So I was working at the best place I could have possibly hoped to be working. Doing exactly the things I wanted to do with my life. Then, I was not. I am now unemployed, and wondering where to go from here. I am young, have a bachelors degree, and I am reasonably healthy, but I am really unsure how to continue. Grad school is a possibility, and so is taking time to find work elsewhere. Consider this my little prayer to Lain, let me know what you think lainons. I am currently able to survive for about a year if I am careful with my savings and nothing catastrophic happens. What would you do? Also, general stories of oversoming obstacles in one's life. >>11032 I have had to go through complicated things throughout my life, and if something I have learned is that you always have to do what you want with your time. Do what you most want, if you want to continue your studies, do it, if you want to find another job, do it. If you like both in the same way, then do what has more future benefit, not only to enrich your pockets, but also your mind and/or your heart. Something that has always helped me with economic problems was the advice that my grandfather gave me, to learn different jobs. Currently I know work with things of carpentry, blacksmithing, electronics and music composition, apart from doing my studies in informatic in general. Having a second and third plan always comes in handy. My advice is just that, do what you want most and if it brings a benefit to you, it's a plus.

Add more skills I have a lot of them and every day I use one to make some kind of money. I aim for at least 50 a day and 200 if I havent made anything in the past 3 days Try to avoid all internet distractions and research ways to make money and invest the money. I can do a lot of things with art and technology so that's where the bulk of my profits come from when I'm unemployed. The major 3 Graphic Design: Webdev, digital sculpting, image editing Security: Removing accounts from laptops and cellphones. Repairing tech: anything that uses electricity. My specialty is character sculpting for animated projects but I haven't had a big need to use that. Still, I'm glad I went for that when I were younger. All of the smaller skills that play into that have been more valuable. I can make money just being a good source of info. I middleman drugs at my favorite bars and friends give me a cut. So many college kids need coke in this city it's disgusting. Got a lot of ways to steal too. I'm sitting on a few accounts from "friends" that needed help but never wanted to return the favor so I take all of the monies in secret. I doubt you're intrested but if so you can do a lot of damage with PayPal accounts and a bitcoin kiosk Women will also pay for sex if you're a guy. Expect to give it up for free if they have a hotel room. Lot of attractive ones if you travel or into couples. Prayers dont work. Knowledge is power, networking is key and money is everywhere. Dont be afraid to open your heart.

>>11034 Thank you for the encouragement. I will be sure to give it some thorough consideration, and act on what I find. :)

>>11045 That is how I usually scrape by as well... I just go to town applying random stuff I have learned to random people's projects, or finding other ways to scrounge. I thank you for your clearly experienced perspective. It not that I am concerned about surviving day to day, its mostly just that I want to do some very specific things in my life, and have been cut off from the most direct way of doing those things... I have all the indicators of inherited early onset alzheimers. Genetic anosmia, and 3 other expressed sequences that put my likelihood of contracting early onset (circa 30-40) in the 90th percentile. Its not certain yet, but some medical investigations have shown me to be having increased production of beta amyloids and tau tangles already. So I am not sure how much time I have left to act before my mind starts to go to soykaf. I started working where I was, because I wanted to help push technology along to perhaps be able to develop a solution to my problem before it became severe. But it looks like Ill need to find another way.

>>11032 You have held strange Gods in such an arbitrary way. There's no where for your trust to be placed and you deprive your self of guidance.

>>11085 I mostly meant the prayer part as a humorous quip. Not that I actually worship lain. Though I am submitting details of my life to the Lainchan community for scrutiny and perhaps some advice... I meant "prayer" as in the submission of a request and some information in the hopes of an answer(s) that lead in a direction I may have failed to consider. Which is easy for me to do these days. What exactly do you mean by >there is no where for your trust to be placed and you deprive yourself of guidance I am not sure I understand.

Im really sorry to hear that, rotting like that is one of the worst ways i could think of to go out of this world. Cannabis has been proven to help with neurodegenerative diseases such as altzheimers. I dont know if that applies to thc or cbd. Dont give up hope and keep going, do what you really want to do in life.
