Disassociation General

Howdy, I am actually setting up my own sister site to lainchan in the periphery here to discuss psycho-physio-logical health topics in a setting more specifically focused on that, as in my experience you lainers can't handle discussion of the humanities outside of a very narrow framework that well, and internet ie:incel 'culture' in general loves to label anything and everything that forms new associations 'schizo' and move on without engaging critically. However, in the interim I've been asked to comment here based on posts in /weed/ pertaining to dissociative states. >>7189 >I read somewhere that a possible explanation for Schizophrenia is that some people are actually born to be rulers however, if they fail to fulfill their potential, they end up introverting instead and then, fulfilling their drive for dominance internally, they'll develop schizophrenia. Is the solution then to put Schizos in charge? I doubt it. Well let's suppose that the cause for the schizophrenic state is based largely on factors of environment as has been discussed, and sourced, (you), "How To Become a Schizophrenic: The Case Against Biological Psychiatry" is available on library genesis, which, just to be clear, ought to be read PRIOR to attacking the contents therein compounded with abuse can be the factor of repeated and consistent denial of autonomy for the sufferer, as well as consistent heartbreak. I think that aligns very well with what you've brought up. It seems likely that the need for control can not be met externally, so, and often with self-medicating, the person disassociates and concocts a fantasy where they are able to get their needs met. So it's not just abuse, the abusive situation can be very mild, or even imagined (though real in the person's perspective) -- but the trauma induced by such compounded by factors in the environment SUCH AS denial of autonomy... can lead a person to enter a headspace where they have regained that lost control. Is the solution then to put Schizos in charge? Of their own lives? Sounds crazy, doesn't it? Give someone who has had repeated and consistent denial of autonomy causing them to disassociate, the chance at having their own personal autonomy? Well, yeah. It just so happens that the larger system we live in has imposed a set of artificial barriers to autonomy, like rent extraction and compulsory factory work as just the most glaring. The general treatment in the biomedical world has been further isolation & denial of autonomy. Okay, and the last brief point here for the OP is that the problem does not in my view necessarily lie with the sufferer of one who disassociates. In fact, has it not been the case that people seek out such states for insight into their lives, and have gone into trance or taken psychoactive drugs for many centuries in order to achieve just that? The problem occurs when that person is obliged to re-integrate their experience into a society which does not yield to views on reality which do not align with the specific socio-sexual ultra-rationalist views which has been robotically parroted by other domesticated primates in that specific gene pool. I'm open to discuss this theory and method openly, however if you're going to come at me with various forms of "you're wrong", without formulating a counter argument or engaging critically then I can't really persuade you. A more accurate assessment might be to say, "what you're saying is not what state-run for-profit pedagogues get paid to preach to people in most closed-off-from-influence-outside-of-a-wealthy-elite medical circles, and my nervous system is currently not receiving new ideas which do not affirm my already fixed-in biases."

I regularly disassociate, and daily have what could be called power fantasies, and I've recognized that this, along with certain sexual perversions of mine, are due to misery and what could be described as lack of control. I don't have much to contribute beyond noting that this spoke to me. I'd like to be left alone so I may create what I want without interruption.

>>36224 I’ll give my opinion although I have never been one to disassociate. I do have within my family line the genetic trait of schizophrenia and although I have not personally experienced anything of the sort I have done some research into the topic for fun. >denial of autonomy being the origin of disassociation I find this somewhat unlikely and as a reading of correlation as causation, weak people prone to schizophrenia or other mental illnesses will inherently be maintained within the sphere of control provided by their parents or another source of authority in order to shield them from the reality which could become a trigger for them to disassociate. I would like to note that the natural state of human growth is that under the authority of the patriarchal family system and that the chances of mental deficiency grow significantly when a subject of young age is removed from such an environment where they certainly lack autonomy. The only situation where I see the lack of autonomy for the life of the madman prolonging or triggering in itself disassociation is if the figure in control of his life (the father for example) is connotated in his conscious as an evil character creating a sense of despair (for example molestation). >to put schizos in charge of their lives would relieve their problem I consider it for good reason irresponsible to put a figure who is incapable of being lead in a position of leadership. The ideal for a figure who disassociates from reality is something which forces him into said reality with a strong push and maintains his precense within it, it becomes a lot tougher to be a mad man when you are no longer a state funded neet who is granted the capacity to fade away into irrelevant dreams all day and night. >schizophrenia is not a genetic trait The impression I got from reading through was that you neglected the genetic component of schizophrenia. Although probably everyone would agree that schizophrenia is not purely genetic there certainly exist familially inherited tendencies towards it the denial of which would need a truly revolutionary theory. >schizos were meant to rule There may be some validity to this claim within the grander scheme of the matter, the genetic trait of schizophrenia is often passed on within the higher levels of society and therefore the more intelligent genes, this is applied in all populations equivalently if I understand correctly. I would personally attribute this to the reality that it takes a certain level of vision to disassociate from reality though.

>>36233 Don't waste your time, this guy wants to tell schizophrenic people that they don't need medication. He posted some word salad in another thread, likely a schizo himself. He claims it's because of abuse exclusively. The fact is this isn't remotely true, and many medical studies have proven it.

>>36224 >as in my experience you lainers can't handle discussion of the humanities outside of a very narrow framework that well, and internet ie:incel 'culture' in general loves to label anything and everything that forms new associations 'schizo' and move on without engaging critically Starting your post by generalizing and deriding your audience is a poor way to garner support. For example, I got about this far and stopped reading. Something to think about next time.

>>36744 I stopped reading here >"How To Become a Schizophrenic: The Case Against Biological Psychiatry" is available on library genesis, which, just to be clear, ought to be read PRIOR to attacking the contents therein and going to look into the book. It's pseudo science, and dangerous at that since it will likely lead to people becoming alienated from their only supports instead of getting real treatment. Very disgusting.
