Will NPCs run this world into the ground?
Six · 2026-08-09 05:52
So, basically.
In the last 100 or so years an ordinary person has gotten a lot more freedom and influence than they ever had. Not quite on individual level but when enough of them do something, it has influence on everything.
But most people in the world are NPCs who by definition don't think of what they are doing. A few examples
> IoT devices are now availabe. Security experts warn people to not use them or excercise caution becuase it might create an IoT botnet.
> IoT botnet is created
> Generative ai becomes availabe. Some people from the field warn to use it with caution because uncontrolled use will lead to blurring the lines of reality
> NPCs use it to generate porn and memes and now you can't look at something without wondering if its real or not
That's not even touching more polarizing issues. In fact, I don't really need to because NPCs are incapable of holding a meaningful position anyways, not to mention that they happily come together to pass some horrid mass survailance laws all the time.
Is it over for our civilization?
Delilah · 2026-08-09 06:38

You don't really need a democracy to create an IoT botnet. You just need enough dumb people to use insecure IoT items connected to global net.
Guthrie · 2026-08-09 07:06
You're suggesting that a huge fraction of the population is basically unfit to rule even their own lives. The implication is that they need someone else to rule them for their own good and for the survival of society. This is fundamentally anti democracy.
Project 2501 · 2026-08-09 07:14

Yes. Every society has realized the average person has to be controlled and apparently cannot be improved beyond their natural condition. The ones that refused or were unable to do so undermined themselves and collapsed. When people complain about "women" everything they say is actually a complaint about NPCs. The female just happens to be a locus of fixation for them, so they fail to realize female NPC behavior stems from the same core basis that male NPC behavior does, which they are blind to. It's all just NPCs that are the problem. Male, female, neutered, whatever, they make up a good 90% of the population and it's likely worse in high population density areas. Always has been.
Jet Black · 2026-08-09 08:24
>>101037
I suggest that they are being guided anyways so there's basically no real democray. It's all ruled by market research.
John Rain · 2026-08-09 08:35
This kind of obsession with the agency and thoughtlessness of other people is misleading and will never ever yield anything positive. Consider what our current prevailing ideology is. Our society is thoroughly taken by the ideological belief that consuming products yields happiness, technological progress is good no matter how blind and that the economy is such that it is now immoral to not to consume, not to work. In everyday life you get bombarded by billion different things that are sold to you as something that needs attention. Considering that you are now supposed to also be on top of that know what cybersecurity experts say on IoT devices when you might have only the faintest clue as to what cybersecurity or what IoT stands for and hardly ever come across the topic in your everyday life all the while most likely your social group conditions you to care about having the new products. It's really easy to soykaf on people because they didn't grow up on the internet while doing a compsci degree and having interest in computers. In another life you'd be the NPC so maybe you should take a look around and inform the people around you instead of doomposting about the end of the world. This is not to say that they shouldn't be informed. I'm saying that they never get this information in the first place and are encouraged not to think about it.

Idiocracy was always the plan, those with power on earth have continually reduced the capacity of humanity.
Those with power on earth are cowards, they want to hole up in their bunkers while they rule with ai and the surveillance state.
Now that ai is here they don't need much intelligence in the peasants, so they empower the worst to subdue anyone who is able to think.

Npcs and their modality have always been the source of the worlds problems.
They are always the ones content with how things are, no matter how bad and refuse to any sort of change or progress no matter if they could benefit of this personally.
The elites and their predecessors have always known this but not had the means to do so, now they are in a position to not only contain and control the npc plague but to permanently eradicate the source of the problem.
Since the whole rona thing i came to realize that peoples nature will and always has geared toward this, the great reset is the accumulated result of this nature.
The entirety of this plan relies on using the npcs own nature against them i noticed rather early on.
It is constantly a back and forth of crisis and reasurance of good intentions resulting in passive and submissive behavior out of cowardness and lazyness disguised as "normality" in their minds, covered up by excuses and ultimately denial.
The npcs will always bend over and seek safety in the herd and push one another another over until not one is left, this is both the method and also the reason why the elites shield themselfs from the normgroid plague.
When you take a closer look at the methods and means used it becomes clear they employ a zero tolerance policy out of the very same reasons, what you and i realized is what the elites have known for decades and planned ahead to expose and at the same time use this same mechanism.
It may seem strange to think about it, but we are in the same boat as the elites but did not have the means or the willingness to do what it takes to free the world from this kind of drag that is the true threat to all sense and reason.
We all know what it entails for use if the elites have total power, but take a moment to think about the eternal dark age or just plain slow self destruction of the entire biosphere at the hands of the normgroid idiocy, some time ago i realized that elites rule is actually the lesser evil for the world as a whole.
The true fact of the matter is the npc scum deserves more evil and vileness than even the elites can provide in their wildest dreams and nothing they can ever do will give justice to the crap the npc maggots did the entire time.

on the contrary I think that acknowledging that some people are thoughtless and careless and inept at many tasks can yield serious positive benefits for both the thoughtless and society at large.
Suppose you are someone who just can't wrap his head around personal finances for whatever reason. If someone who cares about you and sincerely wants to help you takes away your agency and takes the control of your money away from you, you'll probably be doing better than if you were 'free'. This goes obviously for children, and for the elderly, and for many people with mental disabilities, and also arguably for many others.

Back in the days each person had more influence simply because there were fewer people in general and people died sooner and more often, thus everyone counted for something.
Nowadays however people are so many they are easily replaceable like single use utensils (plastic cups and such). Our institutions like democracy and human rights are there to counteract this devaluation of human life.
During times of old Swiss Confederation officials were elected for life but in practice served only around 4 years due to high mortality rates. Nowadays we limit Presidential terms for 4 years and no more than 2 terms total, yet the same faces keep ruling for decades without change.
Generations after generations grow into adults, but could not take reigns as previous generation have not died out yet.

The masses of history didn't have more power than the masses of today. The times where single individuals and their actions had such changing effects to the world are due to technology. Technology first disrupts then oppresses.
The mediaeval peasant is incapable of freeing himself due to his lord's military power. A 20th century peasant had access to the same cheap and mass produced rifle that his overlord’s solders were using. As of today you cannot get your hands on a nuclear bomb.
This is just the state's monopoly on violence which is far from the only control technique the state possess, there are many the tyranny of the old being one of them.

The npc mindset is an arrogant and ignorant one, people would never accept a leader that tells them: think for yourselfs and act reasonable, the npc normgroid wants the illusions of safety trough control.
They do not want to think for themselfs, they want others to think for them and all that with a please and a thank you, why would or anyone with a functioning mind do that, there is no rational reason to keep them around if they cannot be exploited, the normgroids are by all biological and energetic standards a liability.
There is nothing to redeem their existence, all they do is waste resources on pointless infighting and virtue signaling and switch sides more often than they do their underwear without a hint of guilt and seek safety in the herd, the vax fiasco is the perfect example of it and if the current leaders had not exposed all this we would have never found out how many people would do all this if given the chance.

I think this is the very reason and realization why people like adam weisshaupt have started secret societies like the illuminati to conspire against all nations and all people, common people always engage in senseless fight and wastes of resources over nonsense issues to show their non existent superiority by association.
The fact that they chose the slow route and let people like us see says a lot, rebranding the flu as covid and giving out defective medicines that could be substituted trough simplest commonly available and well known remedies.
By driving the herd down the cliff trough their own choice and idiocy rather than simply cleaning house by unleashing the huge stashes of ebola, aids and/or any other biological agent or aerosol lsd, spiking food with heroine or any other thousand options would have been so much simpler, safer and faster than creating this huge spectacle.

Roosevelt keenly wanted to get into the war to the point that he astonished Churchill by his already being so committed to it despite the US having very little reason to join. The US didn't have some defensive pact with Britain or France or Poland, the US wasn't a member of the League of Nations. I have to disagree with that. I have a lot less freedom than somebody from the interwar had. Freedoms are now seen as rewards or perks that my government let me have. This wasn't the case 100 years ago.
I also do not have more influence. My democracy have reached the point where the majority of the people vote to get the money of a minority of net contributors. There is not a single political party that oppose that and that make more than 2%.

Gee where do i begin, perhaps the beginning is that it first broke out in a area where of the world where pollution is the highest, then the fact the covid itselfs, if it ever existed at all since there was no flu that year and both are corona viruses, lethality and damage was totally overblown.
The lockdowns themselfs did way more damage on global health and socio economic levels(except for the companies that benefited of it all enormously) than the disease itself did(but the needless waste and polution reduced dramatically).
During the lockdowns most people did not properly wear the masks, just over the mouth most of the time, this being a moot point since the masks do not protect from viruses, then the masks were just tossed into the woods, despite being contaminated with lain knows what.
Then we had the "vaccine", which was later admitted by vice ceo of bayer was only marketed as a vaccine because most people would take not a mrna gene therapy, which never underwent phase 4 clinical trials.
Then most of the vaccines manufactured were not used and could not be properly disposed of, not to mention what is inside these vaccines is still a trade secret and who knows if anyone has an idea what is inside them at all.
At the same time legitimate cheap proven alternatives to treating viral infections such as oregano and spear mint have been completely swept under the carpet.
But the cream topping of it all is that almost only 4 years after this whole sharade almost nobody(atleast no normgroid person) talks about any of it and just acts like everything is cool and fine, just going on with their lifes as if none of this happened despite the whole thing being so blown over proportions and them making a huge fuzz about it during the time.
The best thing is the worst hypocracy did not come from the media or government but the people who not only just blindly went over the cliff but also demanded others followed their mindless idiocy and blind faith in authority that by themselfs acted inconsistent and schizophrenic.
What a sad sick soykafshow it all was by any standard and all in plain sight for the entire world to not overlook and yet it almost all is forgotten and forgiven, the level of shame and embaressment that would be appropriate is unfathomable.

Yeah, thanks for answer. In my third world country covid was really lowkey to the point even doctors doubted it. When I said that I'm skeptical of vacciness developed in such a short time recently on english-speaking forum, I was attacked by hundreds of people, and from what they say I got an impression that it was much more severe in US. So I'm simply interested to hear more western opinions on this topic, because I don't know much about it at all and almost zero in terms of empirical or cultural observation because it almost didn't exist here (I don't personally know anyone who died from it or anyone who was even sure they had it vs just a flu). On the other hand, I've had pretty nasty and mysterious health issues over the years, but they started way before covid, so the link is questionable. Something that I could more easily attribute to covid is weird lung bubbles/screeching noises that I never had before in my life but that were completely harmless otherwise. The most intelligent person opposing me on vacciness basically hold the line that "probability of nasty complications from vacciness themselves are lower than probability of nasty complications from covid itself", which is the idea that is easy to understand, but I didn't spend much time to try to review and verify research on this topic.

It's almost like in the "muh npcs" worldview everyone is an NPC if you don't like them/don't agree with them.
And it's almost like calling someone and NPC is a shortcut to disregarding everything they have to say just like I did just now, which kind of just makes it an ad-hominem but with implied hubris, as you clearly have to have a sizable self-esteem to say that most people don't even have consciousness and any reasoning abilities.
But really now, I can argue that disregarding everyone as NPCs does make you an NPC because you simplify complex positions and circumstances that drive decision making to "they do it automatically and it can't be changed", you essentially become a second-order NPC who bases everything on this presupposition but you can feel superior towards others this way. You took part of a model you had constellated for you by the media and your own biases, pulled down one of its nodes, and then described a simple thing as though it was revelatory or a gotcha on its own. That's NPC behavior, plain and simple.
>Muh vaccines is around 25% of right wing NPC brain. The rest is niggers, lgbt, jews, and taxes.
This is you saying "I'm a know nothin' but it's okay cuz I'm smart and above it all". NPC.
>On the side note, your presumptions about my rationale
This is just "no you". You correctly detected that I was accusing you of throwing baseless unbacked assertions at the wall and waiting for something to stick, while being blind to your own presuppositions, so your NPC subconscious told you to throw it back at me. "No you".
No, dickhead. You. That's why I told you that, because it's you. Not me, you. That's the point. Try to keep up.

It's a shame that there is just one thing that you just don't seem to understand.
You think that you are one of the few conscious people who is not an NPC because of your hubris or narcissism.
I think that I am not an NPC and everyone else is because of my narcissism.

Well there is no war in Ukraine, just controlled demolition like 911.
The "nothing ever happens" people get away with it because most of everything is much ado about nothing.
Though everything is rotting & circling the drain, they are dead wrong to not admit that.

The worst part about normgroid NPCs is how they can't control their animalistic urges for violence. I think that when a normgroid starts going "ayo you aina gonna talk/look/whatever its pitiful brain is upset about likethea" and start throwing punches, it should be legal to use anything against them.
I also think that since normgroids lack self-reflection and any respect for rules, the only way to deter any further "ayo" by them is giving them a permanent disfigurment as a reminder. I think the old tradition of cutting off ears is unjustly forgotten.

That's not really "natural". Most men can't leave their appartments, and those who happen to have decent wives, have those stay by their side as well even though they could escape abroad.

Ukraine has been thrown to privatization. The only choice they have is either total collapse or going full throttle fascism. I doubt europe will allow it, and with all the goverment property being quietly sold off it is very obvious what the Imperial center has decided to do with its periphery. Even the US admin is now saying that missles are for US, in regards to Ukraine running out of ammunition.
>>101286
Thing is, the main ones who suffer are the eastern ukranians. The westerners and the diaspora are IMO more awful than the iranian one lmfao. They spew of continuation of war while the actual on the ground situation only worsens with each day. Russia can take a financial toll in the end, Ukraine cannot. Lviv people live in comfort of proximity to europe. so for them their concerns of those in khrakiv are minimal.

Russian empire has been created by the mongols, then was overthrown by the communists. Afterwards Lenin created Ukraine to piss off the poles and the empire, this is the ultimate truth......

Very risky, you need connections. From what I know the southern border trough the mountains is the best option without some bullshitery, you will have to get a guide and prepare well though.

> trough the mountains
It's very hard even to get there, because you will have hard time even leaving your city, because there are blockposts and conscription officers at all important transport routes. Moreover, recently there was a huge effort by EU to stop accepting UA men of conscription age. They really dream to deport them all back to Ukraine, but at least currently Romania still doesn't do that, for example. This policy can change any hour. When that happens the only realistic option will be Belarus, and Lukashenko made some public announcements recently they will accept UA men, the biggest problem of this option is that a big part of that border is minefields, another big part is swamps.

My personal solution to this is to just never leave my appartment. This is simply the safest option compared to risks of any alternatives. I've been a full-on hikki since spring 2024. I don't have any connections and little hope to be that Rembo who somehow gets to the border through the whole country of blockposts, and then through (when the current most successful route through the mountains is week long).

Nope. My subconscious got it done. I decided that if I couldn't escape or change anyone, then I should just maim them all instead. So they would be forced to do what they're supposed to and could not go back to their old lives. This weighs on my conscience.

Can't you just define what is believable? You could make like a way cooler world. Maybe there's an alien invasion then tomorrow the gates of hell open and after that two weeks later Hitler comes back from his moon base and after that the ice wall starts melting. If it's just your dream can't it be more dreamlike?

It's easier said than done. I've considered it, I do crazy stuff like that locally and elsewhere all the time, but not usually universally. I'm not sure I'm the only one here though. It seems like there are at least 3 of me, 2 of them know each other well, and none of us really know the 3rd. Most of the time 1 or 2 are asleep. With big things like covid it's always preceded by all 3 of us being awake and coming together to decide on something. It builds to a certain point and then I feel it click, and I know it is so and will happen. This ends and remakes the world. I've tried to just pop things out of existence or remake them in another form (like Lain deleting herself) rapidly, and it works (usually sleep is required in between) but usually strong currents are established and things rearrange around that new template over time. The other thing is I'm not sure why I'm here or any of this exists to begin with. Hence the fear of ending the dream, everything disappears and you're left in the void alone again. Maybe this place is my inner world and I came here to escape something much worse.
But yeah, a lot of people want the nukes, the zombie apocalypse, the rapture, whatever. And things will come to try to convince me to make it happen. I'm basically the L1 cache of a CPU, my role here is the core self. Something holds me back from just trashing the place. I recently was angry, and over a period of weeks became more and more angry, a sort of cold solid rage. It reaches a certain point and you feel it detach from you and you start thinking from a higher mind. I manifested someone's house being flooded. But couldn't bring myself to not write into it a small net positive for them. That's just how it works, can't just do things on a whim. There are several barriers and safeguards.

The world just looks the same way dam too much! Today if you visit a country and seen one of it's cities you have seen them all. The same kinds of building and the same kinds of streets and the same kinds of churches and the same kind of stores and the same kind of institutions and the same kind of... And this happens on a lesser level on continental scales too! I don't want to be able to tell if I'm in Poland or France because the road and the wirepoles look a certain way.
I would be very happy with a world like the one in Kino's Journey. Everything is a localized pseudo-medieval city state where all of the places are unique in some way, and there may even be some more serious danger along your way than some angry brown in a city center.
