Hello lainons, What are the biggest mistakes you did in your life? Things that distracted or completely derailed you and your projects, ambitions, dreams and paths. Hopefully we can all learn from each other and our experiences.

in elementary school, that i interpreted being nice as to not stand up for oneself and against others. to be fair to me it was not like i had anyone else to teach me.

I didn't tell a girl that i liked (who i knew liked me back) that i loved her, and didnt see her for 2 years after that. Now she has dietary issues and is a general cunt, but i still like to believe that if i was there for her, i could've avoided it.

>>2492 Similar to >>2507 There was a grill I wanted since the 5th grade and I wanted her bad. I only spoke to her a hand full of times leading up to my 9th grade economics and government class. She next to me because our last names had close letters, and we talked more often. Eventually I just became obsessed and started stalking her. The years went by, She never found out how much I knew and I'll never have the chance to have her again. My grades went down as a result of this and playing ssbm too much. Didn't get into good college as result.

When I was younger I let an older man use me for sex. It emotionally damaged me and I can not connect with people on any deeper level than passing friendship. I put a lot of my personal traits and tastes down to the time spent with him.

>>2492 During CS school when my grades went down and I started to hate the classes, I had the choice of either quitting or staying and working harder just so that I could get the degree. But I stayed and worked the same, then didn't get the degree which was a waste of my time and my parent's money.

I'm about to take a decision. I'm currently a math teacher, salary is good (kinda premium teacher), not too many hours, but I have to teach 11-15 yo, and that is really difficult (for many reasons). Of course the position will evolve, but I will have to teach children for at least some years. I may leave, or I may not. The problem is that I somehow fear the real job market, so I may go back to academia, but that path that I already left is not that easy to go back to.

I don't believe in mistakes. You don't know they were mistakes till after, so its just as likely if it didn't happen then it would happen later. Some people are fine taking advice and spare themselves some grief. Some people have to see for themselves. And not to mention what one person considers a fuarrrk up another can consider a success.

Been in uni for three years and passed less than 15 classes (not america). At the start of the semester always tell myself that I'll work hard but can't keep up with procrastination and I'm close to thirty yo. Also this >>3066

Not talking to one girl about my feelings for her when I was 15. Why? Because two weeks after I first met her she started dating my friend and you know, BROS BEFORE HOES, two years passed, she moved to another country to study at one of the most ellite universities at Europe. She will probably find caring and loving husband from upper class she deserves and I will continue my downfall. I am such a moron.

I guess my biggest mistake was not trying to connect with people. Either that or going to school entirely and not having been a drug addicted neet from the start, spend 10 years there and it wasnt of any use. >>3059 Also this, it didnt all seem like i mistake when i made them.
