Where do Lainons get their news from?
Faye Valentine · 2021-09-28 00:16
In theory, I get my Updates on the Weltgeschehen more or less through a sort of hermeneutic Titration of what I hear People talk about in the streets and bars (and interwebs), an assortment of Global-pull news websites from different sectors (i. E. Al Jazeera, BBC, RT, Euronews...) local papers and some more radical and extreme magazines and opinion pieces, just to account for the outliers.
But in reality this process is so tremendously exhausting that I've gradually fallen out of the loop throughout the last couple years.
Wikipedia seemed suitable for old news s long time, but I'm getting more aware of their own filter bubbles.
So how do you guys stay up to date?
Do you do so at all? If no then why?
If you do, which topics do you think are the most relevant to get a bird's eye view of the state of the world? Any secret tips?
(i. E. "I think following coffee trade gives some very interesting oft overlooked insights on the market" or some soykaf like that)
Give me recommendations for platforms that are predominantly impartial and matter-of-factly, if any of those even ever existed beyond the realm of the purely theoretical.
Don't get me wrong, I've come to terms with the fact that everything these days needs to be read between the lines and filtered for ideology, but there have to be SOME bastions of objectivity out there, right?...
... Right? :(

media is all propaganda.
that's how it gets its funding.
there is no news source that isn't straight up lies.

Well that's kinda what I've been doing, and all it did was leave me sullen, uninformed and sort of incapable of logically expounding upon where that bitterness comes from, which makes me no better than the screaming ideologues and demagogues of all camps presently having their stranglehold on the flow of public information. A standard that I precisely try to emancipate myself from.

I'll normally just hear people mention it either by eavesdropping a conversation about the news or reading on social media and then I do a search about it and read from some big digital newspaper that has credibility what's going on. It's not immune to propaganda nor trying to be, there's no such thing as unbiased news anyway, it's all about perceptions.
My tip is don't stress, if something important happens it'll be impossible to not know or hear about it unless you're in extreme isolation.

Not really. I guess I just don't place much value on being informed any more. When I have the energy to learn things about the world I focus on esoteric studies. I want to grok, not just be informed.

I get most of my news from the politically incorrect board on 4ch, I don't even visit it for that reason but I read a couple of headlines here and there. I don't quite "keep up with the times" unless there's some good reason to do it, being concerned about things you have no control over is fake and gay.

The only US-based main-stream source I bother to watch is PBS.
They’re the only American news organization that’s legally required to be unbiased since they receive government funding.

OP here.
What about Pro-Status Quo/Anti-Status Quo Bias? Present Day, Present Time! AHAHAHAHAHA!
Anyway, thanks for the responses so far. I'm mildly surprised :)
I also think that newspapers are not that much of a bad idea. The writers (USUALLY) underwent some formal journalistic training, and since the cadence of Newspaper releases is a couple steps down from the ADHD pace of the digital landscape pooptsunami, plus their weirdly stable userbase, the propagandistic motives seem generally a bit more toned down to me. Still glaringly obvious but in a.... Palatable way.
This prompts me to ask Murrrica-Based Lainons:
What do you illustrous people think of the Wall Street Jornal?

> What about Pro-Status Quo/Anti-Status Quo Bias? Present Day, Present Time! AHAHAHAHAHA!
This one is a little hard to judge because PBS and NPR don’t editorialize often.
They read a story, move on, read a story, move on, read a story, move on.
You won’t often hear the opinions of the reporter, you’ll just hear fact after fact.
So any pro/anti-status quo bias they do introduce will be from failure to mention certain facts, or skipping a story entirely.
If I had to pick, I’d say they have a pro-status quo bias.
By the way, as far as newspapers are concerned, you might as well stick with the bigger ones like WSJ or USA Today. Most of the local newspapers have dropped almost all their staff and are now filling most of the paper with articles copied from Reuters, AP, or USA Today.
New York Times has a strong left bias, I don’t know about the others.

I regularly listen to NPR, they have a lot of good content. They have decent a mix of local, national and world coverage as well. There's definitely a left lean in some of their work but I find their news coverage is about as unbiased as you could hope for nowadays. The local programming they host is absolutely biased though based on the politics of your state, but it's typically limited to those segments.

>New York Times has a strong left bias, I don’t know about the others.
Haha no. They have a strong DNC bias, not a left one. Just like the DNC and GOP, they're classic liberals (in the strict economic sense of the word, not the weird-ass incorrect AM radio-show sense) to their core. There's nothing remotely "left" about the NY Times. A real left-wing news outlet would be something like Jacobin or CounterPunch - loud and proud opponents of capitalism.
The only real differences between so-called "left" US mainstream media and so-called "right" US mainstream media is in how much they tolerate the existence of people who aren't straight christians. They all take defense-industry ad cash, they all toe the line for Wall Street, they all vigorously support every stupid war that the US blunders itself into, they all incoherently scream their heads off about imaginary foreign influences (Russia for the DNC and China for the GOP), and they all heap shame and scorn on the working poor.

News are mostly predigested propaganda with facts used as they please or just downright lying pretty well written and articulated in such a way as to tell you what to think.
I dont read any news, usually i hear what interests me from sources or get random links in chat, which i sometimes look at or just come across browsing.
Dont know it this counts as news, but i tend to check out ufocasebook.com, theres interesting pictures coming weekly, as technology gets better the quality is also better than those black and white saucer images.
Guess its not really news, but its up to date information on things that happen, alien or not.

There's a reason that I and others like me on the actual left need to be pedantic smartasses. Those of us with a laser focus on class issues and labor rights are well and truly sick of being lumped in with the Wall Street puppets running the DNC, or the anti-free-speech idpol bluehair SJW assholes who preen and lecture on twitter in a masturbatory ego trip, or the entertainment industry predators whose only connection to the working class is when they have one of them trapped on a casting couch. We just want to drain the swamp with machine guns and guillotines.
It's a lot like how many who describe themselves as "right" or "conservative" are frustrated with being lumped in with the Wall Street puppets running the GOP, or the bible-thumping religious maniacs who preach for holy wars, or the talk-show grifters who sell quack remedies to their working-poor audiences while living lavishly for themselves. A lot of those who describe themselves as "right" are just looking for an independent life with some job security and personal freedoms. We got some common cause on that. The ruling class doesn't want that common cause becoming the norm. They want us divided so we're not fighting them.

I knew I wasn't alone. When something happen, the news will tell you half of the facts and change the context. With uncle Paul, you will talk with somebody who was here, you will have a network of thousands of autists scanning social media to dig intel on the perp, you have old guys resurfacing 20 year old stories that were similar and the optional insider that may or may not be a poser.
I knew about the virus in December 19. I bought N95 before the Chineses expats bought them all to send them to China and the press said it was a lie, they don't do that, it's just a flu and we must keep our borders open.
The BLM protests are a prime example of corporate manipulation of the news, this level of propaganda was unseen since the WMD in Iraq. Not even the orange man bad 4 years propaganda have reached this level.
Look at the vaccine, if the journos were a clique who took their orders from a conspiracy group made of big pharmas and corporate eggheads, they would do exactly what they are doing right now.
Want to know what is climate change and how to slow it? Won't get that on the news.
Want to know how much inflation we got from printing trillions? Won't get that on the news.
Want to know what Putin is doing, his links with Turkey, I ran and China? Not on the news.
The news are political and economic propaganda and only people are reliable. The human network is how we got news before and it's the only way we can get news now, but the algorithms of FB, Twitter and others hide wrongthink and even Reddit is plagued by downvotes, shadow banning and mods who don't do it fore free at all.

Ive never watched or read news of any sort, i got my info from people and places that i keep tabs on that interest me, if something concerns me i will know it.
The interesting people will know and tell, with the right connections you will always get the real info.
Newspapers and tv broadcasters have always only told predigested, pretty painted and watered down information, which they arrange in whatever ways fits them, then present their "own" "views" and "conclusions" as facts
Though its clear as day, despite the usually overcomplex and lengthy turd they soykaf out their mouths, that they tell you what you are supposed to think and not give you any of the info that is important.
They make no effort to hide that they are not there to inform or educate, but to push a narrative packaged in a halfway entertaining fashion.
Yet any person who is halfway capable of adding one and one can see trough the lies and actually draw somewhat proper conclusions than the horseshit packaged as outcome which is always totally divorced from reality completely idiotic.
What is even worse imo is that most newspapers write total bullcrap and i dont mean to say lies and propaganda, what i mean is brainless moronic empty words that are used to fill pages with no news at all or anything that even remotely resembles any information.
If they just typed out random emojis and printed them atleast some novelty entertaining stuff might come out eventually, but with newspapers(physical ones in particular), you can be almost absolutely certain that everything will be written in the dumbest most boring uninforming way possible only to keep those idiots who supposedly pass as writers their jobs and so more paper can fill up the drains.
Even childrens drawings are more informing than news papers, atleast children try to bring across something they know or feel novel to them and express it, with newspapers you cant even wipe your ass, forget about getting anything out the alphabet soup that passes for language.

I remember they dug up a lot on COVID in 2019, and people kept trying to figure out my sources when I was telling them about all these new developments.
>Want to know what is climate change and how to slow it? Won't get that on the news.
In the last 15 years, I remember seeing only 1 news story up until the idea became co-opted to try to sell more electric vehicles and alternative energy stonks. That was with watching the news daily for soykaf to talk about at work.
Want to know how much inflation we got from printing trillions? Won't get that on the news.
Who cares, there is a supply chain shortage, heres how you can get the latest (consumer item) near you. Because the news today is for advertising.
>Want to know what Putin is doing, his links with Turkey, I ran and China? Not on the news.
I used to go to some obscure first hand sites and translate the articles where I could. It makes you go down some rabbit holes. I actually started to get upset for a while when I would hear a news report that was blatantly false. One thing that I find interesting is that news is "a random speakers take on the news" and not "known and verifiable facts." The entire field has gone from fact reporting with what is known (or even what claims to be known like propaganda). Facts are opinions now. That's how university papers work too.

At every election uncle Paul become less and less usable. We used to have the redditors, then we had CTR and shareblue, now we have so much spam and bait that I refuse to believe it's human generated. It look like a jam.
There is a good way to know of someone care about the environment or the sound of his voice: the N word.
If someone don't mention nuclear energy, they don't care about the great freeze, global warming or whatever it is called this decade.
There is no supply chain shortage. There is a decrease in the value of the money, and that mean the silicate waffle that you bought for 10k should now be sold for 12 ou 14k. Economic actors haven't digested that fact yet and providers can't make the item for a quantity of money that is lower than before.
It is true journos now just repost what they see on Twitter. They must be the first to get the story. It's a market and the early bird get the worm. So they don't check anything now, they just repost it.
Putin send a lot of troop to the Ukrainian border? Forget the fact that he has done that for 10 years, he want to invade.

First, there is old timers who grew up in a different world. Back then they had journalists. Back then if the radio, newspaper or TV said something it was true. It was not even imaginable to see them lie, at worse they could do a mistake and send a mea culpa. They still do the same thing and their brain don't even consider the possibility of a conflict of interest. It's on TV, it's true.
Then there is the consumerists who really come to be diverted, to be thrilled and to get their daily dose of outrage. They go for the sensationalist press and call it a day.
For the majority of the people, you must remember they don't care.
The ones who already have been told that the moral highground is to be a rebel who want exactly the same thing as the corpos, they get a confirmation bias. The others get misdirected and they have no way to tell. See, the only intels they have come from a small number of economic group and social medias whose owners and executive happen to have a common cause.
This is where we have a problem: if it is possible to control all the information input someone, or a population get, then it don't matter how intelligent or wise they are, they will conclude what you want them to conclude and they will think it's their own opinions. They will spend hours listening to 20 different employees of the same 5 guys and see themselves as well informed free thinkers.

Personally, I think there's nothing wrong with propaganda. Propaganda is merely a form of education, even if it may be used to manipulate people. But it's better to have a biased and filtered opinion than look dumb when a topic comes up and you've only heard scraps of the news.
Other than that I also subscribe to some local news outlets and non-politics related things.

I, personally, tend to view people who just repeat what they have read on biased medias as much more dumb-looking compared to people who are not afraid to state that they don't know much about the subject.
When you ask those people to elaborate, they will jump from topic to topic without explaining correctly why they think what they think.
I don't get why people always wants to act like they know everything and already saw everything in life. You look way more dumb, in my opinion, if you act like this instead of telling you're not confortable speaking about a specific subject you don't know about/don't have the capacity to actually understand it.
It's ok to be clueless. Nobody knows everything in life, you are better on some topics, others are better on other topics, that's life.
Acting like a know-it-all makes you look dumb most of the time, because it's obvious you're just repeating the words of others without understanding it.
Remember the COVID thread on Lainchan that got deleted today? OP was spitting 'facts' after 'facts' without even trying to understand, people were pointing out his obvious lies he copy-pasted from random websites.
When people pointed it out, he just jumped on another topic and so on.
It was funny because I have a friend who don't believe in the vaccine and he says the EXACT same bullshit, because they just read the same articles.
Am I the only one who thinks social media algorithms ruined every communities on the Internets? Algorithms pushed us to inside c*rclejerks and now people act like their opinion is the only one valid and will not even listen to other people. They are just repeating stuffs now.
I know the web was kinda soykafty back in the days, It took me fuarrrking minutes to display big images, but at least people weren't so confident about their opinion and we were actually debating, not just fighting without listening.

article is trash, its redditor science knowledge.
For example
>He has supported the scientifically discredited view that vaccines cause autism and has claimed that antibiotics are of therapeutic value in the treatment of autism
Is typical normal person knowledge, there is a publication that a specific bacterial infection causes autism and obviously giving vacc while the patient is sick makes the disease worse because now the immune system has to deal with a 2nd job. Thats also why antibiotica works - it simply deals with the root cause which is a bacterial infection.
The "science community" being brainwashed npcs couldnt deal with the publications advice " just check for infection before giving vacc" because their programing is everyone who links autism to vaccs is wrong. So the paper got no further attention.

It's more about spreading a coherent voice for far-right politics. I can surely elaborate to intellectuals on ''why'' I believe what I do. But most people are bugmen who speak in memes.
Most other political groups have proper representation, we don't. We're left in a state of chaos that can easily be infiltrated and filtered by our enemies to make mockeries of us.
Personally, I don't really care much about the topic of vaccines itself. I'm not gonna take it for the simple reason that I don't trust the system. But it is a good radicalizing force to get people against the system. Once people are against the system they become more open to other important topics such as race.

He did not. The contract said that if Hunter didn't came to collect the computer after a time, it will become the propriety of the shop. It was perfectly legal. They didn't even expected to find anything in there, especially not private communications proving that Mykola Zlochevky demanded to Joe to use his power to ask the Ukrainian president to dismiss Vicktor Shokin, including threatening to not give American money to Ukraine. As it happen, Shokin was investigating Zlochevsky who have been the ecology minister and gave government contracts to his own businesses. As it happen, Hunter is in the board of Burisma Holdings, propriety of Zlochevsky.
But that would just have been an abuse of power if Trump wasn't almost impeached for investigating it.

It is unfair because there is no attempt to understand the story from multiple sides. It is only the "my boss wants Trump out of office" side.
It's not even accurate either:

In summer of 2020 BLM did riot in the capitol and set several buildings on fire. None of them were fatally shot in a stairway or imprisoned without trial for coming up on a year now. This is just a pseudo-anti-estamblishment media outlet protecting a pseudo-anti-estamblishment protest movement.

Nobody at all needs politics to make money, so your statement is vacuously true. But anyone whose business is subject to taxes or regulations (so, pretty much everyone, even people operating in black markets controlled by the mob) does need to worry about politics, regardless of how well they understand the intricacies of advanced economic principles like "don't spend more than you make".

>People who struggle to make money on the free market go into politics
There never was a free market, not in the middle ages and not now. Back then you had guilds monopolizing jobs, now you have regulators rigging the market. The modern big tech companies learned painfully that you need to live with burning money on bribes and play the politics game as they struggled with it for quite a while trying to ignore it.
Splicer · 2021-12-24 13:15
>>54641
>There never was a free market
Ok but do you have an actual argument against my point though?
In the market you need to sell something that people voluntarily pay money for.
In politics you use violence to force laws and take taxes from people who succeed in the market.
So people who fail on the market naturally gravitate towards politics.
And people who succeed in the market naturally hate politics and politicians.
That's why government is so heavily stacked towards the "Left".
>big companies have worked out it is easier to bribe politicians to regulate their competitors out of existence than to compete head on
And how is that relevant to the discussion.

The point is you got the order wrong. Its not failures that join politics cause they have no good product. Its winning businessmen who understand the market is already corrupted and you cant compete on a fair level without playing the politics game too. So they are forced to join to enable further growth.
>In the market you need to sell something that people voluntarily pay money for.
This ignores entirely that the market is already rigged. If i tax you on butter higher you will run to margarine. You make that choice voluntarily but in reality its policy driven.
And then you have ScienceTM manipulations. In hindsight it sounds insane but in earlier days doctors would advertise smoking. And i specifically took the butter vs margarine example cause that fight was also driven by business funding publications how the other one is bad for you.

>its winning businessmen who understand the market is already corrupted and you cant compete on a fair level without playing the politics game too
That's a small minority of people at the top. Most people who are pro or neutral towards the free market (small/medium sized business owners, self employed and professionals typically), those people might prefer a freer market but they have no real incentive to get involved with politics because they're too busy making money and getting soykaf done.
It's everyone else who have little or nothing to offer the market, their survival depends on free handouts from the welfare state. They are the ones who not only need to get into politics but also have all the spare time. And that skews everything further and further to the left.

They simply don't have the ability. What can you do as small biz against a multinational corp? You cant outbribe them nor have you the sway threatening leaving the country / firing thousands of employers.
Small biz are already heavier burdened because corporate constructs to evade taxes have fixed costs in 100k+ range which is why bigger corps manage to lower taxes significant as the fixed costs become insignificant in their total budget.

I'm not the guy who initially brought up 4paul, but am the guy you were replying to here.
>why would you trade a news source with perhaps a smidge or two of journalistic integreity for channel four's slur filled drivel extravaganza
First of all, characterizing 4paul as a bunch of retards who just shout about jews and niggers is unfair. 4paul (at least in its good days) is a pretty diverse place with many people of different opinions. Its fairly well distributed geographically so on some types of stories you can get immediate in person coverage (I recall the Notre Dame Paris fire, for instance, had multiple anon's running around on the ground taking photos) that doesn't compare unfavourably to mainstream news sources. Of course most of it, like I imagine read-it, is basically commentary, reposting of news stories and blog posts and blog comments and links to twatteur threads, so its a fairly reflexive aggregator that pulls in material more than it produces (to be fair in comparing it to many news agencies republish aypee/rooters stories, and lately even 'serious' news orgs through out a fair few articles that amount to 'lets see what twatteur has to say about this').
That being said, for stories that spark its interest, its not a bad aggregator. Its frequently pretty fast, pulls in from a wide range of sources, and fairly frequently pretty decent ones. Its not well organized enough to present a single story, honest or dishonest, so it just presents a cacophany of material and leaves it to you to try and sort it out. Its not that bad imho, if you're willing to wade through the bulk of the poasts that are relatively meaningless, and don't mind the slurs and fowl language.
>alternate choice is to just read research papers
consider the ukraine war. Are there research papers about it right now that will get you relatively uptodate info about anything ? I'm pretty sure there arent, but there are 4threads discussing it and they'll get updated as soon as anyone notices something exciting habbening.
If you're talking about i.e. science journalism where maybe this is more relevant, then sure, and 4paul isn't very good in that area most of the time. I'm at the point where I'm suspicious enough of academia that I'd not place too much faith in research papers either, so I try to just treat everything skeptically if I don't know better.
Lady 3Jane.. · 2022-05-03 17:35
I don't like the opinionated perspectives journalists shove down my throat (i.e. censored publications) because they have a hard time delivering bibliographies with their publications, but I do like it when people around me do it. So I generally limit mainstream "news" consumption by only letting it originate from other people, because people like to talk about absurd soykaf that happened and then we can just talk about whatever aspect seems most relevant.
There are some talkshows though in my country that bring in interesting views or a bit more esoteric topics to be discussed with experts or relevant people in that field, which I sometimes watch (depends on who's invited to talk mostly).
I do consume a lot of recent publications, but through email notifications. That started because of the bibliography problem, and I do want to be kept in the loop of events in national politics. I found that my government publishes all their documents on their website, and also include the possibility of being kept up to date through email newsletters. And they do reference their sources. So I created another mail address for newsletters.
Because of the decent references, the email address grew into a dump for newsletters allover. Now I'm registered to a lot of NGO's newsletters, supra-national financial institutions, non-profits and investigative journalist websites. Its more or less an RSS reader, but since that never really integrated with the NPCs, mails are a nice alternative, since it can also include promotional material from businesses that want to sell their crap for cheap.
The newsletters have really expanded my horizon on what is going on in a lot of institutions and with what they concern themselves with, but leaves out what "the public" thinks of whatever is produced, which is what mainstream news generally does imo.
Besides this I collect & scan fringe (political) telegram groups to keep tabs on the outgroup idiot's world views, this also includes some news occasionally BUT IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS!!!!!!111!!!1!1!1!1!1!1!!!.

Yup the Smith-Mundt Act is what you're thinking of, and it was overturned in 2013. It made things far worse but it was still bad, as the media was still coordinated by sponsor and committee, relying on a couple news wires, with hired mockingbird CIA, all ran by CEOs with, in many ways, closely aligned goals. The media still served the purpose to emotionally manipulate, confuse, and disinform by sophistry and lies such omitting important context.
And yet, the internet got away from them, and independent and fringe journalists have been elevating their standard of knowledge and evidence-based reporting. Just because legacy media still manages to find new lengths to go downhill doesn't mean being informed is dead... but it's hard to argue against just being tuned out and distrustful. Mass consumption is exactly what this is about. Banning the truth from popular channels makes it harder to find not to mention that society is steered by what the majority believes to be true. This is the present stage. We are however not in the final stage. Once chatbots get sufficient advanced you will have no fringes to hide in because they will be there too to waste your time correcting your "wrong opinion" which is a stated goal of chatbot developers in press releases. I'll level with you and say I'm utterly blackpilled about the situation, though that discussion would be a bit more of a big picture one that I think we don't need to move to. For sure, a lot has been stacked to keep the general public ignorant, but that includes what the general public is doing. Barring any positing why this is happening, many typical normal people are feeling starved of a coherent explanation for the things they are being ordered to care heavily about, and increasingly are turning to non-legacy sources to sate their need to understand. Given enough time, fringe is no longer fringe. JFK, 9/11, mass spying programs, and so on enter mainstream and hit dinner table discussions. Leaving legacy media leaves one feeling marooned and excluded, and aside that being a mechanism to keep people in, it also builds people that find others outside towards community. The discussions hit the dinner table. With less loyalty to any given source, the process of starvation becomes more focused and particular, and newer sources are found. This process does not happen overnight. But, I ask you, reflect on how your political awareness has changed. How has Lainchan's awareness changed?
The thing about lying is the most hopeful thing you can do is hope the victim forgets, otherwise you have no choice but to build more lies upon lies. The breakneck pace modern news works towards the former, but they fuarrrked up and they've set themselves in many ways toward the latter. People are noticing. I don't think truth is dying, it's actually growing. Awareness is growing. I'm just worried about plan C.

most people know it's bullshit so they stopped caring and focus on other important things or start believing in stupid soykaf because some numnuts made a website.
Linking 20 obscure websites made by some mentally ill fuarrrks doesn't help with truth and the only awareness is that people realized politics is bullshit.

Hey, I'll take disillusionment as a victory too. :)
And those mentally ill fuarrrks are far better than legacy media, and stepping stones to true heavyweights. I don't mind pointing some Alex Jones fan towards the right direction to speed up the process. Politics may just be acting for ugly people, but that charade ain't for nothing. Not gonna belabor my point any further though, so good day.

alex is actually a good example of the truth getting lost along the way. When they made a joke of him talking about "they making the frogs gay" the reality was there was actually a corp pumping unfiltered chemicals into the water that changed the sexual development of the frogs. He memed it down to "frogs gay" which isnt accurate but still closer to reality than msm "alex wrong nothing to see here" and this is still a topic thats easy to understand. The average consumer is hopelessly lost when

>where do lainons get their news from
We really have come to a point where what was supposed to be factual information has now become to where it's YOUR news, It's YOUR facts. Truth has become nothing more than someone opinion and no matter where you get YOUR facts and YOUR news from it's never correct and you just need to "do your own research." We just play this ego game of arguing over opinions and interpretations so we can get that ego boost when the other person gets sick of it and leaves. Most of us here know better than this but that's what most other people do and it's kinda fuarrrked up.

Show me a site with an article about workers seizing the means of production and guillotining CEOs on the factory floor, beside an article about having a lifetime president who will secure the border and evict all wogs. Now that would be "all sides" reporting.

im doubting there is any news page that display such views and is anywhere close to being widely known
i would like to see wider comparison of views
although i think you can send them site and they might add it

You only hear what other people tell you and assume its factual and true because you cant verify yourself. Most of the soykaf thats taken as facts is just hearsay and yes publications are no different. Writing it down doesnt make it true. People get frequently caught fabricating their entire studies while pocketing money.

Seconded, found this out myself the hard way. It turns out that the "right wing conspiracy theorists" that everyone laughed at were telling the truth the whole time and it really is all the fault of the Rothschilds and the Federal Reserve system.

Best guess: they know you can't get through two whole paragraphs and therefore will be reduced to meaningless ad hominem replies rather than make a valid criticism.

fallacy chart is cancer to society because all the secondaries who never learned latin don't understand its only meant for strict moral reasoning. It was never meant for regular life use.
I.E. ad hominem is valid criticism, is someone is on payroll its sufficient to point it so nobody wasted time with them as you will never convince a corp drone to talk against their employer.

I'd say it's more a of a logic thing: a fallacy can't be used as a proof for your thesis, but that doesn't mean it's wrong or useless either.
I mean, otherwise, any field using the concept of statistics and tendencies (i.e. all of them) would fall under "slippery slope".

I legitimately trust places like 4chan to give me a more honest picture of the world than mainstream media. At least if it's inaccurate it's just some internet dipshit who has the wrong idea, instead of it being intentionally wrong or misleading to try and influence your thoughts and opinions as part of the grand global conspiracy to enslave everyone.
Read less mainstream news and read more imageboards.

Grand Theft World and Unlimited Hangout are the two I IRL will recommend among many sources.
GTW is a 6-8 hour weekly podcast with the goal is to provide a 'time-capsule' and cover everything important from the past week, provides historical context for the news, promotes critical thinking such as use of the trivium method and spotting fallacious communication, and really pushes their viewers towards not just the previously mentioned but also to do their own research emphasizing books to enrich historical context (works of Carroll Quigley, John Taylor Gatto, Rockefeller Archives, and many others). They feature a ton of content creators so you can find many more news sources from there.
Unlimited Hangout provides long-form history and analysis in focus of the technocratic agenda. The articles are the star of the show here but Whitney Webb does a podcast as well. The content is some of the deepest and thorough coverage you'll find anywhere in journalism, far and above anything else out there.

4chan and the politically incorrect board in particular is more than likely botted to hell and back by hobbyists and glowies alike. I think the only real way to get an "honest picture" is to build a network of friends who are those kinds of people

Yeah, it took me, the Russian generals and the Russian conscript by surprise.
Putin have spent a decade building an hybrid war, having pawns on the grounds with a casus belli and escalating tensions and they just had to find money in their pockets and entire convoys of weapons laying on the ground and to have "international volunteers" mostly made of "former" Russian soldiers to start a civil war for the independence of the part of Ukraine rich in gas.
This preparation was executed perfectly. Unlike the pseudo democratic fighters in Syria made up by the west, they did a good job at preparing this war and it should have been used as an example in manuals.
And then he sent the army. Without fuel, with cheap tires, without radios, without plans for anything.
Seriously.

PS.
I've learned a lot since I made this post.
dissentwatch.com isn't extreme enough and nationalvanguard shouldn't really be counted as a "News Site".
I really don't think there is a proper news outlet that aligns with a Fascist worldview,,, currently. Some comrades of mine have informed me that there's one in the works but unfortunately all the existing ones are of the movementarian (alt-right) crowd which is desperately trying to appeal to Republicans.
The problem is exactly that news and politics are directly related. News outlets will always be encoded with biased and manipulated language according to their writers and because of that I cannot take any of it seriously.
Respond with a Discord tag if anyone wants to talk in private :)

The places I've used over the years are no longer useful. I even installed Bypass Paywalls Clean etyension to see what Barron's, a service that I have had a subscripion for as a teenager. It wasn't worth the effort.
Recently-the past 5 years-, I would browse 4chan, raddle.me, 8chan, poal.co, voat.co, and newsletters for scraps. Mostly all garbage now that scrape reddit.
The only thing I bother with now is Lexisnexis, https://www.databricks.com, dailymail.co.uk, lobste.rs. news.ycombinator.com, tradingview.com
