parrots trite, extremely basic points about climate change, as if the proselytes of climate change actually care about the environment and not screwing us to line their wallets
Yeah, I care about having clean air to breathe. For people and animals to not be burned to a crisp in forest fires. And again for both people and animals not to experience massive food shortages. I can say this is not only because it's something that I wouldn't like to experience, but also just plain old empathy. I can see myself in someone eyes and understand their pain. I don't need to bring massive amount of cynicism into this.
>i do not give a soykaf about planet just like this planet does not give a soykaf about me, i just want to live life and be left alone , that simple, and i am quite sure, many, many, majority of people want the same that i want, if doom is the future so may it be but to sell me bullshit how i need to save the planet is some kindergarden logic, planet needs no saving

What is in solar panels and batteries pales in comparison to resources needed for nuclear reactors and their radiation shielding. There isn't enough on the entire planet for nuclear even just for now. Plus you have nuclear waste to deal with which is a huge hazard that has to be transported. Efficiency isnt everything there just is too many problems with nuclear that wont go away with new tech. There are newer batteries that don't use mined rare earth minerals at all and batteries that have a much longer lifespan than older types which includes graphene batteries which is something bacteria can be used to manufacture the material for. Future isnt all nuclear it's bioengineering and more energy efficient devices and less resource intensive power sources.

History is full of rapid collapses of civilization but I think it's very rare for people to successfully survive that collapse purely because they have a lot of resources.
Billionaires are dependent on the system for their survival... they sit on top of the pyramid and when the pyramid falls they fall the farthest. Sure they can try to hole up in a fortress with their cronies but they'll just rot there while warlords build up power and establish a new order outside, eventually taking those fortresses a few generations later. The tech differences between them and the rest of the world aren't big enough for a Zardoz-like scenario.
I think that's why so many of them these days try to take ayahuasca or colonize mars or whatever. They want desperately to transcend because they know they have entered themselves into a no-win situation.

Yeah if they take the modern family away you people are not going to get some kind of advanced, egalitarian multi-generational improvement. You are going straight back into the tenements. That is how a factory-working family lived. Every country will be one big coast-to-coast favela. You'll turn into the Borg, not the Federation. It won't be fully automated luxury gay space communism, it will be fully automated austerity gay favela communism. The robots will still rob you and you'll still be psyopped into having a negative birth rate, but you won't get anything good out of it.

Because we have to lower the taxes placed on corporations so they stop being communist and start praising jesus again.

>quite literally true
it was not literally true. it was making them hermaphroditic, even going so far as to change their sex. but why didnt alex jones say that? if he wanted people to understand the danger, why didnt he tell them what was actually going on? this sort of misrepresentation is exactly why alex jones is mocked. his audience cares more about feeling like they have some privileged knowledge than actually seeking the truth, and so this is exactly what he gives them. it's a pageant which is only tolerated to the extent that it keeps a potentially troublesome aspect of society occupied and out of the way. if its more than that, then why did he lie? could it be because he's a mere entertainer, and "the frogs are gay" has more entertainment value than "the frogs have decreased sexual dimorphism"?

Isn't intersex part of LGBTQ+? lol
Nitpicks don't really avoid the fact that we're being flooded with xenoestrogens and plastics, birth control and bizarre chemicals. And that there just happens to be a very strong-arm agenda towards gender and sexuality ideologies that weren't here just a short while ago. Not in this form.

Capital adopted all this cultural justice project fake op nonsense because capital developed all of it in the first place to divide us up, sap our strength as a people, and screw us out of our wealth. It wasn't appropriated, it came out of their elite universities to begin with.
All these programs that are ostensibly for civil rights and human dignity—they are not. This is like Tom Sawyer tricking the neighborhood into painting the fence for him. And they can do it because people always fall for it.

Care to provide a quick recap of how that happened? I'm really interested what you think the histories of the gay rights and socialists movements are.

What is it you people like to say? That it isn't my job to educate you?
Gay rights and socialist movements existed for a long time, but the current emanations are very much academic and custom-tuned to be amenable to elite control structures. They are commodities. There's a few examples of major figures and programs in the ivy league since around the 1960s onward, but honestly you don't need a weatherman to tell you which way the wind is blowing. We can all see where this stuff is flowing from. This new hyper-ideology. It's coming from universities. Think tanks. Corporate boards. NGOs. Hip activist politicians who are very obvious plants. It ain't organic. It's not coming from some trailer park or elementary school playground or art collective somewhere. It's coming directly from the educational system and it's spreading to other countries, plus working its way down to lower and lower grade levels. Came from the grad school, then you had to get it for a bachelor's degree, in high school, now in primary school. We didn't teach them, they taught us.

I just saw the idiot on the front page without context. Now that I see the context, I don't care to answer further, because he obviously either trolling or legitimately retarded. In either case, a lost cause.

and i bet you think that those two things are related. you probably cant tell me why you think this, but im sure you can gesture at the air around you and say "just look at it". go ahead, you might as well try. when people do that to you, im sure you find it very compelling. maybe ill play along with the little identity game you love so much, where we pretend to be looking for truth.

COVID has caused the greatest transfer of wealth from the working class to the elite class in all of history.
You should consider this before you blame the government. Actually go ahead and blame the government. They're in on it too.
You will never know prosperity, you have had your entire future stolen from you and you're blaming exactly what they want you to blame. You're not blaming the corporations for rapidly shrinking wages and persistently declining working conditions. You're not blaming the people exploiting you. You're not blaming the parties that divide your class along superficial cultural issues. No, you're blaming the a panel of scientists, telling you that we're fuarrrked.
If you want to retreat into your "everything will be fine if everything just stays the same" shell of hopeless optimism you're free to do so. But please don't post your soykafty opinions for everyone else to see.

I think that everything you depended on the state to do for you has to be returned to your own authority. If you want water build a well and if you want power train an oxen and if you want food grow your own. I do understand it to be a return to feudalism and in many cases an over-regulated impossibility. I just don't see a n alternative way out. If you want to talk revolutionary politics, all of these resources the state will try to deny you from the outset. You must reliably have your own
