Thread for transgenders, crossdressers, drag queens, any gender nonconforming individuals to be honest. I'm casting a big net for you because I never here it talked about here. I've known for quite a while I would have suited being a girl more. But that will never be the case. At the moment I am going for post-humanist hermaphrodite.(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, This is terrible opening post and a rule 4 violation, in future You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf. E.g. talk about what you want to discuss and why you want to discuss it, rather then making a fake general or shout out opening post to a group of people.)

Being sexually involved in your identity to become a "bear" guy is better than being sexually involved in your identity to become a female. At least then I don't lose my fertility, and can make a healthy display of heterosexual intimacy so my offspring will grow up healthy and not mentally ill (bear guy has masculine attributes to counteract the woman and is a good compliment to her natural femininity, transgendered individual has sissy behaviour thus confusing the children). If you are *actually* female, and you go on Lainchan, know all the differences between the Linux distros, play D&D/Magic the Gathering/Yugioh, know how to program computers, and other nerdy soykaf, you do not exist. Maybe a real gurl exists who does one of these things, a possibly, but no gurl exists who does them all. It's basically impossible. If you're a transbian and you have a cis-gendered wife, she sees you as a man, no matter how much she says otherwise. She is not a lesbian, she is a straight women with attention seeking behaviour, low self-esteem, or likes to see men a bit feminized. She still sees you as a man in that you're a tall, warm thing to hold on to. But you should take the plunge and go head-on into fully transitioning. Post-humanist hermaphrodite is not enough. You will be so feminine, the estrogen will make you basically a biological women, no matter what anyone else says. Once you're so feminine you should come down to my photo studio, I would love to take pictures of you in your feminine form~ :P

>>49209 That's why they need to isolate you and get you to commit, get you to go all in. Coming out to family and friends is probably embarassing enough, the permanent changes from hormone use.... but the surgery is the ultimate sacrifice. I think by the time hormones are involved most of the grooming is done and people are in full narcissistic double down mode (many if not mosttrannies are cluster B I would assume), but after the surgery? Yeah, that's pretty final. Like Heaven's Gate. Join a cult and literally castrate yourself for the cause. Offer up your manhood, your sexuality, your ability to start a family, all in the name of belonging and finding yourself within this perverse ideology.... sound familiar? How about the castrati singers, or the eunuch guard, or the guys in Asia who were close to the emperor and had to be castrated so they didn't think of scheming or starting their own dynasties. A sterile slave population. Sound familiar? It's so obvious. Stop doing it. You cannot become the other sex. Maybe play some dress up and have some pretend time so you can feel cute and disarmed, get your autogynephilia out, or whatever, but don't actually believe your own bullshit. Everyone is composed of both the masculine and feminine. Explore it, accept yourself to the degree desired, then go back to your real life. Anyone telling you otherwise is probably as or more fuarrrked up than you and has no tried and true advice to give anyway. I mean really, there's nothing all that special about a man having feminine aspects of himself, wanting mommy back and therefore trying to become her, wanting to return to the womb, or whatever is going on........ just, don't go overboard guys. I mean come on.

>>49210 >there's nothing all that special about a man having feminine aspects of himself, wanting mommy back and therefore trying to become her, wanting to return to the womb, or whatever is going on Beyond these types trying to cope with certain issues along these lines, it seems like an extreme offshoot of a culture built around narcissism. It's something we've allowed to go unchecked. The entire concept of transgenderism is based around self-absorption, and the amount of navel-gazing you have to do to build some sort of paper mache identity rather than have it manifest naturally is pretty large. At the same time, it's tough to blame any method people use to push down trauma, and to get by with a lack of any genuine guidance. But you're right, this is absolutely not the way.

It is weird how ideological the entire trans-vs-no-trans thing is. Ultimately I think that most people just make the self that fits in best with the world around them. Very few people have the strength to make an identity that deviates significantly from the baseline, partly because any deviation is reacted to with extreme hostility by some. What trans people do is sometimes impressive. Other times it seems they do the "punk" thing where they start to conform to noncomformity. >>49210 > You cannot become the other sex. Sure. Just be a fuarrrking feminine man instead of sending us back to regressive gender norms via experimental treatment that rarely works out longterm and having these billionaires push for fuarrrked up legislation that turns language into newspeak. This soykaf as we know it isn't 100 years old yet, and it was started in German sexology institutes in the 30's with several horrific failures of surgery. Gee, probably because it was frowned upon to be gay during that time. This idea of having a gender is just a mental prison. Be yourself without slapping a gender on it, gender is NOT innate. You think you're fuarrrking punk, but you people are paying out the ass for these hormones and procedures as the ultimate lifetime consoomer. I'm actually sick of this garbage. Let guys be feminine and women be tomboys, your sex doesn't limit you, this concept of gender does, it's confusing the fuarrrk out of young people who don't fit in and teaching them to alter their bodies to correct their problems. Trauma, I been there. I can tell you 100% this is not the way to solve it, just bury it under a superficial identity that is ultimately based on stereotypes and yes, John Money, who did come up with "gender identity" officially. Stop buying into this crap, I'm sick of newspeak like "pregnant people" winding up in my HR modules. </I am angry>

It really bothers me I have yet to hear someone that says they have gender dysphoria and are trans actually give a detailed description of exactly what they are experiencing. Any takers? What sensations and feelings are you actually experiencing? I also want to know exactly what gender therapists do to identify that someone has gender dysphoria and is trans and should transition rather than having some other condition. From things I've read I am increasingly thinking gender dysphoria is both a symptom and a condition in itself which is a potential problem those could be confused.

>>49230 Dysphoria is a sub category of dysmorphia, there will be some similarities between conditions as a result. People like to lump all people with X condition into a single camp (trans, autism, handicapped etc.) but the truth is every person with X condition is unique with their own experiences. Dysphoria is ultimately about a disconnect between a person's sense of self and the physical body they possess, transition is the best available treatment to help alleviate the negative aspects of dysphoria. As for specific sensations, an example would be staring at yourself in the mirror with a feeling of hopelessness and despair in relation to perceived masculine or feminine characteristics (depending on MtF or FtM of course) and consequently physical manifestations like stomach churning, this example is probably very common in dysphoric individuals. Transition itself is a very personal thing and the treatments desired will depend on what would reduce the person's dysphoria most. Like with other mental conditions dysphoria isn't cured but made less of a burden through treatment, people have good days and bad days as does anyone. Without transition being an option suicide is a very real possibility for a dysphoric individual, lives are in fact saved by providing gender care services. I am not a psychiatrist but I imagine the main goal of evaluation is to help the person work through their feelings and make sure that there aren't other life factors influencing their feelings, medical care is never perfect but I think the rate of success in gender services is probably very high compared to other fields. As much as people like to say you can be 'brainwashed' into being trans I really don't think that's realistic. The vast majority of people don't experience dysphoria (in the same way that most people are straight), trans people are actually a very small percentage of the population. Which brings me to the culture war, both sides are the problem here. You have the media hyper focusing on the trans community and singing their praises like the second coming of Christ which is something I personally find very grating (being proud of innate characteristics like gender or race or sexuality grinds my gears in general). Then on the opposite side you have people who burst blood vessels screaming about degeneracy and trawling the web for people to fume at. In the end I think being trans just 'is', it isn't 'super amazing wow so great hecking valid' or 'the worst thing in the history of humanity ever so degenerate dilate glitterboy'. Would life be easier if dysphoria didn't exist? Sure, but you don't get to choose what life gives you. Everyone who has ever lived and ever will is different and broken and strange in their own ways, the nature of reality is everything is imperfect. Nobody is an Adam or an Eve, we all have are own things to deal with in life, that's simply how it is. Getting zealous about it doesn't solve a thing. If you look for reasons to despise a group of people and dehumanize then you'll find them, you can apply this to literally any group.

They wrote the laws in advantage and then pushed them in the next case. One of the head lawmakers in us had an email published on this process. I think this has a similar utilitarian motive. When they ban calling a man in a wig a man they normalize government mandated lying. Its an attack on truth and the whole trans thing is just the vehicle. Its training people to say what gov want you to say without any critical assertion of the truthfulness of the message.

>>49240 I know what it is supposed to be but I'm saying I always get really bad descriptions of first hand accounts and a whole lot of vagueness all over the place. For example you saying a disconnect with the body also describes depersonalization disorder which can be a symptom of anxiety and depression among other conditions. There also is body dysmorphia where a person becomes hyper focused on part of their body not being right which of course can include the chest and genitalia. A person with dissociative identity disorder could have another personality of a different sex or even a personality that is specifically trans. A person with psychosis might take on beliefs of being the opposite sex. Body integrity identity disorder a person feels part of their body doesn't belong to them and even sometimes multilate themselves in reaction to it and it wouldnt be out of question some people could experience this with chest and genitalia. Sometimes there are female rape victims with PTSD that want to transition to men thinking it would protect them from being raped again. Not that I am saying it doesnt exist as it's own condition but I am skeptical whenever the label is slapped onto someone either by themselves or someone else. Psychology just isn't scientific enough to give proper diagnosis enough so the more drastic the treatment for any condition the more cautious and calculated people should be about it. There needs to be more research into gender dysphoria's causes and treatment options.

If you go to the doctor and tell them that your arm hurts it's their job to figure out the most probable root cause, or possibly refer you to someone with expertise on arm disorders. Like I said before a good psychiatrist will be able to pick up on and bring out other factors that might be influencing a person's feelings. It's easy from the outside I think to wonder if it's all quackery and not based on evidence but for these care paths to be provided and funded there needs to be strong evidence to convince the miserly money men to cough up the dough (especially in countries where healthcare is tax funded). As for descriptions of a condition, how explicit someone is willing to be about their own experiences is going to depend on how the person asking comes across and the extent to which those more negative times were traumatic to the individual. We are talking about a condition that still has a great deal of stigma attached and often leads to suicide in those who can't access treatment after all.

>>49209 I'm very curious to hear the stories of detransitioners and repressors. When I told some of my trans friends I was thinking of detransitioning they all sort of dismissed my thoughts and some never treated me the same after. As much as I feel like I should have been born a woman I don't believe I can ever live my life as one. I'm passable enough that some straight men show interest in me, but I think they would want to raise their own kids instead of adopting with a tranny. I don't want to feel like I'm just a sex object but that'll still be the case if I try to go back to living as a gay male. I don't really see a good path in any direction.

>>49378 Same issue -lack of adaption to our modern enviroment. There was no previous evolutionary pressure on self-control for food. People who couldn't control food intake were doing fine because there was no chance to overeat like now. Originally sugar was luxury, now its the reverse and healthy food costs more than garbage. So suddenly all the poor masses bloat up. Another example would be social media. Psyche wasn't ready for this new enviroment and now you have mental issues and other problems crawl out from this. Then on a chemcial level plastics/meds/hormones affecting you because its impossible to filter them out / avoid all goods that include them. We're besieged from all sides by environmental changes we never evolved to face which is why we suck at dealing with them.

>>49384 The individual might differ but on a population scale people are just npcs in the game of life. You can generate behavioral statistics that perfectly predict whats going to happen. All the addictive mechanics and marketing research works due to this.
Lunch · 2021-08-28 21:35
>>49385 I don't think you can. There was an experiment by some dude at ebay that if they stopped showing targeting adverts if there would be a decline in what people buy, and they did reduce the size of targeting by 1/3 and they saw no change. What I think is happening is the same as if you run statistics that showed people in the gym like the gym. You mostly would find, that yeah, people find it important to be there if they are there. On other side, maybe they don't find it important too. I can tell you you could perfectly predict my clothing shopping patters, because I Just don't care. I walk in, I see something durable and not overpriced and I pick it. And of all the predictive power that they apparently have, they can't predict anything important. No one predicts various political events, or economic crisis, or even could someone predict in 2016 that tiktok would be a huge app now? They couldn't. And while yes, you have some who predict these things, it's for the same reason a broken clock is right twice a day. I can know nothing of the weather, but if I say every day that it will rain today, some day I will be right.
Dox · 2021-08-28 21:53
>There was an experiment by some dude at ebay that if they stopped showing targeting adverts if there would be a decline in what people buy, That's way to little data. You need to know where they advertised, at what budget and what for. Its also possible their targeting was simply wrong. In general corps aren't stupid and yet they spend 60-90% of their budget on marketing depending on the product. Another good example of influencing people is what fb did - they knew which party you belong too based on correlation behaviour + people stating affiliation and projecting that on everyone and only reminded one side to vote to take influence on outcome. And on addiction front you have food optimized based on research to maximize craving so you buy more. Gacha games do the same with a data driven approach to maximize addiction to gambling.
Bob Arctor · 2021-08-28 22:09
>>49387 You need to know where they advertised It was generally 1/3 of US I believe. If I can find that paper I can link it to you tomorrow or sometime. >In general corps aren't stupid and yet they spend 60-90% of their budget on marketing depending on the product. Yes, but do you honestly believe that let's say Nike needs advertisement? They do spend a huge budged on it no doubt, but if they stopped I don't think anything would decline, and if I don't think it would be a big number. >Another good example of influencing people is what fb did - they knew which party you belong too based on correlation behaviour + people stating affiliation and projecting that on everyone and only reminded one side to vote to take influence on outcome. But that's not prediction. That's building a wall and only showing people you want them to see. And that's where their predictive power also comes from. Because sure, instagram might know what posts I will see, and I can tell you why. Because they are the ones who will pick what I see. There's a search function, but if you used it, you know how soykaf it is, and you would also know what they want to be top results they can pick. I can put you a man in a room with two doors and say there's a 50% chance he will pick that door, but that's not because the man is so simple or because my cognitive ability is so complex. >Gacha games do the same with a data driven approach to maximize addiction to gambling. With food I don't know, but in gacha games it's actually a small minority of people who pay considerable amount. Most pay next to nothing. Which again shows they can't predict or manipulate behavior. In this case they prey on people who can fall easily into addictions. In general, if these statistics have so much power, why can they only predict bullshit essentially? Like I said, you can't talk about predictive power when talking about what someone will see if you are the one who picks what that person sees. And nowhere, literally nowhere do they manage to predict things. CIA I believe confirmed they have yet to find a terrorist, the queen of England asked her own economic advisors how they couldn't see 2008 coming, Facebook too, see how much it is afraid of competition by buying every startup like whats app or Instagram even though it has enough money to start these app themselves and should even predict they would be successful if they are so good at it. No one predicted what happened with Taliban, so much so the whole talk about the situation might as well been turned 180 degrees just months ago. No one thought Trump would be the president in 2014. Really, where is this predictive power they talk about?
Roger Pollack · 2021-08-28 22:20
>>49388 The small percentage in gacha comes from most people not having the money to throw away. It depends on gacha though, I read one managed to monetize 60% with smaller transactions. The way its designed is however optimizing around taking as much as possible from the big paying ones. The same approach is also applied more widely to loot to increase player retention in any game. There was a post on reddit of a addiction researcher who explained working in gamedev as a "loot manager" fixing numbers to maximize retention utilizing his addiction research. As for taliban - news didnt talk about what matters. Like afghans not getting paid for 3 months and still needing money to feed their family. If the taliban provide why wouldn't they switch sides without resistance? The problem is you get fed selective data from people trying to tell you they did everything right.
Otto Normalverbraucher · 2021-08-28 22:52
>>49389 >The small percentage in gacha comes from most people not having the money to throw away. Well yeah, saying that if people have more money they will spend more is not really a deep insight. Somehow most people who try crack get their lives ruined, but most Gacha players, while I can imagine what kind of people play these games, don't drop their live savings on it. Then again, these games by definition block content away from you by forcing you to gamble. So what kind of people keep playing these games? It's again like the issue of finding out that people at the gym like being at the gym. Not really that impressive once you phrase it like that. >As for taliban - news didnt talk about what matters I wasn't even talking about the news, but you can outright look at US military. Why is the most funded military in the world not able to fight the taliban and win? And they actually have been fighting in the middle east for two decades by now and not much was actually gained from it. And this happened before. In the 60s Cuba revolution started with 11 people I believe dropping out of a plane and 8 were shot during the fall. Yet in few years they took over an island and fended off US invasion. Why do so frequently just few well organized people manage to wrestle power away from these big states with modern technology and apparently this massive predictive power? You can't talk about having this massive predictive power if only place where it works is walled gardens where you yourself pick what will be shown. I genuinely think this is more a modern belief that's founded on a rotten core than some real predictive power.

>>49391 They could always start a war in different place, and these aren't just places that they can afford to lose. Think about what it meant geopolitically to lose Cuba when USSR was around, and what it means today with Afghanistan. Not only has the US shown that a bunch of hooded people with AK are unbeatable, they also made sure that thousand of US soldiers died for nothing, and they lost a considerable part of land in middle east which is important geopolitically. That doesn't give trust in US state, which already is quite low compared to the past. They profit one way or the either, but if you remove that from equation all that you need to start pushing them off is years of patience, few AKs and you are in for a good start.
Mentat · 2021-08-28 23:51
>>49392 They never lost cuba in a meaningful way. If the soviets managed to plant their feet on cuba and station rockets it would be game over but they successfully prevented that. As for middle east - you literally aren't allowed to kill hostiles on sight. Its the rules of engagement orders that neuter the ability to win as they are forced to do nothing while watching hostiles do their thing.

>>49367 I know what you're trying to say but I'm not sure if you're just not educated well enough in the manner or being dishonest maybe even to yourself but psychology is not even on par with all the rest of medicine. In medicine a cause of symptoms is identified, that becomes labelled as an illness, then treatments can be given that cure or treat the cause or at least treat the symptoms. In paychology this process is backwards where illnesses are labelled solely based on symptom clustering not causes and the treatments are all shots in the dark where the actual mechanism how it works isn't known and just vague models of the conditions are made based on these treatments. Psychology is on par with medicine from the dark ages. Sure there is problems with medicine in general caused by capitalist corruption of where the focus of research goes but it's no where near as bad as psychology. I have studied psychology for years and have had seen so many friends suffer mental problems and failed treatments and found myself helping them more than their psychiatrists. Psychiatrists do not even run medical tests. They just guess based on symptoms alone and many even miss known conditions that cause psychological symptoms like lyme disease, PANDAS, Japanese encephalitis, chikungunya, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism etc....good friends of mine couldn't even describe it despite having great trust and confort in me and being first person they told anything to. They sure werent telling these things to stranger shrinks they did to me.

>>49404 I'm not saying that things are perfect but at the end of the day you need to try and help people function in the world somehow, the alternative is locking people away forever or killing them outright as was done in the past. There's always more to learn about any condition of course and that research should be encouraged, the climb is a steep one though as we are dealing with the most complex organ in the body, so whose to say what the hypothetical timeline is. I'm sorry that your friends have had bad experiences and they definitely deserve real help (I once knew someone who had ADHD, their meds made them lethargic and depressed to the point of being non functional). Unfortunately not everyone gets the care they need and that variance in quality of care should definitely be tightened. The respect I have is very much based on my own excellent experiences of healthcare but I realize that not everybody is so lucky. I already mentioned an example previously but if you have anything you want to know feel free to ask.

>>49424 Indeed. There are organized groups with more-or-less sophisticated propaganda machinery that aim to rewrite history and natural sciences to align with their psychotic narrative. Their main target is children and youth (the most vulnerable and malleable part of the population) who are bombarded with propaganda that incites feelings of dysphoria about one's own sex. In my country the main propaganda organization is called Seta and they actively train people in positions of power over children to manipulate them, and have detailed guides on how to brainwash children to their pseudoscientific concepts on sex before they even learn to speak. Example of direct translation from Finnish to English: >Sex is a continuum of different genetic, developmental, hormonal, physiological, psychological, social, and cultural traits. So the sexes are not just male and female, but a human can be both at the same time, something in between or something completely different. Some, on the other hand, have no sex at all. Note the use of the word "sex" instead of "gender". The word "gender" doesn't exist in Finnish and the term "sosiaalinen sukupuoli" (social sex) is normally used when biology is not being discussed, but these organizations don't use it. They use the word sukupuoli (literally suku = genus, puoli = half, side) which is biological and binary (males have sperm production and females have egg production) with the exception of some intersex developmental disorders that affect reproductive cells which are extremely rare.

Seems as though this version of 'freedom' you are *both* talking about (freedom to do as you please) is going to run in to problems. Maybe it is more important to have respect and kindness towards others, then trannies wouldn't bitch about others misgendering them and rightoids wouldn't bitch about being requested to address others in a certain way. I imagine such a world where people are less obsessed with their liberal ideal of 'freedom' would be better in pretty much every way.

Questioning someone's desire to chop their genitals off is widely perceived as "transphobic" in the movement. I've never agreed with transgenderism because it very much revolves around the concept of "gender identity," something which I dislike. I've never subscribed to the idea that some things are strictly "girly" or "boyish" and I compare the idea to that of restricting certain things to individual skin colors. I therefore conclude that transgenderism is, to an extent, sexist/racist.
