So i live on a bike route trail in a giant home made bike rv, and i found someones phone - wallet case and all, cc, id -on the trail this morning
I was ready to try hacking into the phone or doxing the guys wife to give her a phone call when my friend points out the guy is on facebook. So 20 min later he shows up at the starbucks i work from, gets his phone, super appreciative, and even tosses me 60 bucks cash.
tell me lain, what kind of good deeds have you done today? If you haven't done a good deed, why not? Not everyone is so blessed to be given easy good deeds like i have, but everyone can be a good person to reduce overall suffering, be a good neighbor, and help out their fellow man.

Im unsatisfied with the quality of this post, so some meaningless fuarrrking contributions
1. I never considered stealing the phone, but i couldn't reach emergency contact list from the iphone lock screen, so getting into the phone was only a route to contract the guys family
2. I didn't ask for a reward, although i did ask for cash when he offered to buy me starbucks food, he decided to reward me for getting him his phone.
3. He had his entire wallet in his phone case, so he also lost his ID, his CC's, his phone, and whatever else he kept in there, i only looked far enough to confirm who he was.
4. He lost his phone because he kept it in the back pocket of a bike jersey and i cautioned him against that - if it doesn't have a zipper it's not secure, and also told him to consider bluetooth headphones and a belt mounted phone case - the headphones will desync if the phone is dropped, and the belt mount lets you physically check if your phone is still there.
I digress. I hope everyone starts posting good deeds and lives in awareness on being a good person.

a granny mistook my shopping cart for hers, and walked off while i wasn't looking. She left her wallet with a lot of cash in the cart, and i was a little bewildered when i returned to my cart, only to see it now had a wallet in it. I didn't think too long about it, but instead immediately went to the info desk and asked for them to make a announcement. She already was there, pretty panicking, and i gave her back her wallet and cart. She was very thankful, and i gave me some cash, even though i said it was really not necessary, and i did it just to help. Felt pretty nice, and even though i really didn't need the cash, her smile made it worth it.

I just do what seems right. I don't think about it, and I don't really recall any specific moments...

That's cool too, anon, you don't need to pray in the pulpet or whatever that fuarrrking saying is, but you should be a good person mindfully.

Seems all my attempts I do face to face go not so great. Tried to help a blind man get to the other side of the metro station, had every intent to walk him the full way then my family dragged me off to get on the train and I left the guy hanging on the escalator trying to rush a description of instructions how to get there and told him i saw some other people up there that may help but sadly he probably didnt get other help because before I spoke with him many people just passed him by like he didnt exist even though he was asking for help. It makes me sad not knowing if he ever got to his train and that i let him down.

I contributed to a large FOSS project and fixed a bug.
