A friend of mine is suffering a lot and i don't know what to do
The Phantom Phreak · 2021-09-29 22:14
She was abused as a chill and developed a complex stage of DID.
A brief explanation of what happens inside her head is that she has various manifestations of her own mental functioning (she has 7 different personalities with 2 persecutory alters) and they interact between them and she changes the "control" from one to another. Another characteristic is that she don't share memories with these personalities.
Well, the "host" still telling me that she is going to kill herself, that she is keeping herself alive for their friends but that she hate her own life.
Im feeling anxious and sad about this situation, i love her, but i live so far way from so i cannot help a lot; and her parents truly suck, her mother is traumatized and tell that her condition is "normal", and her father is very choleric and strict, they won't help her.
I started reading more about DID, Depression, psychology; but i don't really know what to do, i just know that im going to do whatever it is on my own hands to visit her on Christmas.
She's literally an angel, i dont know why the world is that cruel sometimes.
I would like her to reach happines

>i don't know what to do
I don't know either, the situation sounds tough could be unfixable.
Her condition requires professional help and you can't do much but for supporting her.
>i dont know why the world is that cruel sometimes.
People have different explanations for that, my explanation is that the world is chaotic and humans don't play the main role in it, but you can believe in whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Also just a question: have you ever met before? There are plenty attention-seeking people out there who lie in order to accomplish their goals.
So keep that in your mind somewhere if you haven't met yet.

>She was abused as a chill and developed a complex stage of DID.
>Well, the "host" still telling me that she is going to kill herself
>DID, Depression
>she is keeping herself alive for their friends but that she hate her own life.
DID isn't a real mental disorder, it's a completely theoretical disorder in certain schools of Psychology, schools which focus on "developmental stages", and someone "becoming stuck in a developmental stage". People historically only had one or two alters as well, not an upwards of 7 or 20 or whatever.
By what you're typing here, it seems that she has some kind of attention seeking behaviour. Saying that she will commit suicide if her friends leave her, talking about "traumas" to emotionally burden the people around her. Speaking unproveable ills of her parents to emotionally burden people around her...
She needs to get help for her attention seeking behaviour, emotional manipulation, and malingering. If she says something like "my counsellor says my DID is true" (if she is actually 'diagnosed') it's because it's easier to affirm the attention seeking behaviour of these kinds of people than to tell them the truth, as it causes rage and the patient seeks to destroy the therapist in some way.
All I can say is if you get into an argument with her, and she "overdoses" on advil or allergy pills, run away and don't look back.

>She needs to get help for her attention seeking behaviour
No no no, she's not malingering or something (im the author of the post but im tyiping from another device), she has been hiding this untill thw last week, that's why im venting here, i am one of the person that she trusts the most
What she told me was that she "will dissapear to not harm their friends when she have commited her suicide the next year", bur i know all of these because she had to cofess everything after i told her that i thought that she was "unhappy" ans she "changed a lot her personality" (i thought that she had borderline at first).
It's my fault, i've ommited a lot of informatio (+ the language barrier)

Im not a psychiatrist but i saw a patron in her alters, they are like "defense mechanism"
For example:
Host or Alter: The host, she has been represed for years, is the emotional one, but she was dissapeared until now (she has been taking control for a year now) she even thought that she was an alter
Alter 1: She's hiperactive, she takes action and doesn't let other decide for her, she's impulsive sometimes and doesn't want to show her weanesses
Alter 2: she's literally a robot, she took all the activities that her family, friends and school required from her. She has no emotion
Alter 3: she's the social one, she's friendly and she like's to make new frienda and to connect with others.
Alter 4: She's a teacher, she helps people in an unpersonal way, she's a sub-product of alter 2 that likez to adquire knowledge, she have 47 years old
Persecutory alters
Alter 5: a dark empath that thinks that thw world is a bad place so takes advantage
A6: i don't want to talk about this alter, i mean, is the most traumatic one but she can control this alter easily
Honestly, if she is lying her acting is flawless, she told me all her stoey and kinda makes sense with DID, she dissasociate aspects of her personality and , just because their parents is like kicking dead whales down the beach, she couldn't fix it
Ah, she apologise her parents (the host), but for the things that she told me i hate them, she feel guilty about their unhappiness (they are unhappy as well)

>attention seeking behavior
99% of people who seek attention .
NEED ATTENTION
same with calling folks narcissistic ,
just a victim blaming behavior .
Void · 2021-09-30 07:18
in my experience , headmates most often need more representation in reality
I haven't intimately observed anyone's growth in that regard
but I believe that would include for example
separating possessions or wearing separate motifs
establishing separate relationships with secure boundaries
( "I won't talk to your friend and you won't to mine" etc )
I have no idea the specifics of the problem
but simple things can greatly increase quality of life

that sounds like it would greatly complicate life

>NEED ATTENTION
People who actually need a "healthy" amount of attention don't threaten suicide, and do not malinger mental disorders.

she needs to leave and live someplace rural .
city life isn't for inexperienced plural systems .
