Hey lainhum,
Me watching Suzumiya Haruhi tends to trigger severe depressive episodes in me. Not the all of it, but strangely, only the parts where nothing depressing occurs. I don't get it. I don't get depressed by the parts that depict depressivity. Am I missing something? I have depressive bipolar, so it's not surprising that I get depressed now and again, but I don't get why this consistently triggers my depression. There aren't any associations with any particularly depressive events in my life.
And the opening theme, I can hear how optimistic it is, I can even feel some joy underneath the crepitage of each motion of my phegmatic.
I must know whether anyone else feels similarly.
