>tfw paranoiacs think every poster in this thread is a bot or an LLM
Let’s be real for a second. No developer is wasting server costs running an AI script on an imageboard.
If you see a terrible take, it's not a machine. It’s just a real human being with an exceptionally fried brain.

I can run an LLM capable of interacting with the quality of some brewing soykaf bots on my not very good desktop and have it interact at full speed while also running the desktop and a number of other tasks. The cost to doing this is minimal, I've wasted more money on running a VPS that I hardly use.
Not saying you're wrong but if you're right its for the wrong reasons.

Obvious lie is obvious.
There is a lot of very good reason to flood social spaces with trash, misdirection, and confusion. There are schizos who jump at shadows, but these companies have consent to manufacture.

There's a position you're all missing, which is that the people running LLMs are regular posters of the board who have some much more tangible motivation for doing so (such as "proving a point") or whatever. I've seen this happen repeatedly and it's annoying. Using an LLM to spam lainchan doesn't make you clever, it doesn't make you 1337, it it doesn't make you a good troll, it makes you sound like a butthurt glitterboy.

Nah, my good lainon. If they have got the money to download the whole Internet and read through every book uploaded to the Internet Archive and Project Gutenberg, they obviously have the money to run bots on forums and image boards. Data is data, even if the data points consist of the fruits of "exceptionally fried brain[s]", as you put it. It's a whole other question whether or not anyone would bother with lainchan specifically or other similarly obscure and small boards. Relatedly to this hot-potato of a topic that has seemingly kept lainons up at night for the past year or so, I have run prompt experiments to determine whether or not the larger models might contain data structures that would indicate whether or not lainchan were their origin. I asked one of the LLMs to print out what a typical OP and the ensuing comments would look like, and I gotta say it's fairly similar to how one such thread might pan out here.
Regardless, I think you're downplaying the determination, tenacity and greed of both coders who have weaponized their 'tism as well as their tech billionaire overlords who want to procure new data as cheaply as humanly (or robotically, I guess?) possible. In fact, pertaining to this very thread, that is most likely the case: this response is what the thing behind the OP is after, which they will then analyze, take apart, package and sell forward to agencies and parties who have made data harvesting into a profession. This very phenomenon, ironically and poignantly, touches upon the exact social issue brought about by capitalism, which the radical Marx so wisely had envisioned almost 200 years ago with his theories of surplus value and its extraction by subsumption. History keeps on proceeding exactly as has been predicted.

I ran a few tests on a few chans. Lainchan's audience is vulnerable. Cope & seeth if you want, but you're all vulnerable. I am one person with a soykafty local agent and patience. I manipulated the audience with small derailing posts, careful misinformation, etc. and successfully made mods knock out legitimate conversation.
Why? To see how hard it is. The answer is:
a neet with an outdated gpu and patience can control ANY AND ALL anonymous image boards.
G'day.

Dumb "achktshually" take. Covid produced tons of this behavior, people who weren't built for handlin the idea of psyops and illusion suddenly got into it and started sharing their ill thought out soykaf takes everywhere.

the problem isn't even about misinformation, its about derailling good conversations, breaking good threads. Its one thing to be decieved its another to just not be able to have a discussion in a discussion forum because all the enemy chaff being sprayed around.
Im not that lainon, but I know for sure I could do the same thing he says he did. It wouldn't even be hard.

People love drama and always take the bait, trying to improve something that can't be improved. What else can you say. Computing is full of this. Retarded trash people and their soykaf takes that should just be ignored.
