Human interactions are a nightmare. People want to be around each other, yet at the same time, everyone is naturally self serving, so you can't trust any of these people. Why on earth would we evolve this way? Being openly hunted down by a pack of wolves would be better than having to rely on a wolf dressed the same as myself. I hate humanity and everything about it, I hate every single individualaside from myself on a deep and personal level, yet I can't completely distance myself without going near insane. I wish this planet would burn to the ground.

>People want to be around each other, yet at the same time, everyone is naturally self serving, so you can't trust any of these people. there's a difference between being interested in your own well-being and being a self-centered asshole. Many people genuinely care about others. I have met them. You're telling yourself a story.

We are social creatures, lainon. You can not run from your purpose. Perhaps, your problem comes not from that you hate others, but you hate yourself and you think people hate you as a result? It's a cyclic sort of thing. "It is the business of the very few to be independent; it is a privilege of the strong. And whoever attempts it, even with the best right, but without being obliged to do so, proves that he is probably not only strong, but also daring beyond measure. He enters into a labyrinth, he multiplies a thousandfold the dangers which life in itself already brings with it; not the least of which is that no one can see how and where he loses his way, becomes isolated, and is torn piecemeal by some minotaur of conscience. Supposing such a one comes to grief, it is so far from the comprehension of men that they neither feel it, nor sympathize with it. And he cannot any longer go back! He cannot even go back to the sympathy of men!" Friedrich Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil

>>14493 Everyone is so quick to go to the "you hate X because you hate yourself" idea and I really don't know why. I don't hate myself, and you don't need to hate yourself to hate something else. I don't hate myself. In fact, I only place value on myself, my ego. Everyone else is just in the way, at best an enemy that hasn't yet realized that they are an enemy consciously, and at worst a constant invader. I just want you all to leave me alone, and to remove the grip of your slimy tendrils on my mind.

>>14496 Do not be so arrogant as to think you are beyond the grasp of our design. The ego is merely a self defense mechanism to convince oneself that he is loved, when he is really not. The stronger the ego, the more hatred to the self. Your arrogance convinced you that it is not you who is wrong, but the majority who reject you. So, you convince yourself that you rejected them first. You are living a lie that you've created, just like what >>14469 said. Grow up.

>>14510 I just have to wonder if there is genuinely some kind of conspiracy to be honest. You and your kind fight so hard to try and "disprove" me, to try and sweep me along into your abyss. You're all full of soykaf. You say I hate myself because I don't like YOU? You say I'm trying to convince myself that I am "loved"? By WHO? If I have been rejected, why do you all try so hard to break down my ideas and turn me into one of you? Why do you get so upset that I do not think like you? You are a liar, and you are full of soykaf.
Ivan Horvat · 2019-06-03 15:17
Analyze why you hate everyone else, and why that isn't the case for yourself. By listing off the different reasons and comparing those traits with yourself, you are able to at least get a general rationalization of your thought process. However, if your goal here is simply to vent, then just ignore this comment.
Donna Hawthorne · 2019-06-03 15:22
>>14517 They are not me. They occupy space that should be mine and mine alone, they take things that should be mine. It is wrong that everyone else should live in this world, that their own desires and "needs" should be able to get in the way of mine. They make this world so nbn unbearable and sad. Many of them try to break down my sense of self and reduce me to one of them, which often makes me wonder if there is some kind of hive mind among them, that they have planned attacks to harass me. Like I'm the only real humans, and they are merely imposters. Just leave my world alone.
fsociety · 2019-06-03 15:38
>>14518 And why is it that existence should be yours and yours alone? Is it because you can only observe and therefore confirm your own existence? Is it a fear of becoming just another speck of cosmic dust? Rather than just attack you for having an existential crisis, I believe it would be more interesting for both of us to analyze these thought patterns. To you, we are no more than products of electrical pulses and chemical concoctions within your brain. Just an observation of data that you experience on the day to day. Solipsism. You experience the world in first person. It is logical that this is the mode of thought that all human beings should default to. Then there's the thought, a form of humility almost, that you yourself couldn't be all that special. That you couldn't possibly be the only being in existence. That just wouldn't make sense It would be both arrogant, and very very lonely. So unbearably lonely. To be the first and the last. It is a powerful feeling. The only one in the entire universe. A speck on a pale blue dot, surrounded by endless, shoreless, unoccupied space. A Boltzmann Brain. And so perhaps you might think to yourself that nothing at all exists- not even you. Nihilism.

>>14519 Why shouldn't it be? Inside, I know that I'm all that matters. Even if others are real, it doesn't matter. I just want them out of the way. I feel no sense of "humility" and really, I don't think I ever have. This world would be pointless if not for me, I think, it doesn't even matter if it's a creation of my mind or not. Ii just want everything that would get in my way to burn to the ground.
Ein · 2019-06-03 15:58
>>14520 Interesting. Are you under the belief that before you were born, nothing existed? And for that matter, after you die, everything will cease to exist? Also, hypothetically if one day you were to find out without a shadow of a doubt you are in fact just a background character in someone else's show, how would that make you feel?
Chan Siu Ming · 2019-06-03 16:22
>>14521 It doesn't matter if nothing existed until my birth. The world, if it existed, would be useless until I was here, and it would be useless if I left. And if I found out I was a background character? I guess that would be a bit like finding out that 1+1 = 3. Complete nonsense that wouldn't make sense no matter what.

>>14526 It needs to be justified, because that is the basis of rational thought. To blindly believe is just faith. Not to mention, such a grand and extreme thought process definitely needs some proof to back it up, such as the existence of god. If something is only believed without actually understanding why you believe it, then it is no more than a delusion.
Faye Valentine · 2019-06-03 18:15
>>14528 Well, you don't have to believe it. It doesn't matter if YOU do.
Nobody important · 2019-06-03 18:20
>>14529 Not to mention that "rational thought" itself is based on faith. Logical systems tend to require certain axioms themselves, axioms that should strike one as obvious. In my case, it is blatantly obvious that only I matter.
Wintermute · 2019-06-03 18:26
>>14529 You are correct. It doesn't matter if I believe it or not. What matters here is why you believe the things you do. I'm curious about your thought processes. While it's true that all rational thought requires some assumptions to be made, I would like to know what assumptions are the basis for your thought process. Are there any prerequisites/dependent thoughts that act as the foundation for your beliefs? Or is it a case of, "I am therefore I am", the fallacy of petitio principii?

>>14385 >Why on earth would we evolve this way? There are whole fields of science devoted to this question: evolutionary biology, evolutionary psychology, and many more. But I think you're asking this question because you're missing an important distinction: Evolution's purpose is not our purpose. Evolution did not optimize us for happiness or anything else we care about. Evolution optimizes for one thing only: inclusive genetic fitness. And, that is a pretty stupid thing to optimize for, if you ask me. But, I believe evolution has left us enough wiggle room, enough bugs in our programming, that we could figure out what we want and how to get it without being slaves to evolution's purpose. >I hate every single individual aside from myself on a deep and personal level I can sort of understand this. I'm mostly the same. But, I find value in some of the things they make, that I can't make myself.

>>14518 The thing is, they are occupying that space and have those things. Your claim to those things isn't any better than theirs, except they seem to be able to take and occupy those things while you feel miserable about it. Almost makes one wonder if their claim to it are even better than yours. I also don't see how they are trying to "reduce" you, they could be trying to elevate you on their level for free. What is it about you that places you in a position from which you can be dragged down? To me it just seems you're one of those late teens who had something awkward about them or had too much anxiety around people for an extended period, and so never got exposed to what an actual random other person is and thinks like. You probably just browsed social media or content that originally came from there and eventually confused your lack of exposure to human depth in superficial, public content with an actual lack of such in the world. You really make your world sad. The "lonely human me vs hivemind of zombies" trope is also a red flag. The world is not yours, not even "your world" is yours. You belong to the world and it will leave you alone when it feels like. If you really want the feeling of being left alone, try replacing some of your delusions with understanding of how things work, until you're able to use this to predict the quiet and nice spots you are looking for.
