How to be a cold person?
Nifty and that takes advantage of the opportunities without showing fear?
藤原純一 · 2019-02-26 20:02
The right kind of combination of drugs.

You are mixing up being optimistic and motivated with being fearless. The latter does not give you the former. Infact i would argue most people are driven by fear and losing it makes them lose their main motivation.

Simply do what a cold person would. What's stopping you exactly?

there is a really noticeable uncanny valley effect when someone who has real empathy tries to act like they don't have that altruistic awareness of others' needs or comfort.
people like this really put a huge target on their backs for both retaliation from nice people and for exploitation from actual real /socio/psycho/paths.

Step 1) Undergo intense military/ ascetic conditioning
Step 2) disown or otherwise remove yourself from all existing human contact you have had to this point. Avoid human contact for as long as possible.
Step3) Never masturbate for years. Physically and severely punish yourself whenever you feel the need for sex, or any form of human attachment. Fill the void with physical and mental training.
Step4)Make sure to eliminate any additional traces of emotion or sensation with copious but nonlethal amounts of painkillers/narcotics, and take up high grade stimulants in biologically tolerable quantities over the long term.
Step5) if you still feel, take larger doses of narcotics and stimulants until you achieve burnout. Continue intense physical training and avoidance of human contact until you can no longer perceive your own emotions, or those of others, much less relate to their physical and psychological states.
Step 6) take time to kill cute fluffy creatures, working up to larger and larger creatures. If you find you have the stomach, kill people in contexts that offer minimal long term risk, become as indiscriminate as possible, and learn to tune out their emotions. Dub an image of something you hate over the experiences you build up this way.
Step 7) Look for ways to take whatever you want from whoever you want, whenever you want and without significant risk to you personally. Learn to scapegoat and practice lieing to people you meet. Lie, lie, lie, lie and lie some more to everyone all the time as long as possible until even you are no longer sure of your own truth.
Step8) maintain drug regimen and intense physical and mental training
Step 9) enjoy/suffer in the hell you have crafted for yourself, willfully and knowingly. Be satisfied in the knowledge that, while not bullet proof, you are the least vulnerable bastard on the block. Enjoy the frequent silence of your life as the hours while away and the remnants of your toasted and brutalized brain and body begin to break down in your middle age.
Learn to love catheters and strange nurses/doctors who give no fuarrrks about you prodding you with needles and such, trying without much cause to keep you alive against the rising tide of biological cascade failures the process of becoming who you are has caused. The costs are high, but may be worth it if this is what you...or at least who you used to be wanted.
Final Step) forget who where, and who you now are as you collapse into a pile of rotting ape meat at last at peace with the ambivalent and immortal processes of the physical universe. You will become one with all things in time. If an afterlife exists, you will get what you wanted in life doubly over if religion is to be trusted, though none can say for sure just yet.
If such a thing exists, you will know your penultimate success by your rejection from any conceivable afterlife locale. Heaven or whatever rejects you outright due to your intense void of everything, lest you consume all of paradise; Hell rejects you for fear or freezing over from your absolute zero soul. The devil itself cowers at the voidness of you.
You roam the infinite blackness of death, or perhaps become it and there you remain for ever and always until the cycle might repeat once more.

I'm anxious a lot, but I'm cold at the same time.
No one knows when I lie, because I can believe my own lies.
Sadly all this leads into a lot of escapism

>how to be a cold person?
simple, all you have to do is convince yourself depression is good, actually.
>That takes advantage of the opportunities without showing fear?
Be warm and kind and actually care about the things you're doing. It's easy to do what's necessary if you really care.

It really is. Most people just envy the power of will of psychopaths.
But out of enough dedication, it's possible to unlearn. A self made sociopath will never be the same as a born psychopath, but by pushing philosophic doubt to the extremes one can reach elevated states of function.
First do the philosophic and introspective work of deconstructing complex concepts into underlying ones. Don't bother with ethics yet.
Second, read up on psychology, especially marketing theorists and conversational hypnotists for some insight on how stuff like reciprocity is learned by your brain and why everyone but mentally ill people have it.
Then, you need to query the ego and only the ego. It's a technique similar to tulpa meditation, except you're trying to silence a part of the psyche instead of giving it a foreground voice. In the freudian model of a "me" an "overme" and an "it" you would want to silence the overme and fuse the voice of the me and it.
You ask your ego for each social pattern if it's something it deeds good. After you stop meditating and you go back to hearing all of your thoughts, you have an ardent conviction the stuff you rejected is bad, and when you detect it it'll feel annoying to painful.
It's a long process, and if you are a truly good person you might not even reject parts of your personal morals you'd have hoped to do without. But it builds a lot of assurance in yourself (sometimes a bit infuriating when someone tells you you're narrowheaded for defending an "opinion" when you've reflected on it more than they've probably thought about any subject in their life).
But I have a hunch anyone that has enough of an interest into streamlining their mind to feel more control and power will have enough to reject to make it worthwhile.

Why would you want to be cold? What do you mean by "cold"? Have you taken all the consequences into account? This seems pretty edgy to me.
Spooky · 2019-04-27 12:25
Read Machiavelli.
He was a supreme pragmatist, and advocated suspending (at the time christian) morality over empirical matters.
"It would be best to be both loved and feared. But since the two rarely come together, anyone compelled to choose will find greater security in being feared than in being loved."

unrelated to the thread's main discussion, there's a theory that the entirety of the prince was written as a political satire. don't know how true it actually is but keeping it in mind makes reading the book absolutely hilarious.

There are lots of theories regarding this book, my book came with a preface talking about them. It's interesting to read it and explore each possibility. Regardless of which perpective is right, the strategies given by the book are useful.

You should never be cold in my opinion.
Since there seems to be discussion around it starting to occur I will tell you my justification for using necessary violence. Unless you are psychopathic or not genuinely thinking about it, it's quite a tough thing.
For awhile though I struggled because my solutions to problems most important to me involved some fighting, and while that's all edgy and cool I began to realize how not cool it truly is. Fighting is like kicking dead whales down the beach, and I probably wouldn't be much good at it. The question was then if it sucked enough to make the alternative worth it. Often in today's world peace is always an option, but it can often come at the cost of one of the groups futures.
When I got into religion, lots of religions. Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, etc. and specifically the mystical traditions of these religions I learned that the soul and immaterial is most important. And the soul is eternal, killing someone will never kill their soul. In fact I realized, one who does wrong has their souls spared further torture from the body upon death. On a smaller scale, to inflict reasonable punishment is not a cold matter but a very warm matter in which you are caring for the persons soul, as that is their most important organ and unlike their body it never fails or dies. To not fight sometimes even in its best intentions is to place the material over the immaterial. We often think to not fight is also an act of rejecting the material, but in fact we do so for material comfort, because fighting is rough and painful physically and emotionally.
I don't know if this is what you want OP, but I think you will end up at some version of it or another. To be cold, to be nifty, to not show fear involve a apathy towards the material world. When you acquire this you will find yourself unable to be cold though, you will love even your worst enemy and at the same time this is why you will always come out the better.
Personally I don't think fear ever goes away though. It's just one of those things you have to make peace with.

I don't understand "feeling bad" for another person anymore.
I was a much kinder person before, but it's much easier being the me that I am right now, if a bit lonely.
I don't have any friends, but I do have convenient acquaintances. I keep a "maintenance" level contact with them, once a month maybe.
This means I'm close enough to gain the benefits of being their "friend", while at the same time avoiding the obligations that usually come with.
Some used to notice before. I remember being told that it was like I've got no blood in my veins, like a machine
But I've gotten better

You won't be a cold person if you never betrayed anyone in your life. If you're able to betray someone, then you will also expect being betrayed by others at any moment. Thus, you became more cautious and cold. Saying from personal experience.
