Death

What are some more interesting views on death? The process, what happens (or doesn't) afterwards, just any view on death besides the typical christian heaven and hell. Lately I've been having dreams, well over a week now, where I die and I become an entity experiencing just stuff. I don't have any thoughts really but I'm just experiencing space, if you will. There's stuff all around me and I'm stretched out in all directions. And it's not terrifying but actually feels quite good. These dreams have made my mind focus on death, the process, and the small hope of something afterwards. What are some philosophies, or religious ideas, etc on death? It doesn't even have to be anything you believe in but an idea of death you find interesting. I'm interested in the void, nothingness, and the potential of some kind of afterwards.

I really like the view that the book "hagakure" presents on death. I would post it, but not on my main computer, it is worth a read especially if you are interested in the bushido lifestyle. Although I don't agree with it 100% I think that it is one of many ways to live your life without regrets, mainly that to be afraid of death is to be afraid of life. The same view is presented by the ashers (iir the name, there was a post about them in a suicide thread a few years ago) who basically advocate that once you understand you are mortal, only then can you actually live your life.

Death is omnipotence without a you. Death is nothing. Death is everything.

>>12024 https://www.alcor.org/Library/html/whycryonics.html https://www.alcor.org/Library/index.html If there is a hereafter, then having your remains stored in liquid nitrogen and preserved against entropy wont likely prevent your experience of that. If there is no hereafter, and no experience thereof, then cryonics may well be the best investment you ever make, if you enjoy living and want to do more of it that is. If there is no door, make one! Personally, I have chosen to put my money where my mouth is, but I wont claim to have a sure fire silver bullet for death. Death, like life is messy and complicated, and sort of eerily beautiful, which is just why I am so willing to trade money now for even the small possibility of coming back. To visit death and return to life, and know the full range of experience between. But alas I have reached the limits of my language. In the same way I could not describe what I am, to you in words, I cannot describe my beginning or end, for I have none of which to speak.

93 93/93! >>12024 Oh soykaf man, I read in Man and his symbols by Dr. Jung that one of his patients, a little girl, had dreamt about her death and soon after died. Anyway, not really about death but ascension to a higher sphere or dimension of enlightenment. The less corporal influences your mind has the less hassle between it and the truth. What is the truth? The one thing that is perfect, Deus, autem ille non similis veritas adspectus hominem est. Latina legis? Non scio. No it's more like a force in nature outside our bubble that the demiurgos or carpenter built. ENA. I find the lack of knowing what lies beyond a bit frightening, but still I would like to make the best of my current life, for he that lives right can neither be harmed in life nor death, as someone so-ruler said. Though it's always entertaining reading myth of Er and stuff, contact with the dead from the living would be rad. If we look at astronomy and the space of the universe one can wonder what lies beyond the black cold fringes. Maybe there is some sort of encapsuling nature from where everything comes from to follow lines. Don't 23 skidoo me kiddo. .:93 93/93:.
