Why is it that whenever talks about worst people/person in history Nazis or Hitler is mentioned?
How come most people don't talk about those 80 millions Mao Ce Tung killed but focus on 6 million that Hitler killed?
Trinity · 2017-12-11 15:41
Mao killed 30 millions indirectly with famine in 1959-1961. That have not count the people died in Culture Revolution.
Less people mentioned about that is just because they are afraid of China Communism Party, which is still the dictator of China nowadays, and is the only authority. And they are very successful in brain washing. So, many Chinese people - especially the old generation - are still believe Mao is the God.
Nobody special · 2017-12-11 16:00
Yeah no soykaf. There's also Stalin. It is very obvious why. History is written by the victors and the enemy gets demonized beyond ridiculous proportions. Who benifited most from ww2?
Joe Bloggs · 2017-12-11 16:19
I'm kinda curious about that too. My personal guess is the targets of the genocide. If it's a white Christian racist killing Jewish people and other non-whites/non-Christians then that's a horrible prick but if it's a bunch of Chinese people getting killed by other Chinese or Japanese killing and raping Koreans then who cares right? They arr rook tha same.
That's the general attitude I get sometimes.

trying to quantify the amount of people that Mao or Stalin killed via famine is pretty difficult to do, since it wasn't directly recorded and the "official" point wasn't to kill people. Estimates range wildly, the ones that get thrown around are usually on the high end of what historians seriously consider.
In Hitler's Germany, on the other hand, the point was to kill people en masse. Everyone involved with it knew it, there could be no denial.
I don't know about you, but that sounds worse.

Most educated people (and let's also throw in people who stopped after high school but actually read books) don't name Hitler as the worst person ever. Stalin is usually named first, or Mao. Or, they realize that history is a complicated mess and arguing over the person with the "high score" of deaths is rather unimportant and generally a silly thing to debate.
That said, Hitler was still a huge asshole and the hordes of neo-Nazi forum trolls on the internet need to stop downplaying his crimes. Justice is not a matter of relativity; if I kill one person my crime isn't mitigated because you killed three. Also, sage.

because tha joose >: [
probably because people tend to be more reactionary towards the idea of an ethnicity being wiped out, after all what if that ethnicity was your own. There is nothing you can do. Even neo nazis today usually try to say the white race is being wiped out and thats one of their main selling points. Obviously as people we have some kind of gut wrenching reaction to people being killed for existing vs being killed for being perceived enemies of the state. Im not saying one is worse either, just that it seems to be the case.
Or perhaps its many people, perhaps not all people do have that same reaction hence there being such a divide. With some people saying the holocaust and lynchings are blown out of wack and thus believing it must be some kind of conspiracy or propaganda because why would so many care about these over much larger death counts.
it also may be somewhat related to people seeing innocence or obliviousness to whats happening making the outcome seem worse. For example I think people or I know I picture and ive read some accounts of gulags that these people knew soykaf was fuarrrking crazy, and that they would be dying there and working themselves to the bone. Meanwhile holocaust accounts there tends to be a lot of confusion involved with regards to the people. And finally as an american I don't know and have never directly heard from anybody whose parents or they themselves were in a gulag or a victim of the cultural revolution. But I do know people who were relatives of holocaust survivors and have heard from some. I think a lot must have came over here. Personal accounts always make the subject more real.
Nobody important · 2017-12-12 02:26

Oh, I've heard it before. And I believe it. That's not the point I'm making though, I'm saying: it's not as direct of an attack, and the methods used aren't nearly as drastic. If you'll look at gulags, for example, the average person had a *way* higher chance of getting out with their life than in any Nazi death camp. Or with holodomor: soldiers weren't going around burning down villages and killing everyone in them, they were taking food. Seems like a difference to me, no?

Of the 90,000 soldiers who surrendered at Stalingrad only 5000 returned alive. The biggest expulsion of a people in modern history was the removal of Germans from East Prussia, there is footage of Soviets getting German civilians including women and children to lie on the road in a line and then running them all over in a truck, they didn't even deem it worth wasting ammunition.
Void · 2017-12-12 03:40

Hitler and the Nazis are hated so much because they systematically orchestrated mass genocide against Jews, gays, the disabled, gypsies and more for bigoted reasons.
Mao's cultural revolution wasn't some deliberate attempt to wipe out all of rural China. It was an extremely soykafty attempt at modernising Chinese industry. That's not to say that Mao's China wasn't an awful, and he wasn't, but ideologically he's less deplorable. Kind of simple.

Most Syrian refugees are not Syrian or Refugees, plus there were 11 million Germans forced to move.
Just look it up on Youtube or somewhere I don't save the link of every single piece of media I see.
The soviets also were notorious for the mass rapes and murders that took place in German territory. The thing about the holocaust was that firstly it was exaggerated, there is no way a country like Germany could feed, house, move, cloth and exterminate 12 million people whilst fighting total war, allot of the facts and numbers around the holocaust just don't make sense. I'm not saying it didn't happen just that it did not happen as they say it did. Also the holocaust was a targeted systematic experimentation by a fanatic element of the Nazis against specific groups, the atrocities committed by the Soviets were standard practice by all units in general. The German army itself actually was quite humane and reasonable(army not SS), even so of course they would have committed atrocities at times, everybody did.

Socialism always involves the nationalization of industries, also generally comes with some sort of conscript or forced labor to buoy the economy when it inevitably falters. >Had fleed. They were immigrants looking for a better life.
One thing is to flee in search of better life, giving all you got to try and survive in new country and learning a new language COMPARED TO going through 7 borders of countries that denied your asylum status (because your country isn't at war), going to some northern country that is willing to cash you out money for living in their apartments and barely learning the language subsidized all free.

Your anger and discontent misdirected at me and my ilk because you can't handle your repressed anger so you project that whole mentality on people on the other side of political spectrum because it's zealous to even imagine a world where left and right will join forces against the people who created 2 party system that imprisons all of us."
Fun game to be honest, although I honestly wish you to not act smug while obviously you are angered and annoyed by threads and posts of this kind. It shows your true colors. If you are acting smugish, at least act smugish and all knowing all the way not this half hearted bullsoykaf.

>Hitler was the worst leader
Wait, wasn't he a vegetarian who pushed for animal rights and was against pregnant women smoking and created a government program that cut down unemployment to 0% ?
Hmmm really makes you think...

>Second hand story telling? Don't know about you but that isn't my cup of tea...
it's pretty consistent first account story telling, even accepted by honest biographers of Hitler.
>Gods chosen people made a pseudo science that calls upon claims of "imbalance chemicals in brain" as enough scientific evidence to create that branch of "science"? Wut wuuut?
yeah whatever. 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt trolling.
>That pseudo science has enough backing behind it as postulations based on hunches.
daddy problems are well documented.
>Basically give me enough time and through evolutionary psychology I will explain to you why sexism and homophobia is good for whole society. Give me a damn break.
relevance? nice strawman.
>psycho analyzing 80 year old dead body based on second hand stories
most of these facts were established while hitler was alive.
>He WAS blue eyed.
i know that. my statement was "he envied blond, blue eyed muscular men"
>You know I heard a lot of "stuff" about Hitler... that he was pedophile, that he was into soykaf fetish, that he was homosexual, that he was a druggie on meth... A LOT of absurd claims based on little to no evidence.

there's a difference. what i said makes sense and it applies to you. what you said can't be implied from what i said.
> because it's zealous to even imagine a world where left and right will join forces against the people who created 2 party system that imprisons all of us.
yeah i'm arguing hitler's fanboys have issues and against hitler being a good person. i wouldn't use the word zealous, i would say stupid, because i think the problem of the world is wealth inequality. liberals represent me pretty well. on the other hand, you don't have a popular alt-right voice in the conservative or liberal parties, which probably explains your weird claim.

boy did you take it personally. almost like i actually hit the right button...?

He actually was on meth and a cocktail of other drugs prescribed by his doctor. That's more of a thing of the times though, not much was known about it and quacks often prescribed it and people sold it, there was a meth based product sold on the civilian market that German soldiers took until it was derezzed in 1941 or so, the British were giving their soldiers drugs based on speed at the same time and after though.

Even if I told you that I live in upper middle class with a father and family that loves me you would still think you're right.
To your kind there is no argument or logic that can persuade you.
Talking to you is just a waste of time.
