Ironically its origin I believe is during the french revolution to describe state violence and oppression and terror. If not the word itself what led to its modern usage in america was its usage as that.
Despite the american government now in its alliance with wealthy elite being an arm of that classes tyranny its usage remains and while you could chalk this up to just movement of language and words I think it has a kind of logic and intention. In Americas origin we analogized ourselves with and learned from the french revolution, revolution and rebelling is very important to the spirit of America. Never rebelling against the elite or wealthy unlike the french, the very idea that there could be a wealthy elite with vastly more (undeserved) power than the average citizen is itself a heretical statement becausd it undermines americas revolutionary spirit. And a country has to hold on to its reason for existence for survival and so we dont end up in the very place we find ourselves where asking "Wait what and why is America". Its like how even though there is plenty of capitalism and wealth inequality in china they still cling to the spirit of marxism and maoism, id argue they do a better job of it then we do even though both our countries need a lot of double think and buzz phrases to justify how much they step outside of said spirit.
Anyways America is very much always (aesthetically and spiritually) in revolution and rebellion just often not ones that lead anywhere (or at least not anywhere better). But the language and spirit of revolution must always be constantly drudged up and get painted on things to keep people believing in their country. Both trump and obamas presidency was predicated on this idea that voting for them and being a part of their movement was somehow revolutionary. It doesnt matter that they were both well connected with those in the ruling class or that the whole purpose of said "revolution" was just for them to become an arm of said ruling class, it just needs to be aesthetically or almost ritually "revolutionary", it just needs to remind and call back to it. Bush was not a revolutionary candidate nor an exciting one, he was a nepo baby to the presidency itself. There was material reasons the war on terror happened but then came the issue of marketing that to the people in not just a swallowable form but one that tasted good. By calling it the war on terror and calling it terrorism and calling the people terrorists it activates that like ancestral callback and places it and thus bush in the realm of revolutionary. It sort of doesnt matter if people were familiar with the words origin as its all sort of implicit. For example many americans love revenge fantasies and the image of the small guy beating up the big bully, even to the point where they will cheer at extremely fuarrrked up things if its presented as such or convince themselves they are the little guy when calling the police on their neighbors kids playing basketball. That whole myth is a callback to revolution and rebellion. America is so clearly the big guy in any confrontation with these terrorists but by calling them terrorists it paints this image of a big bully trying to terrorize innocent weak people and the war on terror as us bravely sticking up for ourselves and saying no we will not be pushed around. Because thats what america does whether its our very own founding revolution or the civil war or mormons or whatever. Ask someone who still has "southern pride" their version of the civil war and they will paint the same picture, a meek south bravely revolting and sticking up for itself. Ask anyone on the other end and rather than talk about the unions victory they will tell you about john brown or nat turner, singular men standing up to the gigantic industry of slavery. Americans have to simultaneously always be the underdog yet also the strongest, and so not only does the war on terror work great as a revolutionary callback it also avoids the embarassment of several wars being called "the war on the taliban" or "the war on al qaeda" and instead places it as a war on terror, something that actually is bigger than the US or any country.

Terrorism is a method, a means. Of course it is real...
Terrorism as a method is only useful if you are a tyrant, or incapable of functioning collaboratively within a system, which is why it's used by outcasts and idiots. This is not the same as asymmetric or guerilla warfare.
Terrorism will never win against groups with strong social bonds.
Hououin Kyouma · 2026-09-08 13:39

Terrorism is the absolute negation of the system and the purest means of fighting it. By terrorism, I don't mean the killing of civilians or those cases where the terrorist label is slapped onto random people for politically convenient reasons. Terrorism has an armed military and murderous element but I'd say its much broader than that. Terrorism is at its core the refusal of the system, the rejection of the global system's symbolic order and turning its techniques and tools against it. Anyone can do this even non-violently, and that's why terrorism is so hated and feared by the authorities. It is threatening because its so accessible. Terrorism is destabilization, countering the system by subverting it. Terrorism can be artistic, it can be in writing, done without injuring anybody.
9/11 was the purest expression of military terrorism. The hijacking of airliners, the destruction of buildings, the turning of the global system's own tools (aviation, box cvtters, email) against the regime. 9/11 exposed the violence of the global order by delivering it to America's doorstep. al-Qaeda transformed the surface of sky scrapers, subway tunnels, ordinary daily spaces into battle zones where an invisible network of terrorists fight like a virus. This is radical subversion but al-Qaeda also subverted by offering the global order a vision of life which it cannot understand.
Putting armed terrorism aside, I figure terrorism hasn't reached its full potential yet. What makes those in power really shake in their boots is the idea of non-violent terrorism, of us doing with our words, writing, art music etc. what al-Qaeda did with weapons.

What al Qaeda did was symbolic. There’s no practical value in killing thousands of random American civilians what mattered was its symbolic effect. They terrorize the system of meaning to expose its assumptions, disrupt it a metaphysical level, and push it towards instability. You don’t have to kill people to do that necessarily and that’s the most dangerous aspect of terrorism.
Terrorist music would follow the same principle. Normal society absorbs and assimilates, so you create music that terrorizes that society’s system of meaning, its sense of reality. Refusal to be profitable, to be productive, or even enjoyable. I don’t know what that music is like. I’m not a musician but I’d like to see it.

>What al Qaeda did
Are you slow? Do you honestly still believe that 9/11 was orchestrated by "evil mooslem terrorists"?
>Six months before the 9/11 attacks the World Trade Center was "privatized" by being leased to a private sector developer. The lease was purchased by the Silverstein Group for $3.2 billion.
>From an economic standpoint, the trade center -- subsidized since its inception -- has never functioned, nor was it intended to function, unprotected in the rough-and-tumble real estate marketplace.
>Also, the towers required some $200 million in renovations and improvements, most of which related to removal and replacement of building materials declared to be health hazards in the years since the towers were built.
>It was well-known by the city of New York that the WTC was an asbestos bombshell. For years, the Port Authority treated the building like an aging dinosaur, attempting on several occasions to get permits to demolish the building for liability reasons, but being turned down due the known asbestos problem.
Sounds like Larry Silverstein is the dumbest investor of all time, right?
>The perfect collapse of the twin towers changed the picture.
>Instead of renovation, Silverstein is rebuilding, funded by the insurance coverage on the property which 'fortuitously' covered acts of terrorism. Even better, Silverstein filed TWO insurance claims for the maximum amount of the policy, based on the two, in Silverstein's view, separate attacks. The total potential payout is $7.1 billion, more than enough to build a fabulous new complex and leave a hefty profit for the Silverstein Group, including Larry Silverstein himself.
>The result of court ruling: Silverstein makes a huge profit off of the 9/11 attacks.
The fuarrrker is still alive too. Makes my blood boil.

There is a difference in supposing that people like silverstein had some advanced knowledge, and that they literally made it happen. Mossad allegedly (wikipedia even says this) had a list of many or all of the hijackers in advance of the attacks.
Even just on the basis of the '93 bombings and the general situation in the country one might reasonably suppose that insurance on the WTC was undervalued and do as silverstein did in this case. That doesn't really absolve him, but there's a difference between being a scummy money-mad jew, and being a 3000x murderer.
( it also appears the insurance payout was 'only' ~4.5 billion https://web.archive.org/web/20090312005342/http://www.observer.com/2009/real-estate/refi-fidi-silverstein-port-talk-wtc-dates-funds )

But then why did silverstein, mossad, and by extension israel have advanced knowledge? The classic question of "who benefits?" comes to mind. israel certainly had a lot to gain from the tragedy. And it fits their later modus operandi of dragging the US into unwinnable wars, like we see again now with Iran. They've been confirmed to carry out false flags in the past (USS Liberty). 9/11 is just another convienient coincidence for them? It's important to think logically about this, because otherwise they could do it again and get away with it again.
>there's a difference between being a scummy money-mad jew, and being a 3000x murderer.
I would argue that even if they didn't orchestrate it (which I don't believe for one second), if they still knew and didn't tell anyone or try to stop it, it still makes them all murderers. Not like they care, ask the people of Gaza if israel cares about being seen as murderers. Someone has to care though, if not them. We are not all cattle to be slaughtered like their talmud says. I don't see my fellow man that way. Sorry to be so dire, but it has gotten this dire lately unfortunately.

Its strange how people think al-Qaeda didn't do 9/11 when Mukhtar and Ramzi bin al Shibh were on TV weeks later giving interviews to Aljazeera explaining exactly how they did it. I feel bad for them. They put in the effort but don't get the credit. People actually think Mossad are capable but most intelligence agencies look down on them, see them as mostly reckless incompetents who shot a random waiter because they thought he was a PLO honcho, despite looking nothing like him. Sileverstein didn't know anything. O'Neil, ex FBI Bin Laden hunter now head of WTC security, did tell him terrorists wanted to bomb the towers but they figured it would be like the 93 bombing. The conspiracy theories about 9/11 are promoted by Mossad, CIA glowies because if people knew a small band of guys hiding in caves pulled off the terrorist spectacular of all time, other people might get bright ideas.

We have to assume that Silverstein must have considered the possibility of a major terrorist attack on the buildings, and reasonable that he suspected one would happen; many people did. Famously Morgan Stanley investigated leaving the complex after the '93 bombing but judged it unreasonable at the time and opted to just drill everyone in emergency evacuation procedures and setup backup sites that were apparently so prepared they were online before either tower collapsed.
Silverstein could have come to the conclusion that the insurance was undervalued without any special knowledge. Its suspicious that he was away from the site at the time, but that's hardly enough grounds to justify someone's execution in my humble opinion.
Even if the Jews orchestrated it to some degree, it was Muslims who executed it and both are to blame and both are our enemies and neither should be allowed in the country.

Not to claim that it was da joos, but it's quite suspicious how the jewish intelligence organs are supposedly the best on Earth and know about everything, except for when conveniently an "intelligence failure" or oversight benefits them. Unfortunately it's difficult to say "nobody knew" when clearly the things that would have to have been known fell well within the capabilities of knowing, which means that as far as most of the world is concerned 9/11 was either
>Allowed to happen by ignoring known intelligence, and then later saying they just never put the pieces together as an excuse
>Resources were intentionally not allocated to knowing, allowing an intelligence gap where they have plausible deniability

Oh, absolutely it was. We are on exactly the same page then, brother. I agree with Uncle Ted (speaking of terrorism...) all technology brings further and further loss of freedom and loss of privacy. It brings suffering and forces us to abandon our humanity.
I would go one step further and say that words themselves were a mistake. God was right about the tower of Babel, he just didn't go far enough.

>"Homo"? Last I checked they were after little girls.
You seem confused. Or you're being obtuse. The "homo" portion of "globohomo" is a blanket term referring to the sexual dysfunction endemic to neoliberalism, which includes pedophilia among other things.
