Greetings. A bite in my ass has been my utter disdain and reluctance to contribute to a System/Government that does little for me, and in some cases preys on me. What I am afraid of is this being a "cope" for my lack of inspiration and reluctance to "develop" Yet "developing" is your portfolio as yourself, that is, I am to become a portfolio for wage labour and speculated capital over time. Again, why would I want that? At the same time how should I push myself knowing that anything I'm competent at is seen as useless because it isn't speculated on by capital nor preyed on by power? My reluctance for the "nine to five" and my reluctance for favorable career in academia/semi-public life is seen by a sane(ish?) society as lazy and dreg-like. Should I kill a part of myself to attain some level of economic independence? Is there an alternative to the System?

Do whatever you want to do. Follow your intuition.

There isn't really an individual way to opt-out. The only way out is to build class consciousness and open people's eyes to the bullshit of the system. That's step 1.

Not kill, but you may need to shove it deep inside you for some time. The only way to opt-out in a decent way is becoming very rich and retiring on your land. Currently, the best path for getting a massive amount of money without soaking your hands in blood seems to be ML and data science.

In which way is this a way out? Ruining the System would make everyone reliant on each other in the worst possible way.

2 steps. 1. if your gov is like kicking dead whales down the beach leave to a better country. 2. since you recognize that investors are in a better position aim to become one. Waging can't compete with investing once you got your start capital.

Training an AI to deny mortgages or whatever to the undesirables using data harvested by spying on every waking minute of peoples lives doesn't exactly leave your hands squeaky clean.

Most governments are pretty bad though, you can't just move somewhere where the government doesn't screw you over because that happens everywhere.

The degree of screwing is wide enough to make it moving a significant improvement.

Living as a replaceable part in some souless company is indeed an unfulfilling way to live. On the other side it can provide an economical backup for a period of time.
My advice is to use that economical backup as a means to allot some time amd resources building something that you want to be your true career in the future. Working as a wage slave does mean putting yourself aside for the time you are at work, but it's important to keep your focus on using your free time to try to aim for creating your own means of independence. It's up to you to know what that would be, it is also important to be sure to take small but steady steps in that direction, be realistic about it. What I'm saying is don't just aim to "create a startup" or whatever others would tell you the money is at.
Nevermind speculating with capital. You try to bring value through your work. Provide the public with something that is needed. And, as always, the best use of money is to put it to work. A bank investment is a good way to keep it safe while bringing back some (meager) yield. But if you can think of a way in which you can set up a system that will produce actual goods on a regular basis in a profitable way (however small), then that's a better way to have value, for as you know money is volatile and banks are not to be overly trusted. Remember, suchna system will need a regular input of both returns and some labour, though you ought to try to minimize the need for you to work yourself at it.
Do you think they should teach this at achool? A little bit of experience shows this to be natural and almost intuitive, yet the school system makes sure one can only aim to work for da bosz.

The design is private schools job raise company owners covering everything necessary to run a business while public school is supposed to raise obedient workers.
