>tfw 26 >tfw failed the comptia 901 months ago >tfw suck at life >tfw going to try for the comptia 901 again somehow even though I think the test was complete bullsoykaf and way to comprehensive >tfw suck at everything Should I kill myself?

The question should be "why shouldn't I?" But it's obvious to everyone that you're just seeking for attention with thise thread which is why they don't reply They might now when I replied, to ward off evil peoplez and whatnot, but you're blatantly obvious in your intentions OP You feed off other people feeling pitty for you, is that it? You like it because it makes you feel cared for and valuable to others, right? You're worse than those people that are emotional leeches "If you really wanted to do it you would have done it already" still implies tho, pussy you wont fuarrrking do it

>>2484 You sound like you've had a bad day. Chin up. >Should I kill myself? Don't joke around with that mind. >>2485 Spoken like a true 12 year old. >it's obvious to everyone that you're just seeking for attention with thise thread No soykaf Sherlock. You don't make a thread hoping that everyone is going to ignore it. >You feed off other people feeling pitty for you, is that it? It's called compassion, not pity, and "feeding off it" is the most normal thing in the world. >You're worse than those people that are emotional leeches No. That's not what being a leech is. Being a leech is when you get your own validation at the expense of others. Like, for instance, when you say someone looking for a pick me up is just after attention so you can feel that you're better than them.

>>2484 You need to think about what went wrong and fix it. Most likely you spent too much time doing something else instead of studying. If you did study a lot and still failed then consider that computers might not be your thing and that's ok. Find something else you like.

>>2486 And here is the white knight ready to save the day See OP? Nobody gives a soykaf about you here. You are anonymous so nobody even knows who you are, they couldn't care. >You don't make a thread hoping that everyone is going to ignore it. He was seeking attention FOR HIMSELF, not his thread. Thats what it means "attention seeking". >It's called compassion, not pity, and "feeding off it" is the most normal thing in the world. No, there is difference between compassion and pity. OP purposefully written his soykafty life story the way he did to get people to say "aww everything is okay, no need to worry" and one liner soykaf like that which don't really help him beyond him feeling validated. That isn't compassion, if OP really wanted compassion he would extrapolate onto why and how so this thread gets constructive. Other than that, heres a great excerpt from article about compassion and pity The downside of pity is that you are potentially seeing the person as being “less than,” and may in some way contribute to their suffering. In an extreme, seeing someone as a victim holds that person in the space of being a victim. Ie you aren't fuarrrking helping OP by saying to him that soykaf will be okay just blindly. >Being a leech is when you get your own validation at the expense of others. Some people use others as leeches. OP uses one liners of "compassion" to help himself feel like he matters to anonymous strangers over internet. It isn't really helping his situation or his mental health. He is just being a leech.

How is this related to Technology?

>>2484 The answer to that question is simple You spam tfw, so it is all about how you feel, not what actually is the reality of the circumstance. You shouldn't kill yourself, you are young and you have a life to live and time to spend. Side note, the answer to most questions of the form Should I X ? where X is some course of drastic action is almost always No, or if it is Yes, then it is No , not yet but Yes if Y,Z ,A where Y , Z and A are a minimum of 3 well thought out justifications for actions, ideally that have been peer reviewed as well as internally reflected and externally planned and evaluated. In solace, I quote the embedded webm's lyrics Father and Son by Yusuf Islam / Cat Stevens It's not time to make a change Just relax, take it easy You're still young, that's your fault There's so much you have to know Find a girl, settle down If you want you can marry Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy I was once like you are now And I know that it's not easy To be calm when you've found Something going on But take your time, think a lot Think of everything you've got For you will still be here tomorrow But your dreams may not How can I try to explain? When I do he turns away again It's always been the same, same old story From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen Now there's a way And I know that I have to go away I know I have to go It's not time to make a change Just sit down, take it slowly You're still young, that's your fault There's so much you have to go through Find a girl, settle down If you want you can marry Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy All the times that I've cried Keeping all the things I knew inside It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it If they were right I'd agree But it's them they know, not me Now there's a way And I know that I have to go away I know I have to go

>>2488 >And here is the white knight ready to save the day Yeah, sure sounds good. >Nobody gives a soykaf about you here. Speak for yourself. >He was seeking attention FOR HIMSELF, not his thread And? Same point. Everyone wants some attention now and then. It's the most normal thing in the world. >Ie you aren't fuarrrking helping OP by saying to him that soykaf will be okay just blindly. OP doesn't really need help. They're fine, they failed a course, feel soykafty about it and want a little pick me up. All is well. >like he matters to anonymous strangers over internet He does. Again, speak for yourself. This is the usual take something perfectly normal and twist it so that it's a bad thing. "Attention seeking" when someone wants a little compassion. "White knight" when someone offers it. "insider trade" when friends are nice to each other. It's all the same bullsoykaf. Take normal human interaction, where we do validate and reassure each other and feel good both giving and receiving, and pretend there's something wrong with that (protip: there isn't). >It isn't really helping his situation or his mental health Having your emotions validated is good for your mental health. >He is just being a leech. On the contrary, he's adding to the situation, not taking away. I'm happy he came and shared his worries (though less of the suicide mentioning next time OP. I know you weren't serious but it's a serious subject and not everyone who says soykaf like that here is joking), because it gives me a chance to reassure him and feel a little better about myself as well. It's a win-win. If you don't want to be part of it, fair enough, but it's not for you to decide if he's being a leech or not. That's up to the rest of us who actually do the whole normal human interaction thing. Thanks for sharing OP.

>>2489 CompTIA is an IT certification. OP says he failed the exam but with no elaboration at all, it does look like the thread has taken a very non-/tech/ path.
AssPirate · 2017-09-07 11:37
Sorry to hear that OP. I've been looking at getting some certs to fill out my resume and get my foot in the door. Been sitting around doing nothing and feeling soykaf for too long. Was looking at CompTIA because I've seen it mentioned in quite a few applications. Looking at what it covers, it sounds like I should be familiar with most of it too. Let me know if you want to work on it together. I could really use a schedule to add some structure to my days. Anybody else interested feel free to message me too.

>>2484 I don't think it's too late for you to make a change. I'm 24 and I only really started working in my 'field' full time when I was 23. I didn't go to school or get a degree in my field of choice btw, I went for something else much dumber and only tangentially related. At the same time I feel like I have so much further to go. There's more certs to get, I want to pivot into security, I want to start my own business some day. I feel like you need to enumerate your goals, and you need to start fighting for the life you want. I've given myself the hard goal that I will be in the top 1000 in my profession by the time I am 30, and that I will have a very successful business/product by the time I am 50. Gives me something to live for.

26. Have severe test anxiety and had a mental breakdown on ccna when I was 24. Now i'm out of practice with iOS. Stupid thing is that i'm very good practically at dealing with networks stuffs. Haven't been able to get a steady career because of it and health problems. Not to even mention the part where i've never had a relationship. So what i'm saying is I feel your pain anon.
Koos van der Merwe · 2017-09-19 17:17
Honestly don't feel bad OP. I failed the A+ exam, but it's all bullsoykaf. Find other exams that will suffice to replace the 901, most employers won't know the difference, and the ones that do won't mind.
