ravecandy - CLI for Drugs

deathslittlegirl · 2021-09-12 06:30
https://github.com/deathslittlegirl/ravecandy ravecandy is a front-end to search the depths of psychonaut.wiki. It can be used on the fly to research information about drugs in a heartbeat. it is made in python for maximum software portability. the install.sh script easily deploys the full functionality of the application. now, you can use your laptop to pull up information about (what is to be) every drug known to mankind through psychonaut.wiki. made while high myself.
deathslittlegirl · 2021-09-12 06:32
incoming features include lists of deep web marketplaces, drug synergy, dissociatives and a complete stim list, cheap high list, marketplaces to buy each substance listed

>>9121 1. This is not a frontend for the psychonaut wiki, it just stores strings that are shortened versions of psychonaut wiki articles 2. Why does each drug have it's own Python file, just store the strings in a dictionary or list or multiple text files 3. Why does the installer move files to the home folder and try then copy the same files to a folder named rc 4. Why didn't you use lowercase function to make searching case sensitive 5. Why did the installer create a file named rc instead of a folder 6 . Why did the installer try to modify bashrc and fail, did you seriously think echo was for modifying files? (at least you didn't delete .bashrc) 7. Why does the program create a folder named trip 8. Why is there a python file named ravecandy that's missing a file extension that does similar things to ravecandy.py 9. Why doesn't the installer remove all the files and folders it creates 10. Why does the program copy ravecandy.py to two different locations 11. Why didn't you use substring search to avoid redundancy 12. What is the purpose of the weed, lsd, dxm, alc, caffeine, cocaine, nicotine and fentanyl functions, just inline if you're only calling them once 13. Why didn't you use the or operator in your long list of elif statements 14. Don't put Python files in the home folder 15. Moving the files out of the directory ravecandy means you can't install the program after uninstalling 16. What's the point of breaking the drug information into individual variables when the user can't access them individually 17. Why do you import sys and os multiple times You're verifying the stereotype that this site is full of trannies who pretend they know how to program, you even used cool retro term to try to look cool.

>>9125 changes were made and now ive stepped down from the attempt to make it appear cool. its just a simple useless drug search now. https://github.com/deathslittlegirl/grungegirl the idea was just to make something that means you dont have to go online to look stuff up. cute and harmless. sorry for the inconvenience.

>>9127 im working on not importing python files into home. im just rushing and throwing darts at the wall. allow me to be retarded for a bit please, this is going to be something special when i get more complete versions out of it. i am going to edit the install and python script to put files in a folder inside of home and access it from there. its coming together and being dialed back into something less stupid

>>9127 Laaame. Stick to your vision. If you liked it there was probably something good about it. If you want to do it like a real software enginerd, make one project a thin wrapper around the other.

>>9130 Oh you should see the page now. I have a huge vision. Updates are being strategically planned for maximum potentiation. This is going to be something extremely cool. Also, the installation script is no longer stupid. It does everything it needs to do. So right now, the program is sitting pretty and is fully testable on Linux. Enjoy.

alright. for now, the software isn't a burning mess. the mods haven't brought down the hand of god on my thread yet, so im peeking my head back out. >>9125 about half of the glaring issues in using the program at its most basic level have been eradicated. the spider leg file layout will come in handy when i start to get crazier with the programming. im learning python but im getting in patient. im forcing what i know into something bigger than the sum of its parts. im sorry for any messes that will inevitably occur along the way. but you have my word that i will not be disappointed with the final outcome of this application.
deathslittlegirl · 2021-09-15 02:20
Version 0.1.5 of grungegirl is an effective overhaul of what was once a mess. The spider leg layout will seem organization in the upcoming 0.2.0 update, that will feature very basic Tor integration. I am trying to get it to install its dependencies on different systems without being intrusive. That explains the mess in the install.py file. But enjoy. There is much more planned.

Okay looks cool but how tf do i install this
deathslittlegirl · 2021-09-15 21:20
>>9139 install python, browsh and then go to the releases section of the github page and download the .tar.gz file. unpack the file and run "python install.py" in the folder from a terminal. it should install quickly. im not sure how it works on windows (yet, although that's admittedly not in my line of sight right now because there's still so many glaring issues with the program to just wrap it up inside of an exe.) but you should be able to launch the program as a command on linux for now. sorry for any inconvenience. i made this thread to just test the waters. its still very much in an experimental state. ive tested it only on arch linux so far, so there's a command in the install script to install browsh through yay. that's for me alone and im pretty sure the script continues the installation if the yay command fails.

Roger Pollack · 2021-12-20 12:22
>>9121 thats cool. I believe it works just by scraping psychonautwiki? I had another idea regarding webscraping, i missed some really cool screening in local indie cinema. So i have this idea of writing script that will webscrape list of websites of local cinemas in search of something "interesting". By interesting it will use user's RYM or letterboxd profile, if scraped website will contain some movies/genres high rated by user, then notification about interesting event will be send to user. I believe you can use some machine learning for it, i mean something more complicated than "this user rated this film 9/10, and it plays in X cinema this week, send notification to him", but i am not sure how to use it exactly. Any ideas?

mildly interesting, although I don't think I would ever use it (I prefer erowid for whatever reason). I'm surprised you could write or use it while high, I can barely use a command line when I'm high and if I'm trippin then it's unlikely I'd figure out how to interact with a computer at all.

bump. Not OP but some time ago i wrote program to calculate how much drug is in your organism right now using dosage, time when you took it and halftime of given drug. My next idea was to create method that will tell you is it safe to take drug X given that quantity of drug Y is still in your organism, but gave up this idea cause it was not needed as much to me. I wanted to use pic related to calculate how dangerous would be given interraction import time from datetime import datetime, timedelta global drugs drugs = { "LSD": { "interactions": { "Tramadol": 1, "MDMA": 0 }, "halftime": 3.5 }, "MDMA": { "interactions": { "Tramadol": 4, "LSD": 0 }, "halftime": 8 }, "Tramadol": { "interactions": { "MDMA": "4", "LSD" : "1" }, "halftime": 6 } } def half_time_now(drug, dosage, timeOfTaking): halftime = drugs[drug]["halftime"] t = timeOfTaking d = dosage while t <= datetime.now(): t += timedelta(hours=halftime) d -= (d/2) return d if __name__ == '__main__': print(half_time_now('MDMA', 120, datetime.strptime("08/14/22 01:40:26", '%m/%d/%y %H:%M:%S'))) print(half_time_now('LSD', 175, datetime.strptime("01/01/23 00:30:26", '%m/%d/%y %H:%M:%S')))

>>11884 C for effort. This will not do fractional values so if you're taking 100 units of MDMA, in 60 minutes this will show 50 units when in reality you are at or around peak blood concentration. And it's generally blood concentration that you want to model. The right way to write this program to is calculate a range of values, display a table or a graph, and say "you are here".
Hououin Kyouma · 2023-02-14 21:15
>>11884 I wouldn't trust that table at all. These normal person sites always mark alcohol-benzodiazepine combination as very dangerous. I've been doing it since 14 y.o. , and never had any health problem from it. sometimes i combined a whole bottle of vodka with some pills, other times i combined a few can of beers with over 200 pills all at once (yes you read it right, and we are talking about 0.5mg alprazolam pills). This is not at all very dangerous. The ketamine column is bullshit too, and i'm pretty sure the Tramadol-2Cx red rectangel is bullshit too. It is common to combine MDMA with 2Cx, MDMA is a hell of a tsunami of serotonine, tramadol is small time compared, i don't see interaction. And what about cocaine and opiates being extremely dangerous? haven't they heard about speedballing or belushi-ing? millions of people do it every day, just don't fuarrrking overdose it, me breda. (all of this was written assuming highly dangerous means close to normal doses make you end up either at the hospital or the graveyard) Opioids and SSRIs resulting in serotonin syndrome? WTF. Tramadol does totally the same, combining serotonin reuptake inhibition, and opioid agonism, just in a molecular level, not in a mixture of substances. DXM and MXE combination result in serotonin syndrome? What are these guys on? did they try out all the combinations above themselves, in a short period of time, and ended up brain damaged? DXM and opioid combination is very popular too, DXM is used to reduce the speed of tolerance building with opioids. Never ever heard about an incident caused by this combination. So yeah this table is bullshit
Ivan Petrov · 2023-02-22 02:16
>>12272 >>12292 >assuming highly dangerous means close to normal doses That's where you're wrong. Millions of people also drive while drunk but it's regarded as dangerous. "Safe" in this context means "you can mix these two things as much as you want and they won't make you feel worse than the individual drugs you're taking". Dangerous means that they just synergize and could fuarrrk you up. The fact that you survived means absolutely nothing (survivor bias, ever heard of it?) This chart is not made for you. You can mix all you like. This chart is made for people who have little to no experience with drugs and might actually mess up, people who do not have your same tolerance, list goes on. I also mixed a lot of drugs with 0 issues but I've also seen people have seizures and faint. I wouldn't suggest that to anyone and wouldn't expect any drugs chart to say "no, yeah, it's all safe, you just need to have balls and be lucky". Concerning lack of empathy

>>12272 >alcohol-benzodiazepine combination I heard that temazepam+alcohol is pretty dangerous combo, so I think it probably depends on what kind of benzos you are using. Another example: I would guess that clonazepam+alcohol can be also pretty bad because it can be hard to notice the effects of clonazepam, and if you take a high doze of benzos (especially when combined with alcohol) you are prone to doing some really stupid soykaf and forgetting about it. Also, some people don't die directly from benzo+alcohol combo but they might get tired, fall asleep and then choke on vomit.
