Am I a piece of shit?

I recently got over a somewhat messy breakup, basically I loved her very deeply but she was an unstable mess. I don't feel like talking about it much. Fast-forward a couple months to now, I'm now lonely(and horny) and I decide to start seeing this girl I dated a couple times way back when. Her personality is like mine, very awkward, she's somewhat boring and has a very average body. Don't get me wrong, when I'm with her I feel great and it feels great, but really I think the main reason I'm going for this is because I have nowhere else to turn to for a relationship. She's not my type whatsoever. I think I'm leading her on in a way? She obviously is falling for me but my own feelings are much murkier, and she's never had a real relationship before at all. I don't want to get stuck in this but I also don't want to be hurtful.

If you don't like her give it up. You may regret this later on and end up breaking up. ##Warning## This message is brought to you by an antissocial virgin.

I learned the hard way that you shouldn't get romantically involved with a friend only because you feel lonely. It'll only be worse in the long run because you'll eventually feel lonely again but this time you also hurt a friend. I completely get how you feel and what you mean by >because I have nowhere else to turn to for a relationship But that basically means that you're not ready to be into a relationship again. You'll only end up fuarrrking up soykaf way more than before if you only get attached to someone if you feel lonely. There isn't a really good way out of this without getting out of your comfort zone, so I basically have two pieces of advice for you: - If you're only doing this because you feel lonely and you'd like someone to hang out, or if you're doing it only for the sex or whatever, let her know about it. That way, if you two get into something, she'll know that you'll be messing around for a good time rather than being completely emotionally invested in the relationship. There's nothing wrong with this as long as both of you are ok with the idea. - Not having somewhere else to turn to means that you need to meet more people. Friends of friends, social situations, etc. It's a pain in the ass but you can't just want a relationship with someone new without actually going through the social part. That being said, I wish you the best, Lain. Here's to hoping your emotional life gets better (and hopefully with no one being hurt in the process).

>>4012 As someone who's been on the other side of this kind of situation, thank you for being conscientious. I know it's a soykafty conversation to have, but it's much better than the alternative.

>>4012 That's the best course of action my man. Good luck!

Good on you. I know its wrong but i'd continue things and then probably eventually leave her. I'd probably blame her for driving me away because I blame myself for driving other people away. Its stupid to acknowledge this is wrong and then say this is what id do, but I know in the moment how I would think. I rarely get to be in that position where the other person just adores me, im always the one who just would do anything for the other person and then they hurt me, and sometimes I feel like its my turn. And I also feel like when I do this to that other person they will be more like me now and be stronger, and I usually contact them again after and we have a friendship that is even stronger because we both could leave eachother at any time but choose not to. We dont stay because we feel obligated or dependent. It builds character in a fuarrrked up way?

>>4033 >>I rarely get to be in that position where the other person just adores me, im always the one who just would do anything for the other person and then they hurt me, and sometimes I feel like its my turn. I get you, Lain. I can remember being in both situations, and my conclusion is that these two extremes will most likely lead to bad ends. I am looking for something in the middle, where the other person likes me just a bit more than I like them back. This way I can keep the power over the relationship while still enjoying it.

>>4034 I think your probably right. Or better yet where both people like eachother equally but that can be difficult. Neither person SHOULD have to feel insecure about their place in the relationship
